Gate control characteristics of GaAs-based quantum wire transistors (QWRTrs) controlled by a nanometer-scale Schottky wrap gate (WPG) are investigated theoretically and experimentally. Gate bias dependence of the effective wire width of fabricated WPG QWRTrs determined theoretically as well as experimentally from Landau plots showed that the nanometer-scale WPG controls the potential very tightly near channel pinch-off and that the pinch-off threshold voltage is strongly dependent on the gate length, LG, when LG is shorter than 400 nm. The theory based on the three-dimensional (3D) potential simulation pointed out that Fermi level pinning on the semiconductor surface around the WPGs strongly affects the gate controllability in the nanometer-scale Schottky WPG structure. 相似文献

The reaction of N-(2-aminopropyl)-N-(2-hydroxypropyl)aniline with phosgene afforded cis and trans isomers of 4,8-dimethyl-6-phenyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-4H-1,3,6-oxadiazocin-2-one. This paper deals with analytic and geometric properties of the Maskit embedding of the Teichmüller space of once punctured tori. We show that the image of this embedding has an inward-pointing cusp and study the boundary behavior of conformal automorphisms. These results are proved using Y.N. Minsky's Pivot Theorem.

In this paper we present some initial results from a conceptual design study focused on the development of a novel frequency tunable gyrotron for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy with signal enhancement based on the utilization of high field radiation and dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) technique. The first variants of both the electron optical system and the resonant cavity which have been designed aiming continuous frequency tunability in a broad frequency band are presented and discussed. The selected method for frequency tunability is based on the excitation of higher order axial modes and smooth transition between them. It was selected after a critical examination of the known theoretical and practical results related to the frequency control in gyrotrons. It is believed that the current conceptual design is an appropriate basis for development of the next (optimized) design which will include also a detailed design of other components (mode converter, output window etc.) and magnetic circuit (superconducting magnet and supplementary solenoids) as well as for the overall mechanical design and fabrication of the prospective gyrotron. 相似文献

The central problem in the quantum theory of measurement, how to describe the process of state reduction in terms of the quantum mechanical formalism, is solved on the basis of the relativity of quantal states, which implies that once the apparatus is detected in a well-defined state, the object state must reduce to a corresponding one. This is a process termed by Schrödinger disentanglement. Here, it is essential to observe that Renninger's negative result does constitute an actual measurement process. From this point of view, Heisenberg's interpretation of his microscope experiment and the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen arguments are reinvestigated. Satisfactory discussions are given to various experimental situations, such as the Stern-Gerlach-type experiment, successive measurements, macroscopic measurements, and Schrödinger's cat. Finally it is proposed to regard a state vector in quantum mechanics as an irreducible physical construct, in Margenau's sense, that is not further analyzable both mathematically and conceptually. 相似文献

The hexadodecapeptide corresponding to the entire amino acid sequence of porcine brain natriuretic peptide (pBNP) was synthesized by assembling four segments in solution, followed by HF deprotection and subsequent oxidation to establish an intramolecular disulfide bridge. The synthesis using the newly developed S-trimethylacetamidomethylcysteine [Cys(Tacm)] derivative gave a better yield than that using the S-2,4,6-trimethylbenzylcysteine [Cys(Tmb)] derivative. The chick rectum relaxant activity of the synthetic pBNP was 2.9 times more potent than that of alpha-rat atrial natriuretic peptide (alpha-rANP). 相似文献

Extra meridional reflections (00l: l = 3, 5, 13, 15, 21) were observed in drawn polyoxymethylene (POM). The 003, 0015, and 0021 x-ray diffraction intensities increase on annealing, while the 005 and 0013 intensities decrease. It is concluded that crystalline regions are of two kinds: in the first, which generates the 003, 0015, and 0021 reflections, the molecular conformation is slightly distorted from the uniform helix by intermolecular steric hindrance between the CH2 groups; and in the second, which generates 005 and 0013 reflections, the molecular conformation is distorted in another way. The second form is converted into the first by annealing. The displacements in the c direction of the CH2 groups and the oxygen atoms from the uniform helix in the first form are about 1.0% and 0.75% of the interval between a CH2 group and an oxygen atom along helix axis of the POM crystal; thus the correct conformation in the stable state is known. Line broadening and orbit dependence of the Coulomb displacement energy have been observed for the 1g9/2, 2p1/2 and 2p3/2 hole-state analogs in a series of odd-A Sn isotopes.
