Generating functions of multi-symplectic RK methods via DW Hamilton–Jacobi equations

The De Donder–Weyl (DW) Hamilton–Jacobi equation is investigated in this paper, and the connection between the DW Hamilton–Jacobi equation and multi-symplectic Hamiltonian system is established. Based on the DW Hamilton–Jacobi theory, generating functions for multi-symplectic Runge–Kutta (RK) methods and partitioned Runge–Kutta (PRK) methods are presented. Schauder estimates for higher-order parabolic systems with time irregular coefficients

We prove Schauder estimates for solutions to both divergence and non-divergence type higher-order parabolic systems in the whole space and a half space. We also provide an existence result for the divergence type systems in a cylindrical domain. All coefficients are assumed to be only measurable in the time variable and Hölder continuous in the spatial variables.     

Periodic solutions in non autonomous predator prey system with delays

In this paper, we consider a biological model for two predators and one prey with periodic delays. By assuming that one predator consumes prey according to Holling II functional response while the other predator consumes prey according to the Beddington–DeAngelis functional response, based on the coincidence degree theory, the existence of positive periodic solutions for this model is obtained under suitable conditions.

Process Development for the Detoxification of Fermentation Inhibitors from Acid Pretreated Microalgae Hydrolysate

The aim of this study was to remove 5-hydroxymethyl furfural (5-HMF) and furfural, known as fermentation inhibitors, in acid pretreated hydrolysates (APH) obtained from Scenedesmus obliquus using activated carbon. Microwave-assisted pretreatment was used to produce APH containing glucose, xylose, and fermentation inhibitors (5-HMF, furfural). The response surface methodology was applied to optimize key detoxification variables such as temperature (16.5–58.5 °C), time (0.5–5.5 h), and solid–liquid (S-L) ratio of activated carbon (0.6–7.4 w/v%). Three variables showed significant effects on the removal of fermentation inhibitors. The optimum detoxification conditions with the maximum removal of fermentation inhibitors and the minimum loss of sugars (glucose and xylose) were as follows: temperature of 36.6 °C, extraction time of 3.86 h, and S-L ratio of 3.3 w/v%. Under these conditions, removal of 5-HMF, furfural, and sugars were 71.6, 83.1, and 2.44%, respectively, which agreed closely with the predicted values. When the APH and detoxified APH were used for ethanol fermentation by S. cerevisiae, the ethanol produced was 38.5% and 84.5% of the theoretical yields, respectively, which confirmed that detoxification using activated carbon was effective in removing fermentation inhibitors and increasing fermentation yield without significant removal of fermentable sugars.

An Aluminophosphate Molecular Sieve with 36 Crystallographically Distinct Tetrahedral Sites

The structure of the new medium‐pore aluminophosphate molecular sieve PST‐6 is determined by the combined use of rotation electron diffraction tomography, synchrotron X‐ray powder diffraction, and computer modeling. PST‐6 was prepared by calcination of another new aluminophosphate material with an unknown structure synthesized using diethylamine as a structure‐directing agent, which is thought to contain bridging hydroxy groups. PST‐6 has 36 crystallographically distinct tetrahedral sites in the asymmetric unit and is thus crystallographically the most complex zeolitic structure ever solved.     

相转移催化合成硫氰酸铵

PVTx measurements in the gas phase for binary mixtures of HFC-161 and HFC-227ea

The gaseous PVTx properties of ethyl fluoride (HFC-161) + 1,1,1,2,3,3,3-heptafluoropropane (HFC-227ea) mixtures were measured at temperatures from 318.180 to 403.205 K and corresponding pressures from 961.3 to 3129.8 kPa using the isochoric method. The uncertainties in the present measurements were estimated to be ±1.5 kPa for pressure and ±6 mK for temperature. On the basis of the experimental PVTx property data, a truncated virial equation of state was developed for the binary HFC-161/227ea system. This equation reproduced the experimental data in the gas phase within ±0.164% in pressure and within ±0.178% in density.
