In this work the capabilities of a high-order Discontinuous Galerkin (DG) method applied to the computation of turbomachinery flows are investigated. The Reynolds averaged Navier–Stokes equations coupled with the two equations k-ω turbulence model are solved to predict the flow features, either in a fixed or rotating reference frame, to simulate the fluid flow around bodies that operate under an imposed steady rotation. To ensure, by design, the positivity of all thermodynamic variables at a discrete level, a set of primitive variables based on pressure and temperature logarithms is used. The flow fields through the MTU T106A low-pressure turbine cascade and the NASA Rotor 37 axial compressor have been computed up to fourth-order of accuracy and compared to the experimental and numerical data available in the literature. 相似文献

The laser-bolometric infrared spectroscopy is an efficient method for measuring the internal energy distributions of molecular beams. Additional informations about the kinetic energy distribution of molecules in a selected internal state can be obtained from time resolved experiments. A fast superconducting bolometer and a pulsed infrared CO2 laser have been used for testing the use of this technique as a universal tool for molecular beam diagnostics. Experimental results are presented and analyzed for pure SF6 and helium seeded with 5% SF6 beams. The efficiency of fast superconducting bolometers, used for molecular beam time-of-flight measurements, is discussed. A comparison is made between time resolved laser-bolometric technique and alternative molecular beam diagnostic methods. 相似文献

Heterogeneous polymerization of acrylonitrile initiated by ceric ammonium sulfate–citric acid (C.A.) redox system is reported at 35 ± 0.2°C under nitrogen atmosphere. The rate of monomer disappearance is found to be proportional to [C.A.]0, [Ce4+]0.63, and [Monomer]1.59. The rate of ceric ion disappearance is directly proportional to ceric ion concentration but independent of monomer concentration. The initial rate was independent of [H2SO4]. The molecular weight of polyacrylonitrile increases with increasing monomer concentration and decreasing ceric ion concentration. Activation energy was found to be 27.9 kJ/mol. 相似文献

We provide the exact analytic solution of the stochastic Schr?dinger equation describing a harmonic oscillator interacting with a non-Markovian and dissipative environment. This result represents an arrival point in the study of non-Markovian dynamics via stochastic differential equations. It is also one of the few exactly solvable models for infinite-dimensional systems. Spectral investigation around 6115 cm-1 for simultaneous detection of ammonia, methane and ethylene in gas samples is presented. Experimental data on the ν2+ν3+ν4 combination band of ammonia are reported with a resolution of 1.5 GHz. A trace gas analyzer based on a resonant photoacoustic
cell and an external cavity diode laser has been used for detection. A data fitting procedure has been developed in order
to improve the system sensitivity and to limit the need of a reference cell. The selected spectral region allows a sensitivity
of about 60 ppm for ammonia, 6 ppm for methane and 30 ppm for ethylene with 0.3 mW laser power. An application of simultaneous
detection of such molecules in a mixture reproducing their typical abundances in real gas samples from biomass gasification

We reconsider the decoherent histories approach to quantum mechanics and analyze some problems related to its interpretation which we believe have not been adequately clarified by its proponents. We put forward some assumptions which, in our opinion, are necessary for a realistic interpretation of the probabilities that the formalism attaches to decoherent histories. We prove that such assumptions, unless one limits the set of the decoherent families which can be taken into account, lead to a logical contradiction. The line of reasoning we follow is conceptually different from other arguments which have been presented and which have been rejected by the supporters of the decoherent histories approach. The conclusion is that the decoherent histories approach, to be considered as an interesting realistic alternative to the orthodox interpretation of quantum mechanics, requires the identification of a mathematically precise criterion to characterize an appropriate set of decoherent families which does not give rise to any problem. 相似文献

We report on how different cluster deposition regimes can be obtained and observed by in situ scanning tunneling microscopy by exploiting deposition parameters in a pulsed laser deposition process. Tungsten clusters were produced by nanosecond pulsed laser ablation in Ar atmosphere at different pressures and deposited on Au(1 1 1) and HOPG surfaces. Deposition regimes including cluster deposition-diffusion-aggregation, cluster melting and coalescence and cluster implantation were observed, depending on background gas pressure and target-to-substrate distance which influence the kinetic energy of the ablated species. These parameters can thus be easily employed for surface modification by cluster bombardment, deposition of supported clusters and growth of films with different morphologies. The variation in cluster mobility on different substrates and its influence on aggregation and growth mechanisms has also been investigated. 相似文献
