Flue instruments such as the recorder flute and the transverse flute have different mouth geometries and acoustical response. The effect of the mouth geometry is studied by considering the aeroacoustical response of a simple whistle. The labium of a transverse flute has a large edge angle (60 degrees) compared to that of a recorder flute (15 degrees). Furthermore, the ratio W/h of the mouth width W to the jet thickness h can be varied in the transverse flute (lips of the musician) while it is fixed to a value W/h approximately 4 in a recorder flute. A systematic experimental study of the steady oscillation behavior has been carried out. Results of acoustical pressure measurements and flow visualization are presented. The sharp edge of the recorder provides a sound source which is rich in harmonics at the cost of stability. The larger angle of the labium of the flute seems to be motivated by a better stability of the oscillations for thick jets but could also be motivated by a reduction of broadband turbulence noise. We propose two simplified sound source models which could be used for sound synthesis: a jet-drive model for W/h>2 and a discrete-vortex model for W/h<2. 相似文献

A real specimen originating from the primary circuit of a VVER-440 type pressurized water cooled nuclear reactor has been studied by Conversion Electron Mössbauer Spectroscopy (CEMS) in order to find out how the AP-CITROX decontamination procedure modifies the structure and composition of the surface oxide layer of stainless steel which is used in the steam generator. Other methods like voltammetry, gravimetry, and SEM-EDAX were also applied to characterize the samples and to help the interpretation of CEMS results. It was found that, in contradiction with expectations, the presence of the surface magnetite layer could not be convincingly identified even on the non-decontaminated sample. This finding together with the relatively weak Mössbauer signals indicated that the surface oxide layer is strongly Fe-depleted. It was also concluded that the upper layer of the bulk steel (under the oxide layer) has an altered composition probably due to irradiation-enhanced diffusion of the metallic constituents. It was established that the AP-CITROX decontamination procedure does not exert detrimental effects on the thickness and composition of the surface oxide layer. 相似文献

Resonant ultrasound spectroscopy was used to measure the elastic constants of bcc Ta0.33V0.67 over the temperature range 3.5–300?K; the results were compared to earlier measurements on C15 TaV2. The temperature dependence of the polycrystalline shear modulus is completely different in the two phases; that of the bcc phase decreases with temperature whereas that of the C15 phases increases in an anomalous fashion. This difference is consistent with a model involving doubly-degenerate levels at the X point of the Brillouin zone in the C15 phase with the Fermi level lying near the doubly degenerate level. This model accounted for the unusual behaviour of the C15 phase. Debye temperatures were determined from the ultrasonic measurements: 295?K for the C15 phase and 315?K for the bcc phase. 相似文献

The class of thermotropic ionic liquid crystals (LCs) of the metal alkanoates possesses a number of unique properties, such as intrinsic ionic conductivity, high dissolving ability and ability to form time-stable mesomorphic glasses. These ionic LCs can be used as nanoreactors for the synthesis and stabilisation of different types of nanoparticles (NPs). Thus, some semiconductors, metals and core/shell NPs were chemically synthesised in the thermotropic ionic liquid crystalline phase (smectic A) of the cadmium octanoate (CdC8) and of the cobalt octanoate (CoC8). By applying the scanning electron microscopy, the cadmium and cobalt octanoate composites containing CdS, Au, Ag and core/shell Au/CdS NPs have been studied. Three reaction paths, namely, molecule‐induced homolytic, free radical, and electrophilic, were modeled computationally at the MP2 level of ab initio theory and studied experimentally for the reaction of F2 with the terminal dienes of bicyclo[3.3.1]nonane series. The addition of fluorine is accompanied by transannular cyclization to the adamantane derivatives in which strong evidence for the electrophilic mechanism both in nucleophilic (acetonitrile) and non‐nucleophilic (CFCl3, CHCl3) solvents were found. The presence of KF in CFCl3 and CHCl3 facilitates the addition and substantially reduces the formation of tar products. 相似文献

c is obtained for x=0.5, y=1.0 sample (T
c ∼ 75 K), for La1.5Dy0.5Ca1Ba2Cu5O
