The study of cluster phenomenon at accelerator energies

Correlation between the particles from the proton-nucleus interactions in emulsion at 70 GeV/c is presented through the study of the rapidity gap analysis and compared with the two-particle rapidity correlations. It is observed that the strength of correlation decreases as the size of cluster increases. Asymmetry between the forward and backward components were also studied.Authors are thankful to Prof. K. D. OPTIMAL HARVESTING POLICY FOR INSHORE-OFFSHORE FISHERY MODEL WITH IMPULSIVE DIFFUSION

This article studies the inshore-offshore fishery model with impulsive diffusion. The existence and global asymptotic stability of both the trivial periodic solution and the positive periodic solution are obtained. The complexity of this system is also analyzed. Moreover, the optimal harvesting policy are given for the inshore subpopulation, which includes the maximum sustainable yield and the corresponding harvesting effort.     

Bimodal fission in binary and ternary spontaneous fission of 252Cf

The hot bimodal fission of ²⁵²Cf is reexamined with new high-statistics data. We constructed a γ-γ-γ coincidence cube for binary fission and LCP-gated γ-γ matrix for ternary fission. By identifying the secondary fission fragments from their γ-ray transitions, we measured the yields for various fission splits. The normal neutron yield distribution is found to be Gaussian for Xe-Ru. However, the binary fission split of Ba-Mo is found to exhibit a bimodal neutron distribution with the “hot mode” corresponding to ≈3.1% of the total yield. In α ternary fission, the first measurements of yields for specific fission splits are presented. The Te-α-Ru and Xe-α-Mo neutron yields fit well with a single mode, but the Ba-α-Zr split shows evidence for an enhanced hot mode with an intensity of ≈13.8% of the normal mode. Multiple Polarization Encoding for Gray Image Encryption Based on Liquid Crystal Exclusive OR Logic

This work proposes and demonstrates the feasibility of gray image encryption using multiple polarization encoding, in which the cascaded twisted nematic liquid crystal devices sandwiched between a crossed polarizer pair are used to implement exclusive OR (XOR) logical encryption and decryption. The polarization encoding scheme provides a multichannel XOR logic operation to secure bit-plane images derived from a gray image, according to the adiabatic following properties of twisted nematic liquid crystal devices. Experimental data reveal that the multiple polarization encoding schemes for gray image encryption and decryption are performed with acceptable image quality by selecting appropriate polarization orientation and modulation conditions. Both analytic and experimental results are presented and discussed.     

Synthesis of thiazolo[5,4-b]pyridine-2-carboxamides

A convenient procedure was developed for preparation of thiazolo[5,4-b]pyridine-2-carboxamides by oxidation of monothiooxamides synthesized from 3-aminopyridine.     

Structuring of polyacrylonitrile solutions

Mechanisms of orientation for the solutions of polyacrylonitrile synthesized under conditions of radical and anionic polymerization were studied. The effect of the fractal-matrix structuring agent developed by the AIRES foundation on the correlation parameters of the solution density and average squared fluctuation polarizability, which can be used to determine how the supramolecular structure changes by “self-orientation” and “induced orientation” mechanisms, was analyzed.     

Sorption capacity of acetylacetonated humin-like compounds with respect to cations of heavy metals

A method of synthesis of acetylacetonated humin-like compounds was developed. The effect of modification on the sorption capacity of humin-like compounds with respect to heavy metals was studied.     

确定线性偏微分方程组可积系统的对合特征集方法

基于Ritt-Wu特征集方法和Riquier-Janet理论,给出一种将线性微分方程组化成简单标准形式的有效算法．该算法通过消去冗余和添加可积条件获得线性微分方程组的完全可积系统(有形式幂级数解)或不相容判定．该算法不仅适用于常系数的线性偏微分方程组,而且对于变系数(以函数为系数)仍然有效．作者还给出了完全可积系统判定定理及其严格证明．     

Magnetic behavior of core–shell particles

We have prepared composite magnetic core–shell particles using the process of soap-free emulsion polymerization and the co-precipitation method. The shell of the synthesized composite sphere is cobalt ferrite (CoFe₂O₄) nanoparticles and the core consists of poly(styrene-co-methacrylic acid) polymer. The mean crystallite sizes of the coated CoFe₂O₄ nanoparticles were controlled in the range of 2.4–6.7 nm by the concentration of [NH₄⁺] and heated temperature. The magnetic properties of the core–shell spherical particles can go from superparamagnetic to ferromagnetic behavior depending on the crystalline sizes of CoFe₂O₄.
