A novel thermo- and pH-sensitive nanogel particle, which is a core-shell structured particle with a poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (p(NIPAAm)) hydrogel core and a poly(ethylene glycol) monomethacrylate grafted poly(methacrylic acid) (p(MMA-g-EG)) shell, is of interest as a vehicle for the controlled release of peptide drugs. The interactions between such nanogel particles and artificial mucin layers during both approach and separation were successfully measured by using colloid probe atomic force microscopy (AFM) under various compression forces, scan velocities, and pH values. While the magnitudes of the compression forces and scan velocities did not affect the interactions during the approach process, the adhesive force during the separation process increased with these parameters. The pH values significantly influenced the interactions between the nanogel particles and a mucin layer. A large steric repulsive force and a long-range adhesive force were measured at neutral pH due to the swollen p(MMA-g-EG) shell. On the other hand, at low pH values, the steric repulsive force disappeared and a short-range adhesive force was detected, which resulted from the collapse of the shell layer. The nanogel particles possessed a pH response that was sufficient to protect the incorporated peptide drug under the harsh acidic conditions in the stomach and to effectively adhere to the mucin layer of the small intestine, where the pH is neutral. The relationships among the nanogel particle-mucin layer interactions, pH conditions, scan velocities, and compression forces were systemically investigated and discussed.  相似文献

Two stable and optically active iridium-salen complexes were synthesized by introducing a tolyl or phenyl ligand at the apical position, respectively, via the S(E)Ar mechanism, and they were found to be efficient catalysts for cis-selective asymmetric cyclopropanation. The scope of the cyclopropanation was wide, and the reactions of not only conjugated mono-, di-, and trisubstituted olefins but also nonconjugated terminal olefins proceeded with high enantio- and cis-selectivity, even in the presence of a functional group such as an ether or ester. The utility of this cyclopropanation was demonstrated by a short step synthesis of 8-[(1R,2S)-2-hexylcyclopropyl]octanoate, isolated from Escherichia coli B-ATCC 11303, using the reaction as the key step.  相似文献

It has been established that an electron‐deficient CpE rhodium(III) complex catalyzes the oxidative [4+2] annulation of substituted arenecarboxylic and acrylic acids with alkynes under ambient conditions (at RT–40 °C, under air) without using excess amounts of substrates to produce the corresponding substituted isocoumarins and α‐pyrones in high yields. Minor modification of reaction conditions depending on the coordination ability of alkynes realized the high efficiency.  相似文献

Highly soluble and stable quinone dimer and trimers were successfully yielded by introduction of t-Bu substituents. In X-ray structure analysis, the dimer quinone moiety was distorted into the boat shape, which was clarified by MO calculations. X-ray and UV/vis studies indicated that the covalently linked quinone moieties bear a large torsional angle. Nevertheless, the reduction potentials rose significantly with the order of monomer < dimer < trimer, indicating that the negative charge was efficiently delocalized within the radical anions.  相似文献

A novel crocetin glycosyl ester, neocrocin A (2), was isolated from gardenia yellow. The structure of 2 was elucidated as that of an all-trans-crocetin beta-D-gentiobiosyl beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)-D-2-deoxy-glucopyranos-2-yl diester based on chemical and spectral data. The findings provide evidence that the binding system of crocetin glycosides is not limited to the anomeric position.  相似文献

Liquid crystalline (LC) polymer brushes containing a mesogenic azobenzene (Az) moiety are synthesized on a quartz or silicon substrate by surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization. The molecular orientation of the Az units and the LC properties in the grafted chains are evaluated by UV-vis spectroscopy, polarized optical microscopy, and grazing incidence X-ray diffraction measurements. The Az side chains of the grafted chains exhibited a smectic LC phase in which the smectic layers are oriented perpendicular to the substrate with a parallel orientation of the mesogens. In contrast, a spincast film of the identical LC polymer without grafting to the surface shows layer structures parallel to the substrate. A drastic effect of tethering one end to the substrate on the LC orientation is demonstrated.  相似文献

C3‐symmetric homochiral (?)‐syn‐trisoxonorbornabenzene 1 possessing a rigid cup‐shaped structure was synthesized through a novel regioselective cyclotrimerization of enantiopure iodonorbornenes catalyzed by palladium nanoclusters. The yield of the cyclotrimerization was dependent on the stability of the palladium clusters, which was ascertained from the appearance and TEM images of the reaction mixtures. The efficient preparation of (?)‐syn‐ 1 was established in short steps, including the newly developed cyclotrimerization reaction. The thus‐prepared homochiral (?)‐syn‐ 1 can serve as a key intermediate for the synthesis of C3‐symmetric homochiral cup‐shaped molecules with a helical arrangement of substituents. Introduction of several types of substituents was well demonstrated through palladium‐catalyzed coupling reactions with the corresponding phosphate and triflate of (?)‐syn‐ 1 .  相似文献

Strong interaction of a system of quantum emitters (e.g., two-level atoms) with electromagnetic field induces specific correlations in the system accompanied by a drastic increase of emitted radiation (superradiation or superfluorescence). Despite the fact that since its prediction this phenomenon was subject to a vigorous experimental and theoretical research, there remain open question, in particular, concerning the possibility of a first order phase transition to the superradiant state from the vacuum state. In systems of natural and charge-based artificial atom this transition is prohibited by “no-go” theorems. Here we demonstrate numerically and confirm analytically a similar transition in a one-dimensional quantum metamaterial – a chain of artificial atoms (qubits) strongly interacting with classical electromagnetic fields in a transmission line. The system switches from vacuum state to the quasi-superradiant (QS) phase with one or several magnetic solitons and finite average occupation of qubit excited states along the transmission line. A quantum metamaterial in the QS phase circumvents the “no-go” restrictions by considerably decreasing its total energy relative to the vacuum state by exciting nonlinear electromagnetic solitons.  相似文献
