Let M be a compact Kähler manifold equipped with a Hamiltonian action of a compact Lie group G. In this paper, we study the geometric quantization of the symplectic quotient M // G. Guillemin and Sternberg [Invent. Math. 67, 515–538 (1982)] have shown, under suitable regularity assumptions, that there is a natural invertible map between the quantum Hilbert space over M //G and the G-invariant subspace of the quantum Hilbert space over M.Reproducing other recent results in the literature, we prove that in general the natural map of Guillemin and Sternberg is not unitary, even to leading order in Planck’s constant. We then modify the quantization procedure by the “metaplectic correction” and show that in this setting there is still a natural invertible map between the Hilbert space over M // G and the G-invariant subspace of the Hilbert space over M. We then prove that this modified Guillemin–Sternberg map is asymptotically unitary to leading order in Planck’s constant. The analysis also shows a good asymptotic relationship between Toeplitz operators on M and on M // G.  相似文献

“Laser-assisted magnetic recording”, in which a recording media is heated by a laser beam while writing data, is attracting attention as a technology that enables a recording density of 1 Tb/in.2. There exists another technology for media in which the recording layer is constructed with many small projections that enable high magnetic coercivity. This is called “patterned media”. For developing hard disk drives using these methods, we developed a simulator that analyzes the optical intensity distribution from the optical head for laser-assisted recording and the temperature profile on the patterned media. The simulator calculates the optical model using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The thermal analysis of the three-dimensional model allows fast calculations using the alternating direction implicit (ADI) method. The heat source distribution data for thermal analysis is calculated in order to use the results of optical analysis. The optical and thermal analyses of the laser-assisted recording model were investigated with the simulator.  相似文献

Plane symmetric viscous fluid cosmological models of the universe with a variable cosmological term are investigated. The viscosity coefficient of bulk viscous fluid is assumed to be a power function of mass density whereas the coefficient of shear viscosity is to be proportional to rate of expansion in the model. We have also obtained a special model in which the shear viscosity is assumed to be zero. The cosmological constant Λ is found to be a decreasing function of time and a positive which is supported by results from recent supernovae Ia observations. Some physical and geometric properties of the models are also discussed.  相似文献

The temperature-frequency dependences of the permittivity of crystals of lithium heptagermanate Li2Ge7O15 doped with Cr3+ ions are investigated. A dielectric response to reorientation of the dipole moments of the chromium impurity centers is revealed. Anomalies of the permittivity are described within the model of a Debye relaxator.  相似文献

We consider random iterated function systems which consist of strictly increasing and (not necessarily strictly) convex functions on a compact interval or on a half line. We assume that the system is contracting on average in a sense which is wide enough to permit the existence of a common fixpoint at which some functions of the system are expanding and perhaps none of them are contracting (see Fig. 1). In this paper, the pulsed injection method is extended to measure the chip temperature of various packaged laser modules, such as the DFB laser modules, the FP laser modules, and the EML laser modules. An optimal injection condition is obtained by investigating the dependence of the lasing wavelength on the width and period of the injection pulse in a relatively wide temperature range. The small-signal frequency responses and large-signal performances of packaged laser modules at different chip temperature are measured. The adiabatic small-signal modulation characteristics of packaged LD are first extracted. In the large-signal measurement, the effects of chip temperature, bias current and driving signal on the performances of the laser modules are discussed. It has been found that the large-signal performances of the EML modules depend on the different red-shift speeds of the DFB and EAM sections as chip temperature varying, and the optimal characteristics may be achieved at higher temperature.  相似文献

The present theory of atom optics is established mainly on the Schr?dinger equations or the matrix mechanics equation. The authors present a new theoretical formulation of atom optics: Feynman’s path integral theory. Its advantage is that one can describe the diffraction and interference of atoms passing through slits (or grating), apertures, and standing wave laser field in Earth’s gravitational field by using a type of wave function and calculation is simple. For this reason, we derive the wave functions of particles in the following configurations: single slit (and slit with the van der Waals interaction), double slit, N slit, rectangular aperture, circular aperture, the Mach-Zehnder-type interferometer, the interferometer with the Raman beams, the Sagnac effect, the Aharonov-Casher effect, the Kapitza-Dirac diffraction effect, and the Aharonov-Bohm effect. The authors give a wave function of the state of particles on the screen in abovementioned configurations. Our formulas show good agreement with present experimental measurements.  相似文献

We investigate a life time broadened and coherently prepared five-state system for multi-wave mixing processes. We show that very efficient wave mixing occurs, producing an unconventional mixing wave that has the characteristics of both conventional four-wave mixing (FWM) and stimulated hyper-Raman (SHR) emission. In addition, we show interesting multiple simultaneous multi-photon interference effects at large propagation distances and demonstrate more than 10 orders of magnitude suppression of populations of the probe wave terminal state and the near three-photon resonance mixing wave generating state. These new type of multi-photon interference based induced transparency effects, which are critically dependent on two distinctive relaxation processes involving both an external supplied and an internally generated fields, are fundamentally different from the conventional three-state electromagnetically induced transparency effect which does not depend on propagation. As a consequence, both the probe and the wave-mixing field to propagate nearly free of absorption and distortions in a highly dispersive medium.  相似文献

Rebuilding of metal components with laser cladding forming   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
Laser cladding forming (LCF) is a novel powerful tool for the repairing of metal components. Rebuilding of V-grooves on medium carbon steel substrates has been carried out with laser cladding forming technique using stainless steel powder as the cladding material. Microstructure of the deposited layers has been characterized using optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray microanalysis (EDAX), electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Mechanical properties of the rebuilt V-groove samples have been evaluated by tensile and impacting tests and microhardness measurement. Experimental results show that good fusion bonding between the rebuilt layers and the substrate has been formed, and the microstructure of the cladding layers is mainly composed of fine, dense and defect-free epitaxial columnar dendrites. Due to the effect of grain size refinement, the tensile strength, impacting toughness, elongation and microhardness of the rebuilt samples have been greatly enhanced compared to those of the substrate. Microhardness is also very uniform throughout the rebuilt regions. With the growth of the deposited layers, the microhardness increases gradually. The good ductility of the deposited regions is verified by the SEM fracture analysis.  相似文献
