An original, halide-free non-hydrolytic sol–gel route to mesoporous anatase TiO2 with hierarchical porosity and high specific surface area is reported. This route is based on the reaction at 200 °C of titanium(IV) isopropoxide with acetic anhydride, in the absence of a catalyst or solvent. NMR spectroscopic studies indicate that this method provides an efficient, truly non-hydrolytic and aprotic route to TiO2. Formation of the oxide involves successive acetoxylation and condensation reactions, both with ester elimination. The resulting TiO2 materials were nanocrystalline, even before calcination. Small (about 10 nm) anatase nanocrystals spontaneously aggregated to form mesoporous micron-sized particles with high specific surface area (240 m2 g−1 before calcination). Evaluation of the lithium storage performances shows a high reversible specific capacity, particularly for the non-calcined sample with the highest specific surface area favouring pseudo-capacitive storage: 253 mAh g−1 at 0.1 C and 218 mAh g−1 at 1 C (C=336 mA g−1). This sample also shows good cyclability (92 % retention after 200 cycles at 336 mA g−1) with a high coulombic efficiency (99.8 %). Synthesis in the presence of a solvent (toluene or squalane) offers the possibility to tune the morphology and texture of the TiO2 nanomaterials. 相似文献

The slow isothermal crystallization of concentrated amorphous starch systems is measured by Modulated Differential Scanning Calorimetry (MDSC). It can be followed continuously by the evolution (stepwise decrease) of the MDSC heat capacity signal (Cp), as confirmed with data from X-ray diffractometry, Dynamic Mechanical Analysis, Raman spectroscopy, and conventional Differential Scanning Calorimetry. Isothermal MDSC measurements enable a systematic study of the slow crystallization process of a concentrated starch system, such as a pregelatinized waxy corn starch with 24 wt % water and 76 wt % starch. After isothermal crystallization, a broad melting endotherm with a bimodal distribution is observed, starting about 10°C beyond the crystallization temperature. The bulk glass transition temperature (Tg) decreases about 15°C during crystallization. The isothermal crystallization rate goes through a maximum as a function of crystallization time. The maximum rate is characterized by the time at the local extreme in the derivative of Cp (tmax), or by the time to reach half the decrease in Cp (t1/2). Both tmax and t1/2 show a bell-shaped curve as a function of crystallization temperature. The temperature of maximum crystallization rate, for the system studied, lies as high as 75°C. Boron(III) cations are widely used as highly Lewis acidic reagents in synthetic chemistry. In contrast, boron(II) cations are extremely rare and their chemistry almost completely unknown. They are both Lewis acids and electron donors, properties that are commonly associated with catalytically active late‐transition‐metal complexes. This double reactivity pattern ensures a rich and diverse chemistry. Herein we report the facile synthesis of several new boron(II) cations starting with a special diborane with two easily exchangeable triflate substituents. By increasing the π‐acceptor character of the neutral σ‐donor reaction partners, first reactions were developed in which the combined Lewis acidity and electron‐donor properties of boron(II) cations are applied for the reduction of organic molecules. The results of our study pave the way for applications of these unusual compounds in synthetic chemistry. 相似文献

3-Trifluoromethyl-4-nitrophenol (TFM) is a pesticide used for the selective control of sea lampreys (Petromyzon marinus) in stream and river tributaries of the Great Lakes. To determine concentrations of TFM and TFM glucuronide in the edible fillet tissue of fish during sea lamprey control treatments, an analytical method was developed to determine the concentrations of these residues in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss; RBT) and channel catfish (Ictalurus punctatis; CCF). Homogenized fillets were extracted with methanol-water (80 + 20). TFM and TFM glucuronide were isolated from coextractives by C18 solid-phase extraction. TFM glucuronide was hydrolyzed to TFM by the addition of beta-glucuronidase to the TFM glucuronide extract. The extracts were analyzed separately by liquid chromatography with UV-visible detection. Recoveries from TFM-fortified CCF and RBT tissues were 84.1 and 96.1%, respectively. The method detection limits (MDLs) are 2.4 ng/g for TFM-fortified tissues of CCF and 3 ng/g for those of RBT. Recoveries were 78.8 and 77% from TFM glucuronide-fortified CCF and RBT tissues, respectively. The MDLs for TFM glucuronide-fortified tissues are 3.5 and 6.9 ng/g for CCF and RBT, respectively. 相似文献
