In this paper, the dependence of the absorbed power on the temperature in an end-pumped CW quasi-three-level Yb:YAG thin disk laser is calculated. Here, we have used the temperature-dependent form of the Boltzmann occupation factors, absorption cross-section and thermal conductivity of the Yb:YAG crystal. A Monte Carlo ray tracing code and a 2D finite element analysis (FEA) with the ANSYS package have been used to calculate the absorbed power and the temperature distribution inside the Yb:YAG thin disk laser, respectively. According to the model, the temperature-dependent absorbed power turns out to be 18% less than the temperature-independent absorbed power in the top center of the Yb:YAG thin disk laser for used parameters. 相似文献

The reaction of dithiocarbamate salts ( IV a − c ) with bis(naphthalene chloroacetates) ( II a,b ) and bis(naphthalene ethoxybromide) ( II c ) in dimethylformamide (DMF) furnished corresponding podands as V a − i in high to excellent yields. Three reacting ligands, ( II a,b ) and ( II c ), were obtained in the reaction of bis(naphthalene) ( I a,b ) with chloroacetylchloride and 1,2‐dibromoethane. Dynamic NMR spectroscopic data of three series of podands ( V a − c , V d−f , and V g − i ) are discussed, and their free energy of activation (Δ GC≠) at coalescence temperatures are figured out. The Δ GC≠ s of these podands were attributed to conformational isomerization in the range of 14.5–18.3 kcal mol−1 due to rotation and resonance effects about thioamide C N bond. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were performed to investigate stabilities and properties for uracil (U)-functionalized carbon nanotubes (CNTs). To this aim, the optimized molecular properties were evaluated for (n, 0) models of CNTs (n = 3–16) in the original and U-functionalized forms. The results indicated that the dipole moments and energy gaps were independent of tubular diameters whereas the binding energies showed that the U-functionalization could be better achieved for n = 8–11 curvatures of (n, 0) CNTs. Further studies based on the evaluated atomic-scale properties, including quadrupole coupling constants (C Q ), indicated that the electronic properties of atoms could detect the effects of diameters variations of (n, 0) CNTs, in which the effects were very much significant for the atoms around the U-functionalization regions. Finally, the achieved results of singular U, original CNTs, and CNT-U hybrids were compared to each other to demonstrate the stabilities and properties for the U-functionalized (n, 0) CNTs. 相似文献

Some new technologies such as Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) is suggested to solve the physical limits of the Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) technology. The QCA as one of the novel technologies at nanoscale has potential applications in future computers. This technology has some advantages such as minimal size, high speed, low latency, and low power consumption. As a result, it is used for creating all varieties of memory. Counter circuits as one of the important circuits in the digital systems are composed of some latches, which are connected to each other in series and actually they count input pulses in the circuit. On the other hand, the reversible computations are very important because of their ability in reducing energy in nanometer circuits. Improving the energy efficiency, increasing the speed of nanometer circuits, increasing the portability of system, making smaller components of the circuit in a nuclear size and reducing the power consumption are considered as the usage of reversible logic. Therefore, this paper aims to design a two-bit reversible counter that is optimized on the basis of QCA using an improved reversible gate. The proposed reversible structure of 2-bit counter can be increased to 3-bit, 4-bit and more. The advantages of the proposed design have been shown using QCADesigner in terms of the delay in comparison with previous circuits. 相似文献

Fusion Energy and Stopping Power in a Degenerate DT Pellet Driven by a Laser-Accelerated Proton Beam
In this paper, we have improved the fast ignition scheme in order to have more authority needed for high-energy-gain. Due to the more penetrability and energy deposition of the particle beams in fusion targets, we employ a laser-to-ion converter foil as a scheme for generating energetic ion beams to ignite the fusion fuel. We find the favorable intensity and wavelength of incident laser by evaluating the laser-proton conversion gain. By calculating the source-target distance, proton beam power and energy are estimated. Our analysis is generalized to the plasma degeneracy effects which can increase the fusion gain several orders of magnitude by decreasing the ion-electron collisions in the plasma. It is found that the wavelength of 0.53 μm and the intensity of about 1020 W/cm2, by saving about 10% conversion coefficient, are the suitable measured values for converting a laser into protons. Besides, stopping power and fusion burn calculations have been done in degenerate and non-degenerate plasma mediums. The results indicate that in the presence of degeneracy, the rate of fusion enhances. 相似文献

This paper proposes a design for all-optical NOR logic gate, based on Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) using quantum-dot semiconductor optical amplifier (QD-SOA). In this regard, a theoretical model for an ultrafast all-optical signal processor is developed using QD-SOA to achieve high bit rate operation. We have demonstrated the NOR gate operation in two cases of with and without an optical control pulse. Simulations have been carried out at data bit rates 160 Gb/s, 200 Gb/s, and 250 Gb/s for the case that control pulse is not applied, and also at data bit rates 1 Tb/s and 2 Tb/s in presence of control pulse which leads to improvement of gain recovery time and ultrafast NOR logic operation. In addition, quality factors of the output signals in presence and without the control pulse at different bit rates with different bias currents have been investigated for pseudo-random binary sequence (PRBS) of word length 28–1. 相似文献

This paper considers the stability and eigenvalue analyses for a bladed rotor which goes under cylindrical and conical whirling. The model consists of a group of flexible blades which are modeled by beams and rigid disk on the elastic bearings. The model is a Hamiltonian system which is perturbed by small dissipative forces. Krein’s theorem reveals that the forward whirling mode and the blade collective motion may cause instability when their frequencies cut themselves in the Campbell diagram. An unstable interaction between the blades and the conical whirling is discovered. The eigenmode and eigenvalue evolutions are determined on the stability boundary. The bifurcation analysis is performed by applying multiple scales method around the stability boundary. It is shown that the damping distribution between the blades and the bearings may shift the unstable mode. 相似文献
