The heat capacity of polycrystalline Fe[S2CN(C2H5)2]2Cl has been measured in the temperature range from 0.411 to 19.55 K. The transition between ferromagnetic and paramagnetic states is characterized by a sharp λ-type anomaly centered at the Curie temperature, Tc = 2.412 ± 0.008 K. The enthalpy and the entropy of transition are 40.475 J mol?1 and 11.199 J K?1mol?1 (= 1.347 R), respectively. The transition entropy is only 2.81% smaller than R In 4. This fact ascertains that the spin manifold is really a quartet. The ground spin states of the present compound are characterized by a zero-field splitting of the S = 32 state into two Kramers' doublets. The overlapping non-cooperative Schottky-type anomaly due to the energy separation between the two Kramers' doublets is separated tentatively from the cooperative heat capacity due to the exchange interaction. Based on a careful analysis of the transition entropy it may be concluded that the magnetic structure of the present complex would be a two-dimensional triangular Ising lattice. The exchange and the Curie-Weiss constants are also determined to be 0.155 and 4.19 K, respectively.  相似文献

An approximate closed expression for the excluded volume effect of linear polymer molecules is developed with the aid of a uniform expansion model of perturbed chains. The linear expansion factor α for the end-to-end distance is given by (α3 ? 1) + (3/8) (α5 ? α3) = (5/2)z where z is the excluded volume parameter. This equation is numerically close to the Ptitsyn equation in the ordinary range of α; i.e., for 1 ≤ α ≤ 2.  相似文献

Positron lifetimes in porous Vycor glass have been measured. There are four lifetime components, and the fourth component has been assigned too-Ps annihilation in large pores of radius 34 Å. The intensityI 4 has been correlated to a specific surface area, but the value obtained fromI 4 by the Monte Carlo method is smaller than that obtained by the BET method. From variations in (τ4,I 4) against the kinetics of adsorption of water vapor, a rough picture of water adsorption is presented.  相似文献

Aq-difference analogue of the universal enveloping algebra U(g) of a simple Lie algebra g is introduced. Its structure and representations are studied in the simplest case g=sl(2). The HNN bending fundamental ν3 of HNNN, and a-type band, was measured by a tunable diode laser with Doppler limited resolution. The Stark modulation technique was used to confirm the assignment. The assignment of Q branches was revised, and the origins, effective B and D values for each subband, were determined accurately. The K dependence of these subband origin parameters, B and D, was found quite anomalous. Possible interactions are discussed.  相似文献

The heat capacity of the cubic mesogen ACBC(16) was measured between 16 and 500?K by adiabatic calorimetry. As well as the known condensed phases, a new crystalline phase was found to undergo a glass transition at around 165?K. Phase transitions between crystal, SmC, cubic, and isotropic liquid phases took place at 399.16, 431.15, and 474.30?K, respectively. As in the case of ANBC, a broad hump was observed in the heat capacity of the isotropic liquid phase. The first order nature of the SmC–cubic phase transition was confirmed for the first time by the observation of supercooling of the cubic phase. The broad hump in the isotropic liquid phase was shown to extend to a low temperature side if the isotropic liquid was supercooled, suggesting that the event occurring at the hump is not directly related to the cubic–isotropic liquid phase transition.  相似文献

American reports on Affect Control Theory have consistently demonstrated few gender differences for both lexical semantic meanings and the equations that predict impression formation. This study replicates the conventional methods used in Affect Control Theory research within a Japanese setting to test for such differences. Our analysis suggests great gender‐differentiation in Japanese status, power, and activity. Japanese culture is much more highly gender‐differentiated than American culture in both fundamental sentiments and predictors of transient changes in sentiments. Our analysis confirms the wisdom of using separate gender‐differentiated lexicons of semantic meaning, and separate equations for predicting changes in transient changes in Japanese sentiments. The analysis is consistent with the hypothesis that these cultural and gender differences come from cultural constructions of principles of impression formation rather than dispositional differences.  相似文献

We construct a family of intertwining operators (screening operators) between various Fock space modules over the deformed W n algebra. They are given as integrals involving a product of screening currents and elliptic theta functions. We derive a set of quadratic relations among the screening operators, and use them to construct a Felder-type complex in the case of the deformed W 3 algebra.
