Conformational preferences and orbital interactions of methyl chloroacetate (1), methyl bromoacetate (2) and methyl iodo-acetate (3) were analyzed using experimental infra-red data, theoretical calculations and NBO analyses. The conformational equilibria of compounds 1-3 can be represented by their cis and gauche rotamers. The gauche form of 1 is stable in the vapour phase and in a non-polar solvent, but the cis is predominant in a polar solvent. For 2 the gauche form is more stable than the cis, in both the vapour and liquid phases, but for compound 3 only the gauche form was observed both in vapour phase as in solution. These conformational preferences were attributed to the orbital interaction between two antibonding orbitals pi(C=O)(*)-->sigma(C-X)(*). This unexpected interaction was possibly due to the high (0.2) electron density on pi(C=O)(*), which results from the interaction between ether oxygen lone pair and pi(C=O)(*).  相似文献

A catalytic amount of DMAP promoted cyclization of o-alkynoylphenols via a 6-endo cyclization mode leading to flavone derivatives in high yields without forming 5-exo cyclized aurone derivatives. The effect of preferential wetting of one of the constituent block chains and corresponding block copolymer morphologies to a carbon substrate is studied from a molecular level. The single chain distribution of the block copolymer was estimated as a function of the distance from the substrate by a combined method of transmission electron microtomography (TEMT) and self-consistent field (SCF) simulation. The former provides three-dimensional (3D) morphological information of cylindrical microdomains near the surface, while the latter utilizes the 3D morphology to quantitatively determine the interaction between the block chains and substrate, which is further used to estimate the single chain distribution of one of the block chains, i.e., the subchain, of the matrix. It was found that the subchains in the vicinity of the wetting layer are substantially compressed, while the radius of gyration of the subchain at a distance L (L is the interlayer distance of the cylindrical microdomains from the substrate) has already reached the same value as that in the bulk, indicating that the propagation of the surface interaction is limited to one layer. The methodology developed in this study can be used not only to estimate the surface effect on polymer chains for a variety of different surfaces, but also to provide a means to understand complicated block copolymer morphologies from a molecular level.  相似文献

The time-dependent motion of a rarefied gas between two parallel planes caused by an oscillatory motion of the plane is studied based on the linearized Boltzmann equation for a hard sphere molecular gas. With the aid of a deterministic numerical method, an accurate numerical analysis is carried out for a wide range of gas rarfaction and oscillatory frequency. The detailed data of the shear stress acting on the planes is provided in a complete form for a wide range of the parameters. Molecular encapsulation of water-soluble anionic fluorescent dye molecules, 8-anilino-1-naphthalenesulfonic acid (ANS), and its bimolecular derivative (bis-ANS), in the generation 3.5 polyamidoamine (G3.5 PAMAM) dendrimer was investigated in the bulk aqueous phase and at the polarized water|1,2-dichloroethane interface. ANS(-) was electrostatically incorporated in the dendrimer, and the fluorescence enhancement with a blue shift of the emission maximum was observed at pH values <6, where the interior of the dendrimer was positively charged. The fluorescence enhancement of ANS was maximized around pH 3 and then decreased under more acidic conditions. The potential dependences of the molecular encapsulation and the interfacial mechanism were studied in detail by means of potential modulated fluorescence (PMF) spectroscopy. Under acidic conditions, the dendrimer incorporated ANS(-) at the positively polarized interface as well as in the aqueous phase. ANS(-) was released from the dendrimer at the intrinsic transfer potential and independently transferred across the interface. Bis-ANS exhibited relatively strong interaction with the dendrimer over a wide pH range (1 < pH < 8), and a negative shift of the transfer potential was observed under the corresponding pH condition. The PMF analysis clearly demonstrated that the interfacial mechanism of the dendrimer involves transfer and adsorption processes depending on the pH condition and the Galvani potential difference.  相似文献
