Polymers having α,β‐unsaturated anhydrides as repeating units were synthesized by ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP). The anhydride moieties were ready‐to‐be‐grafted with amines to form acid‐labile cis‐α,β‐unsaturated acid amide linkages. The pH‐responsive reversible de‐grafting can be controlled by changing the intramolecular accessibility between acid and amide groups. The alendronate‐grafted ROMP polymers showed distinct pH‐dependent cytotoxicity according to the anhydride structures. 相似文献

Several molecular and genetic changes have been found in pituitary adenomas. We looked for correlations between these changes and the degree of invasiveness of the tumors. The invasiveness of 11 pituitary adenomas was graded by Hardy classification. We examined the retinoblastoma gene (RB1.20 on chromosome 13q) and the region around the MEN1 locus (chromosome 11q13.1-5) for loss of heterozygosity. Also examined are p53 mutations using single strain conformation polymorphism, p53 protein overexpression using immuno cytochemistry, homozygous deletions of p15 and p16 by polymerase chain reaction, and cellular proliferative activity using MIB-1 antibody. Six tumors (54.5%) had an LOH at either RB1.20 or the MEN1 locus. LOHs were found more frequently in Grade 4 and stage E tumors (72% and 67%) than in Grade 3 and stage D tumors (25% and 40%). However, no mutation or overexpression of p53 was found. No homozygous deletions of p15 or p16 were identified. The cell proliferative index ranged from 0 to 3%. LOH at 11q13 and 13q may be valuable in predicting the invasiveness of pituitary adenomas. 相似文献

A method is described for the synthesis of a nanocomposite containing FeOOH and N-doped carbon nanosheets. The nanocomposite was synthesized by a hydrothermal method using a Fe3O4/chitosan nanocomposite as the precursor. The nanocomposite displays peroxidase-like activity and catalyzes the oxidation of 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) by H2O2. This results in the formation of a blue colored product with an absorption maximum at 652 nm in the UV-vis spectra. Based on these findings, colorimetric assays were worked out for both hydrogen peroxide and glucose. The H2O2 assay works in the 5 to 19 μM concentration range, and the limit of detection is 5 nM. The glucose assay works in the 8 μM to 0.8 mM concentration range and has a 0.2 μM detection limit. The method was successfully applied to the determination of glucose in human urine. 相似文献

MgO@SiO2 core–shell nanoparticles were manufactured, and a synthetic protocol was developed to prepare MgO nanoparticles where the SiO2 shell thickness was less than 10 nm. The influence of synthesis parameters on the formation of MgO@SiO2 nanoparticles was studied. A sensitive colorimetric method for the determination of iodide ions was developed using gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) functionalised with glycol chitosan (GCS). The iodide ions were at the centre of the O–I––O coordination structure, formed with the GCS-AuNPs, reducing their interparticle distance and inducing aggregation. Time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry analyses showed that the bound iodide ions were coordinated to the oxygen atoms of the ethylene glycol in GCS, with this aggregation leading to a considerable variation in colour from light red to dark violet. Using this GCS-AuNP probe, the iodide ion concentration in environmental, biological and pharmaceutical samples could be determined by both the naked eye and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Additionally, the sensitivity of the detection was found to be markedly enhanced at pH 6, where a more pronounced colour change was observed. The absorption ratio A700/A521 of the functionalised AuNP solution correlated linearly with the iodide ion concentration within the range 0.0–10.0 mg/L, and the limits of detection in tap water, pond water, and bovine serum solution were 3.5, 3.6, and 3.4 μg/L, respectively. The present assay method can thus be utilised to rapidly measure the concentration of iodide ions in aqueous samples. 相似文献

The conversion of n-hexane was studied on a Pt-Sn/Al2O3 catalyst, a PtSn alloy and on the corresponding Pt catalysts. The results indicate the same catalytic effect of tin in supported and unsupported catalysts. It is concluded that the role of tin is connected with alloy formation.

The spin chain systems with one-dimensional magnetic ordering are promising candidates for quantum optical devices. This paper shows how the optical excitation can induce various phonon modes in an ideal Cu-O chain at various lengths. The calculation was carried out at different level theories including configuration interaction singles for excited states, density functional theory and second-order Möller-Plesset perturbation. In general, the number of modes increases with chain length due to growing asymmetry of atomic positions when chain exceeds 5 nm. There were, however, only two basic modes: one is associated with the symmetric oscillation of oxygen and another with the asymmetric motion of the same along the chain. At the length below 4.3 nm, the Raman activity of the symmetric mode (440 cm−1) dominates. From analysis of density of states, this mode may be associated with the excitation across the lowest LUMO bands with changing in spin state. 相似文献
