Using data obtained with the bubble chamber BEBC at CERN, the inclusivef 2 (1270) meson production invp and \(\bar vp\) charged current reactions is studied. It is found thatf 2 production occurs mainly in events with a hadronic invariant massW?7 GeV. In these events, the averagef 2 multiplicity is about half the average ρO multiplicity, and thex F andp T 2 distributions of thef 2 agree in shape with those of the ρO. The predictions of a semi-empirical model (Wells model) are in accord with the measured multiplicities atW>7 GeV, whereas at lowerW the model predicts too largef 2 multiplicities. 相似文献

The resolution capabilities of near-field Raman spectroscopy based on a giant enhancement of the electric field near a nanosized metal probe are studied. As a test sample, bundles of single-walled carbon nanotubes deposited on glass substrates are used. It is shown that this method ensures a subwavelength spatial resolution of about 50 nm and demonstrates a Raman scattering enhancement of the order of 104. 相似文献

In the present article we propose the application of variants of the mutual information function as characteristic fingerprints of biomolecular sequences for classification analysis. In particular, we consider the resolved mutual information functions based on Shannon-, Rényi-, and Tsallis-entropy. In combination with interpretable machine learning classifier models based on generalized learning vector quantization, a powerful methodology for sequence classification is achieved which allows substantial knowledge extraction in addition to the high classification ability due to the model-inherent robustness. Any potential (slightly) inferior performance of the used classifier is compensated by the additional knowledge provided by interpretable models. This knowledge may assist the user in the analysis and understanding of the used data and considered task. After theoretical justification of the concepts, we demonstrate the approach for various example data sets covering different areas in biomolecular sequence analysis. 相似文献

Resonance energies and widths of four resonances in the reaction25Mg(p,γ)26Al were measured with the high resolution proton beam of the new 500 kV accelerator IONAS. The previously given large width of the 389 keV resonance, Γ= 460±70 eV. (1), used in the interpretation of stellar26A1 production was shown to be incorrect and probably caused by target oxidation effects and insufficient energy resolution of the beam. X-ray spectroscopic data are reported on the state of a silicon aerogel medium (SiO2) irradiated by a Ni ion flux with an energy of 4.7 MeV/nucleon. Radiation from the electron transitions to the K shell in multicharged Si ions is detected with spatial resolution along the direction of the beam propagation in the medium. Calculations performed for the ionization state and population of the levels excited in the silicon atoms of the target provide the estimate Te = 70–120 eV for the medium electron temperature in the ion tack region. Two-dimensional hydrodynamic calculations provide the estimate Te = 60–116 eV for the same conditions and densities of 0.5–2.5 g/cm3 of the excited target medium. 相似文献
