Exploration of pure metal-free organic molecules that exhibit strong room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP) is an emerging research topic. In this regard, unveiling the design principles for an efficient RTP molecule is an essential, but challenging, task. A small molecule is an ideal platform to precisely understand the fundamental role of each functional component because the parent molecule can be easily derivatized. Here, the RTP behaviors of a series of 3-pyridylcarbazole derivatives are presented. Experimental studies in combination with theoretical calculations reveal the crucial role of the n orbital on the central pyridine ring in the dramatic enhancement of the intersystem crossing between the charge-transfer-excited singlet state and the locally excited triplet states. Single-crystal X-ray crystallographic studies apparently indicate that both the pyridine ring and fluorine atom contribute to the enhancement of the RTP because of the restricted motion owing to weak C−H⋅⋅⋅N and H⋅⋅⋅F hydrogen-bonding interactions. The single crystal of the fluorine-substituted derivative shows an ultra-long phosphorescent lifetime (τP) of 1.1 s and a phosphorescence quantum yield (ΦP) of 1.2 %, whereas the bromine-substituted derivative exhibits τP of 0.15 s with a ΦP of 7.9 %. The propagation of curved detonation waves of gaseous explosives stabilized in rectangular-cross-section curved channels is investigated. Three types of stoichiometric test gases, C2H4 + 3O2, 2H2 + O2, and 2C2H2 + 5O2 + 7Ar, are evaluated. The ratio of the inner radius of the curved channel (ri) to the normal detonation cell width (λ) is an important factor in stabilizing curved detonation waves. The lower boundary of stabilization is around ri/λ = 23, regardless of the test gas. The stabilized curved detonation waves eventually attain a specific curved shape as they propagate through the curved channels. The specific curved shapes of stabilized curved detonation waves are approximately formulated, and the normal detonation velocity (Dn)?curvature (κ) relations are evaluated. The Dn nondimensionalized by the Chapman–Jouguet (CJ) detonation velocity (DCJ) is a function of the κ nondimensionalized by λ. The Dn/DCJ?λκ relation does not depend on the type of test gas. The propagation behavior of the stabilized curved detonation waves is controlled by the Dn/DCJ?λκ relation. Due to this propagation characteristic, the fully-developed, stabilized curved detonation waves propagate through the curved channels while maintaining a specific curved shape with a constant angular velocity. Well‐defined alkoxysilane oligomers containing a cagelike carbosiloxane core were synthesized and used as novel building blocks for the formation of siloxane‐based hybrid networks. These oligomers were synthesized from the cagelike trimer derived from bis(triethoxysilyl)methane by silylation with mono‐, di‐, and triethoxychlorosilanes ((EtO)nMe3?nSiCl, n=1, 2, and 3). Hybrid xerogels were prepared by hydrolysis and polycondensation of these oligomers under acidic conditions. The structures of the products varied depending on the number of alkoxy groups (n). When n=2 and 3, microporous xerogels (BET surface areas of 820 and 510 m2 g?1, respectively) were obtained, whereas a nonporous xerogel was obtained when n=1. 29Si NMR spectroscopic analysis suggested that partial rearrangement of the siloxane networks, which accompanied the cleavage of the Si–O–Si linkages, occurred during the polycondensation processes. By using an amphiphilic triblock copolymer surfactant as a structure‐directing agent, hybrid thin films with a 2D hexagonal mesostructure were obtained when n=2 and 3. A family of spin-crossover (SC) complexes, [Fe(II)H(3)L(Me)]Cl.X (X(-) = PF(6) (-), AsF(6) (-), SbF(6) (-), CF(3)SO(3) (-)), 1-4, has been synthesized, in which H(3)L(Me) denotes the hexadentate N(6) tripod-like ligand tris[2-{[(2-methylimidazol-4-yl)methylidene]amino}ethyl]amine, containing three imidazole groups, with a view to establishing the effect of the counter anion on the SC behavior. These complexes have been found to crystallize in the same monoclinic crystal system with similar cell dimensions. The general crystal structure consists of a two-dimensional (2D) extended network constructed by NH...Cl- hydrogen bonds between Cl- and the imidazole NH groups of three neighboring [Fe(II)H(3)L(Me)]2+ ions, while the anion X exists as an isolated counter anion and occupies the space between the 2D sheets. Magnetic susceptibilities and M?ssbauer spectra have revealed a variety of SC behaviors depending on the counter anion, including a one-step HS<==>(HS + LS)/2 (1, X = PF(6) (-)), a two-step HS<==>(HS + LS)/2<==>LS with a slow thermal relaxation (2, X = AsF(6) (-)), a gradual one-step HS<==>LS (3, X = SbF(6) (-)), and a steep one-step HS<==>LS with hysteresis (4, X = CF(3)SO(3) (-)). The complexes assume the space group P2(1)/n in the HS state, P2(1) in the HS + LS state, and P2(1)/n in the LS state. The Fe-N bond lengths and the N-Fe-N bond angles are indicative of the HS, HS + LS, and LS states. The molecular volumes, V, of the counter anions have been evaluated by quantum-chemical calculations as follows: 53.4 A(3) (BF(4) (-)), 54.4 A(3) (ClO(4) (-)), 73.0 A(3) (PF(6) (-)), 78.5 A(3) (AsF(6) (-)), 88.7 A(3) (SbF(6) (-)), and 86.9 A(3) (CF(3)SO(3) (-)). The size and shape of the counter anion affects the flexible 2D network structure constructed by the hydrogen bonds, leading to modifications of the SC behavior. Fluorohydrogenate salts of quaternary phosphonium cations with alkyl and methoxy groups (tetraethylphosphonium (P(2222)(+)), triethyl-n-pentylphosphonium (P(2225)(+)), triethyl-n-octylphosphonium (P(2228)(+)), and triethylmethoxymethylphosphonium (P(222(101))(+))) have been synthesized by the metatheses of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride and the corresponding phosphonium bromide or chloride precursors. The three salts with asymmetric cations, P(222m)(FH)(2.1)F (m = 5, 8, and 101), are room temperature ionic liquids (ILs) and are characterized by differential scanning calorimetry, density, viscosity, and conductivity measurements. Linear sweep voltammetry using a glassy carbon working electrode shows these phosphonium fluorohydrogenate ILs have wide electrochemical windows (>4.9 V) with the lowest viscosity and highest conductivity in the known phosphonium-based ILs. Thermogravimetry shows their thermal stabilities are also improved compared to previously reported alkylammonium cation-based fluorohydrogenate salts. Differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffraction revealed that tetraethylphosphonium fluorohydrogenate salt, P(2222)(FH)(2)F, exhibits two plastic crystal phases. The high temperature phase has a hexagonal lattice, which is the first example of a plastic crystal phase with an inverse nickel arsenide-type structure, and the low-temperature phase has an orthorhombic lattice. The high-temperature plastic crystal phase exhibits a conductivity of 5 mS cm(-1) at 50 °C, which is the highest value for the neat plastic crystals. 相似文献

Diffusion coefficient of 36Cl in silver chloride was revealed to be about 1 x 10(-10)-4 x 10(-11) cm2 . s-1 in the range of 400 degrees C-200 degrees C by means of radioactive tracer measurements.
