Structural phase transitions between various kinds of superlattice structures formed on a Si(111) surface have been investigated by spot analysis of reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED). Reversible transitions induced by temperature changes and irreversible ones induced by metal depositions were observed. Detailed discussions on the dynamics of the phase transitions are made by quantitative analyses of integrated spot intensity and profile. For a phase transition of 7′7  1′1 structures on a clean Si(111) surface, a hysteresis with temperature difference of 5°C. between in heating and cooling processes was found in the spot intensity change, indicating a first-order transition. Hysteresis was hardly recognized, on the other hand, for transitions of Au-induced superstructures (5×2-Au or ×-Au)  1×1-Au. The spot profiles were found to be broadened during the transition of Si(111)-×-Au  1×1-Au, which was a signature of a continuous transition, while the profiles remained unchanged during the transitions of the 7×7  1×1 and 5×2-Au  1×1-Au phases. Structural conversions induced by In adsorption on the Si(111) surface kept at constant temperatures were also analyzed. The conversions at room temperature were totally dependent on the initial substrate surface structures; the 7×7 surface did not show any structural conversion with In adsorption, while the ×-In surface successively converted to a 2×2 and a × phase with coverage increase. The structural transitions at elevated temperatures were sensitively dependent on the temperatures. Sequences of transitions among the 7×7, 4×1, ×, , and ×4 were quantitatively revealed as changes in RHEED spot intensity.  相似文献

Terephthalic acid was synthesized by the carboxylation of benzoic acid with carbon tetrachloride in aqueous sodium hydroxide solution in the presence of cyclodextrin (CyD) and copper powder as catalyst. By the use of β-CyD at the initial molar ratio to benzoic acid of 0.5, the carboxylation at 60 °C for 7 hours produced terephthalic acid in 75 mol% yield with 87% selectivity. The selective synthesis of 4,4'-biphenyldicarboxylic acid in 70 mol% yield was achieved by the carboxylation of 4-biphenylcarboxylic acid with carbon tetrachloride in the presence of β-Cyd under similar conditions. The carboxylation of 2-naphthalene carboxylic acid with carbon tetrachloride using β-Cyd under similar conditions produced 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid in 67 mol% yield with 84% selectivity. When α-CyD and γ-CyD were used in place of β-Cyd, both the yields and the selectivities of the dicarboxylic acids were markedly small. In the absence of CyD, carboxylation did not proceed. Inclusion complex formations between β-Cyd and aromatic monocarboxylic acids were indicated by the 1H chemical shifts of the β-Cyd. The reaction mechanism was discussed on the basis of inclusion complex formation.  相似文献

In applying Pressure-Sensitive Paint (PSP) to low-speed flow wind tunnel testing, it is important to minimize any measurement uncertainties. There are various error sources such as camera noise, misalignment of images due to model displacement and temperature distribution over the model. Among these factors, the effects of temperature distribution change during tests on pressure measurement accuracies were studied in the present paper. Pressure and temperature distributions over a simplified car model (1/10 scale Ahmed model) were measured using PSP and Temperature-Sensitive Paint (TSP). Sequential images were acquired at the same intervals over the entire test period, including for the conditions before and after the tunnel run. As a result, it was found that the measurement error caused by temperature distribution over the model could be reduced using a single-point temperature measurement. In addition, by measuring surface temperature distributions on the model using TSP, it was proved that the most accurate pressure measurement could be made by rationing the wind-off image acquired immediately after shutting down the tunnel to the wind-on image acquired immediately before shutting down the tunnel. Using the present measurement technique, complicated pressure fields over the Ahmed model were successfully visualized.  相似文献

Levels of intracellular Ca2+ were monitored using fluorescence from Ca2+-sensitive dyes in chick embryonic heart cells cultured in an annular geometry. There was spontaneous starting and stopping of reentrant waves of activity. The results are modeled using modified FitzHugh-Nagumo equations representing pacemakers embedded in a conducting medium. These results provide a potential mechanism for spontaneous abnormal cardiac rhythms in which there are rapid heart beats (tachycardias) that repetitively start and stop.  相似文献

We have developed a general, robust, and cost-effective method for the (E)- or (Z)-stereocomplementary enol tosylation of beta-ketoesters using TsCl- N-methylimidazole (NMI)-Et3N or LiOH. TsCl coupled with NMI formed a highly reactive N-sulfonylammonium intermediate. Stereocongested secondary alcohols were smoothly sulfonylated using Ts(Ms)Cl-NMI-Et3N. beta-Ketoesters underwent (E)-selective tosylation using TsCl-NMI-Et3N and (Z)-selective tosylation using TsCl-NMI-LiOH (total of 23 examples; 60%-99% yield). Stereoretentive Negishi and Sonogashira couplings using enol tosylates proceeded successfully to give trisubstituted alpha,beta-unsaturated esters.  相似文献

In the presence of a catalytic amount of sodium methoxide, sym-dimethoxytetramethyldisilane was converted into α,ω-dimethoxypermethylpolysilanes, MeO(SiMe2)nOMe where n ? 3, at room temperature. On the other hand, similar treatment of the disilane in THF solution gave cyclic polysilanes, (Me2Si)n where n = 5–7. Decomposition of the disilane in the presence of diphenylacetylene afforded a trisilacyclopentene derivative under similar conditions. This compound was obtained also by the reaction between α,ω-dimethoxypermethylpolysilanes and diphenylacetylene in the presence of sodium methoxide. These cyclic products most likely were formed via permethyl polysilyl anion intermediates derived from α,ω-dimethoxypermethylpolysilanes. Also, the formation of α,ω-dimethoxypermethylpolysilanes could be elucidated in terms of the mechanism involving the base-assisted, concerted nucleophilic substitution or stepwise substitution by silyl anions, rather than the successive dimethylsilylene (Me2Si:) insertion reaction.  相似文献

We measured quantitative spectra of firefly (Photinus pyralis) bioluminescence in the presence of Zn2+ and other bivalent metal ions to investigate the effects of these metal ions on luciferin‐luciferase reaction. We studied the dependence of the quantum yield and spectrum on quantity and kind of bivalent metal ions. Adding various amounts of Mg2+, Mn2+ and Ca2+ produced virtually no change in the quantum yields or the spectra of bioluminescence. In contrast, increasing amounts of ions such as Zn2+ and Cd2+ decreased quantum yields and changed the bioluminescence color from yellow‐green to red. Quantitative analysis showed that the sensitivities of the quantum yield and color to various metal ions were in the order of Hg2+>Zn2+, Cd2+>Ni2+, Co2+, Fe2+≫Mg2+, Mn2+, Ca2+. We propose that the changes in quantum yield and spectrum caused by the metal ions are due to their effect on luciferase that surrounds oxyluciferin during its radioactive decay. We also found that having more metal ions accelerated bioluminescence reactions. The sensitivity of the reaction rate had no correlation with those of the quantum yield and spectrum.  相似文献

The reaction of 1,2-dimethoxytetramethyldisilane with styrene and α-methylstyrene in the presence of NaOMe catalyst in tetrahydrofuran (THF) gave the new silacyclopentanes 1,1-dimethyl-2,4-diphenyl-1-silacyclopentane (IIIa) and 1,1,2,4-tetramethyl-2,4-diphenyl-1-silacyclopentane (IIIb), respectively. These silacyclopentanes were found to exist as cis-trans mixtures. The use of sodium metal in place of NaOMe afforded similar results. Reactions of a polysilane mixture, MeO-(SiMe2)nOMe (n ≧ 3), with the styrenes also gave similar results. In some cases, polysilacycloalkanes such as 1,2,3-trisilacyclopentanes (IV) and 1,2,3,4-tetrasilacyclohexanes (V) were obtained as by-products. A mechanism for the formation of the silacyclopentanes and polysilacycloalkanes is presented. It was found that electron impact decomposition of silacyclopentanes IIIa and IIIb, trisilacycloalkane IV and tetrasilacycloalkane V gave molecular ions corresponding to the silacyclopropane, cyclotrisilane and cyclotetrasilane systems.  相似文献
