A polymeric gel was prepared from a bis(3-cyanovinylcarbazole)-based derivative and a thymine-bearing calix[4]arene derivative via photo-cross-linking between 3-cyanovinylcarbazole and thymine groups by irradiation with 365 nm UV light, a novel and facile method to obtain a soft material. Values for storage and loss moduli of the bis(3-cyanovinylcarbazole)-based derivative and the thymine-bearing calix[4]arene derivative gradually increased during photoirradiation. This gel was transformed back to the solution state by decomposition of the polymer network to the monomers via irradiation with 312 nm UV light. 相似文献

An ellipsometric method for measuring second-order cascaded phase shift is experimentally demonstrated in a KNbO(3) single crystal. We analyze the polarization state composed of the two orthogonal polarizations of the transmitted fundamental wave, one of which experiences intensity-dependent depletion and phase shift while the other does not. The chemodosimetric behavior of dichlorofluorescein derivatives toward Hg(2+) ions was investigated. Simple chemodosimetric systems showed selective and efficient signaling behaviors toward micromolar concentrations of Hg(2+) ions over other common interfering metal ions in an aqueous environment. The signaling mechanism is selective mercuration of the 4',5'-position of the xanthene moiety, which results in efficient chromogenic and fluorogenic signaling of Hg(2+) ions in aqueous environment. 相似文献

The tert-butyl alcohol (TBA) is the most hydrophobic of the simple alcohol and by itself does not form a clathrate hydrate with water. A genuine clathrate hydrate is synthesized by exposing a gaseous guest to solid TBA + H2O powders. Here, we examine three consecutive spectroscopic approaches of (1) the occurrence of a "free" OH stretching band (nu(OH)) signal of TBA molecules representing an absence of hydrogen bonding between the host water and guest TBA, (2) a tuning effect for creating fresh cages via the rearrangement of the host-water lattice, and finally (3) the existence of a critical guest concentration (CGC) that appears only when the TBA concentration is dilute. The present findings from this simple three-step approach can be extended to other alcoholic guest species with the specific modifications to provide the new insights into inclusion chemistry. 相似文献

The human organic anion transporter 4 (hOAT4) has been identified as the fourth isoform of OAT family. hOAT4 contributes to move several negatively charged organic compounds between cells and their extracellular milieu. The functional characteristics and regulatory mechanisms of hOAT4 remain to be elucidated. It is well known that caveolin plays a role in modulating proteins having some biological functions. To address this issue, we investigated the co-localization and interaction between hOAT4 and caveolin-1. hOAT4 and caveolin-1 (mRNA and protein expression) were observed in cultured human placental trophoblasts isolated from placenta. The confocal microscopy of immuno-cytochemistry using primary cultured human trophoblasts showed hOAT4 and caveolin-1 were co-localized at the plasma membrane of the cell. This finding was confirmed by Western blot analysis using isolated caveolae-enriched membrane fractions and immune-precipitates from the trophoblasts. When synthesized cRNA of hOAT4 along with scrambled- or antisense-oligodeoxynucleotide (ODN) of Xenopus caveolin-1 were co-injected to Xenopus oocytes, the [3H]estrone sulfate uptake was significantly decreased by the co-injection of antisense ODN but not by scrambled ODN. These findings suggest that hOAT4 and caveolin-1 share a cellular expression in the plasma membrane and caveolin-1 up-regulates the organic anionic compound uptake by hOAT4 under the normal physiological condition. 相似文献

A method is presented to simplify Bragg coherent X‐ray diffraction imaging studies of complex heterogeneous crystalline materials with a two‐stage screening/imaging process that utilizes polychromatic and monochromatic coherent X‐rays and is compatible with in situ sample environments. Coherent white‐beam diffraction is used to identify an individual crystal particle or grain that displays desired properties within a larger population. A three‐dimensional reciprocal‐space map suitable for diffraction imaging is then measured for the Bragg peak of interest using a monochromatic beam energy scan that requires no sample motion, thus simplifying in situ chamber design. This approach was demonstrated with Au nanoparticles and will enable, for example, individual grains in a polycrystalline material of specific orientation to be selected, then imaged in three dimensions while under load. 相似文献

In the present work we investigate various optical properties (such as light absorption and reflectance) of anodic TiO2 nanotube layers directly transferred as self‐standing membranes onto quartz substrates. This allows investigation in a transmission geometry which provides significantly more reliable data than measurements on the metallic Ti substrate. Light transmission and reflectance measurements were carried out for layers of thickness varying from 1.8 to 50 μm, and the layers were investigated in their amorphous and crystalline forms. A series of wavelength‐dependent light attenuation coefficients are extrapolated and found to match the photocurrent versus irradiation wavelength behavior. A feature specific to anodic nanotubes is that their intrinsic carbon contamination content causes a proportional sub‐bandgap response. Overall, the extracted data provide a valuable basis and understanding for the design of photo‐electrochemical devices based on TiO2 nanotubes. 相似文献
