Ablation of GaN Using a Femtosecond Laser

We study the pulsed laser ablation of wurtzite gallium nitride(GaN) films grown on sapphire,using the femtosecond laser beam at a central wavelength of 800nm as the source for the high-speed ablation of GaN films.By measuring the backscattered Raman spectrum of ablated samples,the dependence of the ablation depth on laser fluence with one pulse was obtained.The threwshold laser fluence for the ablation of GaN films was determined to be about 0.25J/cm^2,Laser ablation depth increases with the increasing laser fluence until the amount of removed material is not further increased.The ablated surface was investigated by an optical surface interference profile meter.     

Entanglement Preserving in Quantum Copying of Three－Qubit Entangled State

We study the degree to which quantum entanglement survives when a three-qubit entangled state is copied by using local and non-local processes,respectively,and investigate iterating quantum copying for the three-qubit system.There may exist inter-three-qubit entanglement and inter-two-qubit entanglement for the three-qubit system.We show that both local and non-local copying processes degrade quantum entanglement in the three-particle system due to a residual correlation between the copied output and the copying machine.we also show that the inter-two-qubit entanglement is preserved better than the inter-three-qubit entanglement in the local cloning process.We find that non-local cloning is much more efficient than the local copying for broadcasting entanglement,and output state via non-local cloning exhiits the fidelity better than local cloning.

A Study of Protein and Glycoprotein Syntheses in Pre-implantation Mouse Embryos Using Mini-2D-Electrophoresis, Video Densitometer Scanning and Computer-Image Analysis

In the present study, proteins and glycoproteins of mouse embryos at 2-cell,morula and blastocyst stages were analyzed.The techniques of ~(35)S-Met incorporation,ConA antiserum-precipitating ConA-binding proteins, mini-2D-electrophoresis, fluorography,video densitometer scanning and the computer-lmage system were used for analyses.Results of the investigations indicated that proteins and glycoproteins were synthesized by the embryos in a gradual increase manner from 2-cell to blastocyst. A relatively large amount of glycoproteins was synthesized during the morula and blastocyst stages.Two specific small glycoproteins respectively with molecular weights about 6500 and 9000 and PIs at 5.0 and 6.5 were apparently synthesized in the blastocyst but not in the 2-cell or the morula.     

Study on the Baryon State X Produced in the Process J／ψ→p＋X,X→p＋P

The decay process J/ψ→p X X→p P，where p,p and P are the proton,antiproton and pseudoscalar states,respectively,has been studied in terms of the angular distribution and the generalized moment analysis methods.The result shows that we can identify the spin,but cannot determine the parity of the baryon resonance state X produced in the process J/ψ→p X X→p P.     

Exciton—Phonon Scattering in CdSe／ZnSe Quantum Dots

A temperature-dependent photoluminescence measurement is performed in CdSe/ZnSe quantum dots with a ZnCdSe quantum well.We deduce the temperature dependence of the exciton linewidth and peak energy of the zero-dimensional exciton in the quantum dots and two-dimensional exciton in the CdSe wetting layer.The experimental data reveal a reduction of homogeneous broadening of the exciton line in the quantum dots in comparison with that in the two-dimensional wetting layer,which indicates the decrease of exciton and optical phonon coupling in the CdSe quantum dots.     

Influences of Thalliation on the Morphology and Critical Temperature of Tl2Ba2CaCu2O8 Thin Films

Tl2Ba2CaCu2Ox(Tl-2212) thin films were prepared by the two-step technique.A precursor film was first prepared by the pulsed laser deposition method,and then experienced the incorporation of thalliation in a one-step or two-step annealing process.The experimental results show that the two-step annealing process produces dense and smooth films,and that the one-step annealing process produces a high critical temperature film of 101K,but the transition width is wide.Precursor films with homogeneous Ba2Ca1.3Cu2.1Ox composition are essential for producing high-quality Tl-2212 films.     

Identical Superdeformed Bands in ^171Ta and ^173Re

The rotational band built on the i13/2 proton [660,1/2] Nilsson state in ^173Re is proven to be identical to that in ^171Ta.The close similarity of the two bands in ^171Ta and ^173Re suggests that the ^173Re nucleus with the odd proton based on the i13/2 [660,1/2] Nilsson state may be triaxially superdeformed.     

Equation of State of Dense Liquid Nitrogen in the Region of the Dissociative Phase Transition

We have measured the equation of state for liquid nitrogen compressed dynamically to a pressure of 10-60 GPa by employing a two-stage light-gas gun.The data show a continuous phase transition above the shock pressure of 33GPa,as indicated previously by shock wave experiments.A theoretical model has been derived to examine the experimental data by inducing a molecular dissociative fraction.According to theoretical and experimental date the phase transition was thought to be a molecular dissociative phase transition.     

Hydrogenation Properties of Zr Films Under Various Conditions of Hydrogen Plasma

The hydrogenation properties of Zr samples with and without an Ni overlayer under various plasma conditions were investigated by means of non-Rutherford backscattering and elastic recoil detection analysis.The theoretical maximum hydrogen capacity,66.7 at%,could be achieved at a hydrogen absolute pressure of-2Pa and a substrate temperature of-393K for a plasma irradiation of only 10min;this was significantly greater than that for gas hydrogenation under the same hydrogen pressure and substrate temperature.It was also found that the C and O contamination on the sample surface strongly influences the hydrogenation,and that the maximum equilibrium hydrogen content drops dramatically with the increasing total contamination.In addition,the influence of the Ni overlayer on the plasma hydrogenation is discussed.
