The complexation of zinc(II) with dopamine has been investigated by spectrophotometric measurements in mixed solvent system at an ionic strength of 0.2 mol•dm-3 sodium chloride, employed at at (15±0.1), (25±0.1), (35±0.1) ℃ at inin a pH range of ca. 6 to ca. 7 with a high ratio of ligand to metal. The effect of solvent systems on protonation and complexation are was was discussed. Linear relationships are werewere observed by plotting lg K versus 1/D, where K and D show stability and dielectric constants, respectively.  相似文献

Novel ferroelectric liquid crystalline compounds, containing the (S)-2-methyl-l -butyl (4-hydroxybiphenyl-4'-carbonyloxy)biphenyl-4-carboxylate mesogenic group and an oligooxyethylene spacer, were synthesized. The mesomorphic properties of these materials were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), optical polarizing microscopy (POM) and powder X-ray diffraction measurement. The results indicate that all members of this series exhibit a very broad temperature mesophase range (reaching a maximum around 210°C) including a blue phase (BP), cholesteric (Ch), twist grain boundary A (TGBA), chiral smectic C (S*c), and smectic X (Sx) phases. The mesomorphic properties are discussed and a comparison is made with three phenyl rings of ester core analogues.  相似文献

Phosphorus‐containing epoxy‐based epoxy–silica hybrid materials with a nanostructure were obtained from bis(3‐glycidyloxy)phenylphosphine oxide, diaminodiphenylmethane, and tetraethoxysilane in the presence of the catalyst p‐toluenesulfonic acid via an in situ sol–gel process. The silica formed on a nanometer scale in the epoxy resin was characterized with Fourier transform infrared, NMR, and scanning electron microscopy. The glass‐transition temperatures of the hybrid epoxy resins increased with the silica content. The nanometer‐scale silica showed an enhancement effect of improving the flame‐retardant properties of the epoxy resins. The phosphorus–silica synergistic effect on the limited oxygen index (LOI) enhancement was also observed with a high LOI value of 44.5. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The reactions of silver ion complexes with polyethylene-graft-poly(acrylic acid) (PE-g-AA) and the olefin reversible coordinates with the PE-g-AA–Ag+ complex membranes were studied. Infrared and nuclear magnetic resonance spectra confirmed the complex formation between the carboxylic acid of the PE-g-AA and the Ag+ ion. Also, the Ag+ ion in PE-g-AA-Ag+ membrane was assumed to be a fixed carrier that adsorbs and transports olefin, thereby causing a selective olefin/paraffin separation. A theoretical model of the PE-g-AA-Ag+ (olefin) complex was proposed. The coordination number of Ag+ ion binding to the carboxylic acid of PE-g-AA is about 1.6 in glycerol solution. The coordination number of olefin binding to the Ag+ in the PE-g-AA–Ag+ complex membrane is 1. Moreover, the kinetics of olefin binding to the PE-g-AA–Ag+ complex membranes were studied. In this paper, the effects of a magnetic field on natural convection flow in filled long enclosures with Cu/water nanofluid have been analyzed by lattice Boltzmann method. This study has been carried out for the pertinent parameters in the following ranges: the Rayleigh number of base fluid, Ra = 103–105, the volumetric fraction of nanoparticles between 0 and 6 %, the aspect ratio of the enclosure between A = 0.5 and 2. The Hartmann number has been varied from Ha = 0 to 90 with interval 30 while the magnetic field is considered at inclination angles of θ = 0°, 30°, 60° and 90°. Results show that the heat transfer decreases by the increment of Hartmann number for various Rayleigh numbers and the aspect ratios. Heat transfer decreases with the growth of the aspect ratio but this growth causes the effect of the nanoparticles to increase. The magnetic field augments the effect of the nanoparticles at high Rayleigh numbers (Ra = 105). The effect of the nanoparticles rises for high Hartmann numbers when the aspect ratio increases. The rise in the magnetic field inclination improves heat transfer at aspect ratio of A = 0.5.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of nine new side chain liquid-crystalline polysiloxanes containing one cyclohexyl ring and another 2-4 aromatic rings in their mesogenic side groups are described. All synthesized polymers displayed nematic mesomorphism. Most of the polymers showed a very wide mesomorphic temperature range. The mesogenic core length has profound influence on the phase transitions of the polymers. The mesomorphic temperature range increased with increasing mesogenic core length.  相似文献

The epoxidation of styrene–butadiene–styrene triblock copolymer (SBS) by an in situ generated peracid method is discussed. The presence of an acid acting as catalyst led to side reaction. The reactivities of internal double bonds (the 1, 4-structure) were higher than those of the vinyl bonds (the 1, 2-structure). In the 1, 4-structure, the reactivities of cis-structure were higher than those of trans-structure. The oxirane weight content and total oxygen weight content were determined by titration and element analysis, respectively. The cohesive energy, solubility parameter, and the glass transition temperature of epoxidized SBS increased with increasing total oxygen weight content. But the molecular weight between crosslinking points decreased resulting in an increase of crosslinking density with increasing total oxygen weight content. The changes of properties of epoxidized SBS reduced the gas permeability of oxygen and nitrogen through epoxidized SBS membrane, but increased the gas selectivity between oxygen and nitrogen. When the operating temperature of gas permeation was increased, the permeability of oxygen and nitrogen increased but the selectivity decreased. For epoxidized SBS containing 7.35 wt % oxygen content, the activation energy was 9 and 12.2 kcal/mol for oxygen and nitrogen, respectively.  相似文献

The synthesis of side-chain liquid crystalline polysiloxanes containing oligooxyethylene spacers and 4-methoxyphenyl benzyl ether and 6-cyano-2-naphthyl benzyl ether based mesogenic groups is presented. The phase behavior of both monomeric and polymeric liquid crystals was characterized by differential scanning calorimetry and optical polarized microscopy. All synthesized polysiloxanes present smectic mesomorphism. The insertion of oxygen atoms into the flexible aliphatic spacers leads to decrease in both glass transition and isotropization temperatures of the resulting side-chain liquid crystalline polymers.  相似文献
