Synthesis and transition temperatures of liquid crystals incorporating a 1,4-tetrafluorophenylene unit

Two homologous series of mesogenic materials which incorporate a 1,4-tetrafluorophenylene moiety and a terminal cyano- or nitro-substituent have been synthesized by using palladiumcatalysed coupling procedures. The compounds exhibit nematic and/or smectic A phases.     

Syntheses,crystal structures and blue emission of three zinc(II) coordination polymers with a 4,4′‐dicarboxybiphenyl sulfone ligand

Three novel zinc complexes [Zn(dbsf)(H₂O)₂] ( 1 ), [Zn(dbsf)(2,2′‐bpy)(H₂O)]·(i‐C₃H₇OH) ( 2 ) and [Zn(dbsf)(DMF)] ( 3 ) (H₂dbsf = 4,4′‐dicarboxybiphenyl sulfone, 2,2′‐bpy = 2,2′‐bipyridine, i‐C₃H₇OH = iso‐propanol, DMF = N,N‐dimethylformamide) were first obtained and characterized by single crystal X‐ray crystallography. Although the results show that all the complexes 1–3 have one‐dimensional chains formed via coordination bonds, unique three‐dimensional supramolecular structures are formed due to different coordination modes and configuration of the dbsf^2? ligand, hydrogen bonds and π–π interactions. Iso‐propanol molecules are in open channels of 2 while larger empty channels are formed in 3 . As compared with emission band of the free H₂dbsf ligand, emission peaks of the complexes 1–3 are red‐shifted, and they show blue emission, which originates from enlarging conjugation upon coordination. Template synthesis in the nickel(II)–thiocarbohydrazide–propanone triple system

The complexing process proceeding in the Ni^II–thiocarbohydrazide (H₂N–H–NC(=S)–NH–NH₂)–propanone triple system in EtOH solution and nickel(II)hexacyanoferrate(II) gelatin-immobilized matrix has been studied. It has been found that in the first case, template synthesis leading, as a minimum, to formation of three coordination compounds of Ni^II with (N,N,S,S)-donor tetradentate ligands having NiL¹, NiL² and NiL³compositions where L¹ is 4,6,6-trimethyl-2,3,7,8-tetraazanonen-3-di(thiohydrazide)-1,9, L² is 4,6,6,12-tetrametyl-1,9-dithio-2,3,7,8,10,11-hexaazatridekadien-3,11-hydrazide-1 and L³ is 2,8,10,10,16-pentamethyl-5,13-dithio-3,4,6,7,11,12,14,15-octaazaheptadekatrien-2,7,15 is observed, whereas in the gelatin-immobilized matrix, a complexing process in the system considered does not occur.     

Calculation of Gurney parameters for aqueous tetraalkylammonium halides based on Friedman's cosphere-overlap model

Recalculations of the Gurney free-energy parameters A_ij based on the cosphereoverlap model of Friedman and co-workers have been made using more recent experimental data. Our procedure for calculation seems to be more systematic than those previously reported. The excess energy, entropy, and volume parameters (E_ij, TS_ij, and V_ij) were also recalculated for some aqueous tetraalkylammonium halides. In addition, the excess-heat-capacity parameters C_ij are also reported here for the first time. These data are discussed briefly in terms of the structural implications.     

离子交换树脂纯化酪蛋白磷酸肽研究

通过单因素实验和正交试验确定了使用D-201型大孔强碱性阴离子交换树脂纯化酪蛋白磷酸肽(CPPs)的操作条件为：洗脱温度40℃、洗脱酸(HCI)浓度0．2mol／L、洗脱速度2．3ml／min、进样浓度2％(w／v)，进一步应用HPSEC技术分析考察了离子交换树脂纯化后含磷洗脱峰分子量分布情况，并计算了产品氮磷比与纯化收率．     

Chemische Vitamin D<Subscript>3</Subscript>-Bestimmung in Lebertran

The different aspects of Vitamin D₃ determination and the data reported in the literature are discussed. The spectrophotometric determination of Vitamin D₃ in cod-liver oil is carried out after the alkaline saponification, extraction of unsaponified parts, precipitation of accompanying sterols and the column- and thin-layer chromatographic purification and separation of vitamin D₃ on 40 cm plates from other vitamins. The dyestuff α-naphtholbenzein is suited well as standard substance for the better location and identification of vitamin D₃ zone on the thin-layer plate. The results obtained from the chemical method were checked through the simultaneous biological determination.

Observation of isomeric states in197Bi

The high spin states of¹¹⁹Te, populated in¹¹⁰Pd(¹³C,4n) and¹¹⁰Pd(¹²C,3n) reactions, have been studied through -ray spectroscopy. The level scheme has been established upto a spin of 55/2. Three-quasiparticle states, based on g² _7/2h_11/2 and g_7/2d_5/2h_11/2 configurations, have been identified. The 35/2 and 39/2 states are suggested to be the fully aligned states constituted by five valence h_11/2 ³, g_7/2, d_5/2 quasiparticles.
