On the maximum modulus of complete trigonometric sums

LetQ _k (p) be a set consisting of all polynomials of degreek with integral coefficientsf(x)=a _k x ^k +...+a ₁ x, wherep×a _k . For givenk andp any polynomialf _k,p (x)εQ _k (p) satisfying ‖S(p, f _k,p )‖=sup ‖S(p, f)‖fεQ(p) is called a maximum modular polynomial inQ _k (p), where $$S(p,f) = \sum\limits_{x = 0}^{p - 1} {e^{2\pi if(x)/p} } $$ Moreover, we definec(k, p)=‖S(p, f _k.p (x))‖. The main results are the following theorems.

1. For k=p?1 and p≥3 we have $$c(k,p) = \sqrt {p^2 - 4(p - 1)\sin ^2 \frac{\pi }{p}} $$ Besides, we may take \(f_{k,p} (x) = \prod\limits_{r = 0}^{p - 2} {(x - r)} \)
2. For k=p?s, 2≤s≤(p+1)/2 and p≥5, we have $$c(k,p) \leqslant p - 4(s - 1)\sin ^2 \frac{\pi }{p}$$ .

In Theorems 3 and 4, an interesting connextion between the present question and the famous problem of Prouhet and Tarry is given, some conditions under which the sign of equality in Theorem 2 holds are given and a method used to construct a maximum modular polynomial inQ _k (p) is also given.     

A new C21-steroidal glycoside from Cynanchum stauntonii

A new C21-steroidal glycoside with two known compounds were isolated from the root of Cynanchum Stauntonii.Based on thespectral analysis,including MS,1H NMR,13C NMR,DEPT,1H-1H COSY,13C-1H COSY,HMQC and HMBC,their chemicalstructures were determinated as glaucogenin-C 3-O-a-L-cymaropyranosyl-(1→4)-b-D-digitoxopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-D-canaropyranoside(1),stigmasterol(2)and ursolic acid(3).     

A novel trilinear decomposition algorithm： Three-dimension non-negative matrix factorization

Non-negative matrix factorization(NMF)is a technique for dimensionality reduction by placing non-negativity constraints onthe matrix.Based on the PARAFAC model,NMF was extended for three-dimension data decomposition.The three-dimension non-negative matrix factorization(NMF3)algorithm,which was concise and easy to implement,was given in this paper.The NMF3algorithm implementation was based on elements but not on vectors.It could decompose a data array directly without unfolding,which was not similar to that the traditional algorithms do.It has been applied to the simulated data array decomposition andobtained reasonable results.It showed that NMF3 could be introduced for curve resolution in chemometrics.     

Liposomes as signal amplification reagents for bioassays in microfluidic channels

Liposomes with encapsulated carboxyfluorescein were used in an affinity-based assay to provide signal amplification for small-volume fluorescence measurements. Microfluidic channels were fabricated by imprinting in a plastic substrate material, poly(ethylene terephthalate glycol) (PETG), using a silicon template imprinting tool. Streptavidin was linked to the surface through biotinylated-protein for effective immobilization with minimal nonspecific adsorption of the liposome reagent. Lipids derivatized with biotin were incorporated into the liposome membrane to make the liposomes reactive for affinity assays. Specific binding of the liposomes to microchannel walls, dependence of binding on incubation time, and nonspecific adsorption of the liposome reagent were evaluated. The results of a competitive assay employing liposomes in the microchannels are presented.     

IMPROVED PROPERTIES OF METALLOCENE-CATALYZED LINEAR LOW-DENSITY POLYETHYLENE/POLYPROPYLENE BLENDS DURING ULTRASONIC EXTRUSION

Metallocene-catalyzed linear low-density polyethylene/polypropylene （mLLDPE/PP） blends were prepared by ultrasonic extrusion in this work. Their extrusion processing behaviors were estimated by online measured data, such as the die pressure and flow rate. Crystallization and mechanical properties of the blends were also investigated. The results show that the addition of PP improves the processing behaviors of mLLDPE, but has little effect on its mechanical properties. On the other hand, the addition of mLLDPE improves the impact strength of PP, but has little effect on its processing behavior. The processing behaviors and mechanical properties of mLLDPE/PP blends get further improved due to the presence of ultrasonic oscillation during extrusion. Compared with PP-rich blends, the apparent viscosity drop of mLLDPE-rich blends is more sensitive to ultrasonic oscillation. The ultrasonic oscillation affects the crystal nucleation, while barely the other crystalline behaviors of the blends.     

ADENOSINE-MEDIATED PHOTOREACTION OF 4,5',8-TRIMETHYLPSORALEN WITH ALCOHOLS

Abstract— Irradiation of thin films consisting of 4,5',8-trimethylpsoralen (TMP), adenosine and small amounts of alcohols led to TMP-alcohol photoadducts in addition to TMP-adenosine photoadducts. Four TMP-ethanol and two TMP-methanol adducts have been separated and characterized. Covalent bonds were formed between the 4-carbon of TMP and the α-carbon to the hydroxy group in the alcohols. The TMP-alcohol photoadducts were formed only in the TMP film containing small amounts of alcohol and adenosine. Furthermore, no photoadduct of TMP and ribose was detected upon photolysis of a TMP-ribose film, suggesting that the adenine moiety plays a specific role in the reaction. The interaction of adenosine with psoralens in a dry film may be related to the DNA sequence selectivity observed for the photoreaction of psoralens with DNA.     

一种利用质谱信息进行结构特征鉴定的模式识别方法

本文提出了分段式离子系列谱编码方法,实验证明具有很好的结构表征能力。本程序主要是以模式识别技术为基础,实现了对未知物谱图的KNN分类,进而得到未知物的主要结构特征。这个程序应用于有机化合物的分类,取得了满意的结果。
