An immunoassay in which BPA competed with a BPA-horseradish peroxidase conjugate for binding to anti-BPA antibodies, coupled to a piezoelectric (PZ) immunosensor, was able to detect 0.1 ng mL(-1) BPA. To enhance the sensitivity of the assay, we tested nanoparticles approximately 200 nm in diameter, coupled to anti-BPA antibodies, to increase the mass change on the surface of the immunosensor and thereby increase the frequency shift detected. This second step, using nanoparticles coated with anti-BPA antibodies, improved the sensitivity of the assay by approximately eight times at BPA concentrations below 10 ng mL(-1). Field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) showed that polymeric 2-methacrolyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine (MPC) nanoparticles coupled to antibodies remained monodisperse on the surface of the immunosensor and therefore produced stable signals in the immunosensors. Since the frequency shift detected in the assay mainly originated from the mass change on the surface of the PZ crystal, the colloidal stability of the antibody-conjugated particles used in the enhancement step played an extremely important role in achieving a stable and highly sensitive signal.  相似文献

We show that bulk gold (Au) exhibits temperature-independent paramagnetism in an external magnetic field by x-ray magnetic circular dichroism spectroscopy at the Au L(2) and L(3) edges. Using the sum-rule analysis, we obtained a magnetic moment of 1.3 × 10(-4) μB/atom in an external magnetic field of 10 T and a paramagnetic susceptibility of 8.9 × 10(-6) for the 5d orbit. The induced paramagnetism in bulk Au is characterized by a large (≈ 30%) orbital contribution. This orbital component was retained even when Au atoms formed nanoparticles, playing an important role in stabilizing the spontaneous spin polarization in the Au nanoparticles.  相似文献

Many types of TiO2-SiO2 (Ti:Si=50:50 mol%) were prepared by the sol-gel procedure with and without 2-methyl-2, 4-pentanediol (MPD) as an organic ligand. The effect of MPD on the gel structure and the properties of the TiO2 crystals were studied by XRD and raman spectroscopy, and the effect of the sol standing time on the properties of the TiO2 crystals were also studied by XRD spectroscopy. In the gels with MPD, anatase of TiO2 appeared at approximately 580°C, and the crystal structures were similar despite the difference in the gel preparation procedure. The titania gels with MPD were presumed to be dispersed in the silica gel matrix without any Ti-O-Si bond. In the presence of MPD, the formation of titania gels is controlled and the specified TiO2 crystal is produced.  相似文献

We generated a white-light continuum array by directing femtosecond laser pulses into a liquid with a microlens array. Experimental evidence demonstrates that the spatial coherence is high within a single light source in the array. We also confirmed that all the light sources in the white-light continuum array are mutually coherent. We found that the simple self-phase modulation model cannot explain this high coherence between the white continuum sources.  相似文献

Mechanism of selective oxygen reduction on platinum by 2,2'-bipyridine in the presence of methanol has been investigated by in situ surface-enhanced infrared absorption spectroscopy. The addition of 2,2'-bipyridine caused the decrease of adsorbed water molecules and those existing near the surface of platinum. The formation of both CO and formate, the latter being the intermediate in the non-CO path for methanol oxidation, depressed in the presence of 2,2'-bipyridine, suggests that 2,2'-bipyridine hinders methanol oxidation via both non-CO and CO paths on platinum. The geometrical effect of 2,2'-bipyridine adsorbed onto platinum was also investigated by multisite Monte Carlo simulation. It is indicated that selective oxygen reduction is caused by the difference in the number of required adsorption sites between methanol and dioxygen molecules. The suppression of Pt oxide species by 2,2'-bipyridine is found to be another factor that enhances the oxygen reduction.  相似文献

ESR spectra of methyl methacrylate (MMA) adsorbed on solid surfaces such as silica, alumina, and CPG-10 show a seven-line absorption due to monomer radicals when γ-irradiated at ?196°C. These spectra turn into conventional nine-line spectra by annealing at ?86°C as a result of polymerization. The intensity ratio of the four-line component to the five-line component changes with further polymerization. The ratio depends on the kind of solid and the smallest value is obtained in the spectra of alumina-MMA. The temperature of irradiation strongly affects the value in alumina-MMA. These results suggest that MMA is strongly adsorbed and deformed the conformation on alumina surface.  相似文献
