Comparative study of spectroscopic properties of Er^3+/Yb^3+-codoped tellurite glass and fibres under 980nm excitation* 下载免费PDF全文
A tellurite fibre of TeO_{2}-ZnO-La_{2}O_{3}-Li_{2}O glass codoped with 20000 ppm ytterbium and 5000 ppm erbium was fabricated by the suction casting and rod-in-tube technologies. The absorption spectrum of Er^{3+}/Yb^{3+} -codoped bulk glass has been measured. From the Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters, the spontaneous emission probability and radiative lifetime τ_{rad} of Er^{3+}:{}^{4}I_{13/2}→{}^{4}I_{15/2} transition for the bulk glass have been calculated. The emission fluorescence spectra and lifetimes around 1.5μm, and subsequent upconversion fluorescence in the range of 500-700nm were measured in fibres and compared with those in bulk glass. The changes in amplified spontaneous emission with fibre length and pumping power was also measured. It was found that the emission spectrum from erbium in fibres is almost twice as broad as the corresponding spectrum in bulk glass when pumped at 980nm. 相似文献

Novel oxyfluoride glasses are developed with the composition of 30SiO2-15Al2O3-28PbF2-22CdF2-0.1TmF3 - xYbF3 - (4.9 - x) AlF3(x=0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0) in tool fraction, Furthermore, the upconversion luminescence characteristics under a 970nm excitation are investigated. Intense blue, red and near infrared luminescences peaked at 453nm, 476nm, 647nm and 789nm, which correspond to the transitions of Tm^3+: ^1D2 →^3F4, ^1G4 →^3H6, ^1G4 →^3F4, and ^3H4 →^3H6, respectively, are observed. Due to the sensitization of Yb^3+ ions, all the upconversion luminescence intensities are enhanced considerably with Yb^3+ concentration increasing. The upconversion mechanisms are discussed based on the energy matching rule and quadratic dependence on excitation power. The results indicate that the dominant mechanism is the excited state absorption for those upconversion emissions. 相似文献

Multi-channel soft x-ray (SX) detectors are applied to generate images of
magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) oscillation on the HT-7 tokamak, and the data
from SX cameras are analysed by using the
Fourier--Bessel harmonic reconstruction method and the singular value
decomposition. The image
reconstruction of SX emissivity is obtained on the assumption of plasma
rigid rotation. One of the important phenomena in the HT-7 discharge is the
transition from the sawtooth oscillations to the MHD oscillations when the
plasma density grows higher. The MHD structure
observed in the SX tomography is featured as follows: the magnetic surface of MHD
structure is made up of the crescent-shaped ``hot core' and the circular
``cold bubble'. The structure of the magnetic surface is relatively stable.
It rotates in the direction of the electron diamagnetic drift at a

Evidence for the long-term optical curve variability and colour behaviour of the BL
Lac object Mkn 421 is presented. Our results show that the amplitude of the optical
variations of Mkn 421 is only about {\Delta} B=4.7 magnitude in the B-band for
its photometric history from 1899 to 2002. The results of optical photometric
monitoring of the Mkn 421 from April 2000 to Jan 2002 are provided. During our
observation, Mkn 421 shows significant rapid variations and exhibits short time
variability of 2.42 hours in the B band. A strong correlation between the B-V
colour index and the magnitude in the B band is found. Our charge coupled device
(CCD) photometry of Mkn 421 shows that the measured results are in good agreement
with the predicted optical variability period of about 23 years. 相似文献

Laser texturing is a novel technique that may be used to texture a cold roller in the process of manufacturing high quality steel sheets. With the aim of improving the quality of the textured roller by using a CO2 laser, a new laser beam modulating device is proposed. An optical beam expander with a fast rotating chopper system is designed. The laser pulse is split into two parts by the chopper blades; one is the preheating pulse that is reflected onto optical loop mirrors; the other is the directly transmitted pulse that creates the craters at the preheated spots. The preheating beam focus spot size and position can be adjusted. The focusing characteristics and optical parameter compensation for the flying optics are investigated. The heat transfer and melt process of laser texturing are numerically simulated. The effects of the double pulses on the texturing are analyzed. The effect of preheating the sample ahead of the laser texturing pulse is examined. The surface profile and bump hardness show improvements by using this approach. 相似文献

Transmission behavior of light through a grating consisting of n-doped semiconductor with subwavelength slits under the application of external static magnetic fields is investigated. As dielectric constant of n-doped semiconductor can be substantially altered by applied magnetic field, in the Voigt configuration and for TM-polarized illumination, two transmission resonance peaks associated with localized waveguide modes of slits are significantly shifted toward the lower frequency regime with the increase of the applied magnetic field. These characteristics can be assigned to a reduction of effective plasma frequency of n-doped semiconductor under the applied magnetic field. ZnO/Si thin films were prepared by rf magnetron sputtering method and some of the samples were treated by rapid thermal annealing (RTA) process at different temperatures ranging from 400 to 800 °C. The effects of RTA treatment on the structural properties were studied by using X-ray diffraction and atomic force microscopy while optical properties were studied by the photoluminescence measurements. It is observed that the ZnO film annealed at 600 °C reveals the strongest UV emission intensity and narrowest full width at half maximum among the temperature ranges studied. The enhanced UV emission from the film annealed at 600 °C is attributed to the improved crystalline quality of ZnO film due to the effective relaxation of residual compressive stress and achieving maximum grain size. 相似文献
