A portable colorimeter using a red-green-blue light-emitting diode as a light source has been developed. An embedded controller sequentially turns emitters on and off, and acquires the signals detected by two photo diodes synchronized with their blinking. The controller calculates the absorbance and displays it on a liquid-crystal display. The whole system, including a 006P dry cell, is contained in a 100 x 70 x 50 mm aluminum case and its mass is 280 g. This colorimeter was successfully applied to the on-site determination of nitrite and iron in river-water.  相似文献

A new negative resistance device named CHIRP (Coherent Hetero-Interfaces for Reflection and Penetration) superlattice diode is discussed. The operating principle of the device is explained employing the graded mini-band scheme. The approximate and practical form of the function which determines the period modulation of this superlattice is presented. The simulation of the electron behavior in the superlattice is compared with the electron reflection spectra obtained by the transfer matrix method. The practical lower limit of the layer numbers for the proper operation is estimated. The operation mechanism of the CHIRP superlattice is found to be invulnerable against the layer thickness fluctuations.  相似文献

Thermal decomposition of formaldehyde diluted with Ar was studied behind reflected shock waves in the temperature range of 1200–2000 K at total pressures between 1.3 and 3.0 atm. The study was carried out for compositions from the concentrated mixture, 4% CH2O, to the highly dilute mixture, 0.01% CH2O by using time-resolve IR-laser absorption and IR-emission, and a single-pulse technique. From a computer-simulation study, the mechanism and the rate-constant expressions that could explain all of our data and previously reported ARAS data were discussed. This data obtained over a wide concentration range from 50 ppm CH2O to 4% CH2O were satisfactorily modeled by a five-reaction mechanism. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Propyne (p-C3H4) or allene (a-C3H4) mixtures, highly diluted with Ar, were heated to the temperature range 1200–1570 K at pressures of 1.7–2.6 atm behind reflected shock waves. The thermal decompositions of propyne and allene were studied by both measuring the profiles of the IR emission at 3.48 μm or 5.18 μm and analyzing the concentrations of reacted gas mixtures. The mechanism and the rate constant expressions were discussed from both the profiles and the concentrations of reactant and products obtained. The rate constant expressions for reactions, (1) p-C3H4a-C3H4, (?1) a-C3H4p-C3H4, and (5) p-C3H4 + H → CH3 + C2H2 were evaluated.  相似文献

InAs was grown by low-pressure metalorganic chemical vapor deposition on vicinal GaAs(1 0 0) substrates misoriented by 2° toward [0 0 1]. We observed InAs crystal growth, at substrate temperatures down to 300°C, employing in situ plasma-generated arsine radicals as the arsenic source. The in situ generated arsine was produced by placing solid arsenic downstream of a microwave driven hydrogen plasma. Trimethylindium (TMIn) feedstock carried by hydrogen gas was used as the indium source. The Arrhenius plot of InAs growth rate vs. reciprocal substrate temperature displayed an activation energy of 46.1 kcal/mol in the temperature range of 300–350°C. This measured activation energy value is very close to the energy necessary to remove the first methyl radical from the TMIn molecule, which has never been reported in prior InAs growth to the best of authors’ knowledge. The film growth mechanism is discussed. The crystallinity, infrared spectrum, electrical properties and impurity levels of grown InAs are also presented.  相似文献

Modified poly(methacrylic acid) microparticles complexed with gadolinium(III) (Gd3+) ions were prepared in 100 nm. The emulsion terpolymerization of methacrylic acid, ethyl acrylate, and allyl methacrylate and the following complexation with Gd3+ ions yielded the polymer particles with different Gd3+ ion contents. Potentiometric titration of the complexation of the particle with Gd3+ ions indicated the formation of a very stable tris‐carboxylate coordinate complex with the Gd3+ ion. Electron spin resonance and IR spectra of the complexed particles were dependent on the Gd3+ ion content and the coordination environment in each particle. The microparticles dispersed on a mica substrate were subjected to atomic force microscopy (AFM), followed by magnetic force microscopy (MFM). AFM showed 100‐nm‐sized and monodispersed spherical images. The following MFM clearly provided strong magnetic responses exactly on the same particle positions, of which the images were also dependent on the Gd3+ ion content in the particle. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
