By making use of the theoretical framework presented by Bostroem(K.J.Bostroem,LANL quant-ph/0009052),we generalize the standard quantum information theory of block messages with fixed block length to the variable one.We show that the states belonging to a sufficiently large hilbert space are the highly distinguishable states.We also consider the collection states (product states of more than one qubit state) and seek a “pretty good measurement” (PGM) with measurement vectors to improve the mutual information.The average mutual information over random block-message ensembles with variable block length n is discussed in detail. 相似文献

The coexistence of TE-TM surface waves in uniaxially anisotropic left-handed materials 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
We investigate theoretically the characteristics of surface waves in uniaxially anisotropic left-handed materials. The constraints for the existence of TE and TM polarized surface waves in uniaxially anisotropic left-handed materials are identified. We discuss mainly whether TE and TM polarized surface modes may coexist in the same frequency domain at the interface between one isotropic regular medium and another uniaxially anisotropic left-handed medium. It is shown that the answer to the coexistence of TE and TM surface modes is really positive. The Poynting vector and the density of energy associated with surface modes are calculated. Depending on the system parameters either TE or TM surface modes has the time averaged Poynting vector directed opposite or same to the mode phase velocity. In the presence of anisotropy, negative refraction does not need to be left-handed. We show that the characteristics of surface waves in uniaxially anisotropic left-handed media are significantly different from that in isotropic left-handed media. 相似文献

The enlargement of the emitting aperture is usually one of the important methods of increasing vertical- cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) optical output power. However, in a VCSEL with a larger aperture, the inhomogeneity in the injected current often causes inhomogeneous or even no emission. To solve this problem and to increase VCSEL output power, as well as to improve its thermal characteristics, we develop a new type of injected VCSEL with a larger aperture and a reticular electrode, where the conventional circular injection electrode of the P side is turned into a reticular one, and the heat sink is on the N side. The tests of the new VCSEL show an improvement in homogeneity in not only the injected current but also the emission intensity. The optical output power is also considerably increased, and the device optoelectronic performance is improved. 相似文献

Introducing the top partner is a common way to cancel the largest quadratically divergent contribution to the Higgs mass induced by the top quark. In this work, we study single top partner production in the tZ channel at eγ collision in the littlest Higgs model with T-parity(LHT). Since it is well known that polarized beams can enhance the cross section, we analyze the signal via polarized electron beams,and photon beams. we have selected two decay modes for comparison, based on the leptonic or the hadronic decays of the W and Z from the top partner. We then construct a detailed detector simulation, and choose a set of cuts to enhance signal significance. For mode A(B), the capacity for exclusion in this process at s~(1/2)=3TeV is comparable to the current experimental limits with L=1000(500) fb~(-1). If the integrated luminosity can be increased to 3000 fb~(-1), the top partner mass+mTcan be excluded up to 1350(1440) GeV at 2σ level. We also considered the initial state radiation effect, and find that this effect reduces the excluding ability of the eγ collision on the the top partner mass by approximately 10 GeV. Moreover, the ability to exclude the LHT parameter space at eγ collision complements the existing research. 相似文献

Colloidal quantum dots (QDs) have unique optical and electrical properties with promising applications in next-generation semiconductor technologies, including displays, lighting, solar cells, photodetectors, and image sensors. Advanced analytical tools to probe the optical, morphological, structural, compositional, and electrical properties of QDs and their ensemble solid films are of paramount importance for the understanding of their device performance. In this review, comprehensive studies on the state-of-the-art metrology approaches used in QD research are introduced, with particular focus on time-resolved (TR) and spatially resolved (SR) spectroscopy and microscopy. Through discussing these analysis techniques in different QD system, such as various compositions, sizes, and shell structures, the critical roles of these TR-spectroscopic and SR-microscopic techniques are highlighted, which provide the structural, morphological, compositional, optical, and electrical information to precisely design QDs and QD solid films. The employment of TR and SR analysis in integrated QD device systems is also discussed, which can offer detailed microstructural information for achieving high performance in specific applications. In the end, the current limitations of these analytical tools are discussed, and the future development of the possibility of interdisciplinary research in both QD fundamental and applied fields is prospected. 相似文献

With the three-dimensional symmetry and wide potential application, spherical array signal processing has been a hot research area for years. This paper devotes to the direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation of the spherical arrays. Based on the orthogonality of the sensors’ location, MUSIC algorithm in spherical space is proposed, named as SH-MUSIC. Similar to beamspace MUSIC, spherical harmonics transformation is operated before MUSIC algorithm and a better performance is gotten because SH-MUSIC utilizes the array configuration’s orthogonality. On account of the transformation matrix’s orthogonality, spherical harmonics transformation is suggested to be operated firstly in other improved MUSIC algorithms without rejection, and it is demonstrated in beamspace MUSIC. In addition, owing to the tiny error between the steering vectors and the spherical harmonics with high order, sphere array data models including open sphere and rigid sphere are constructed. Simulation proves SH-MUSIC to be effective. Moreover, experimental data from a rigid sphere microphone array is dealt with by SH-MUSIC and the DOAs are estimated accurately. 相似文献

The effect of applied dc bias electric field on dielectric permittivity in bulk Y2NiMnO6 is investigated in this paper. It is found that a small bias field of 40 V/cm can greatly reduce the dielectric permittivity
around the room temperature, compared to the much larger electric field that is required for conventional ferroelectric materials.
The observed giant dielectric tunability is retained over a broad range of around room temperature and is most likely related
to the charge ordering of Ni2+ and Mn4+ ions. This may further confirm the existence of electronic ferroelectricity in Y2NiMnO6. 相似文献
