Herein we report on an analytical study of dry-shredded lithium-ion battery (LIB) materials with unknown composition. Samples from an industrial recycling process were analyzed concerning the elemental composition and (organic) compound speciation. Deep understanding of the base material for LIB recycling was obtained by identification and analysis of transition metal stoichiometry, current collector metals, base electrolyte and electrolyte additive residues, aging marker molecules and polymer binder fingerprints. For reversed engineering purposes, the main electrode and electrolyte chemistries were traced back to pristine materials. Furthermore, possible lifetime application and accompanied aging was evaluated based on target analysis on characteristic molecules described in literature. With this, the reported analytics provided precious information for value estimation of the undefined spent batteries and enabled tailored recycling process deliberations. The comprehensive feedstock characterization shown in this work paves the way for targeted process control in LIB recycling processes. 相似文献

Tetramethylaluminato/halogenido(X) ligand exchange reactions in half-sandwich complexes [CpRLa(AlMe4)2] are feasible in non-coordinating solvents and provide access to large coordination clusters of the type [CpRLaX2]x. Incomplete exchange reactions generate the hexalanthanum clusters [CpR6La6X8(AlMe4)4] (CpR=Cp*=C5Me5, X=I; CpR=Cp′=C5H4SiMe3, X=Br, I). Treatment of [Cp*La(AlMe4)2] with two equivalents Me3SiI gave the nonalanthanum cluster [Cp*LaI2]9, while the exhaustive reaction of [Cp′La(AlMe4)2] with the halogenido transfer reagents Me3GeX and Me3SiX (X=I, Br, Cl) produced a series of monocyclopentadienyl rare-earth-metal clusters with distinct nuclearity. Depending on the halogenido ion size the homometallic clusters [Cp′LaCl2]10 and [Cp′LaX2]12 (X=Br, I) could be isolated, whereas different crystallization techniques led to the aggregation of clusters of distinct structural motifs, including the desilylated cyclopentadienyl-bridged cluster [(μ-Cp)2Cp′8La8I14] and the heteroaluminato derivative [Cp′10La10Br18(AlBr2Me2)2]. Salt metathesis of 1-methyl-2,4,6-triphenylphosphacyclohexadienyl lithium and chlorobis(pentafluorophenyl)borane affords a 1-phospha-7-bora-norbornadiene derivative 2 . The C≡N triple bonds of nitriles insert into the P−B bond of 2 with concomitant C−B bond cleavage, whereas the C≡C bonds of phenylacetylenes react with 2 to form λ4-phosphabarrelenes. Even though 2 must formally be regarded as a classical Lewis adduct, the C≡N and C≡C activation processes observed (and the mild conditions under which they occur) are reminiscent of the reactivity of frustrated Lewis pairs. Indeed, NMR and computational studies give insight into the mechanism of the reactions and reveal the labile nature of the phosphorus–boron bond in 2 , which is also suggested by detailed NMR spectroscopic studies on this compound. Nitrile insertion is thus preceded by ring opening of the bicycle of 2 through P−B bond splitting with a low energy barrier. By contrast, the reaction with alkynes involves formation of a reactive zwitterionic methylphosphininium borate intermediate, which readily undergoes alkyne 1,4-addition. 相似文献

The efficacy of photodynamic therapy (PDT) with 5-aminolevulinate and methyl aminolevulinate in the treatment of actinic keratosis has been demonstrated in a large number of clinical studies over the last several years. Here, we recapitulate the major findings, comparing the various photosensitizers, light sources and therapeutic regimens, and present a retrospective analysis of 142 own cases treated with 259 PDTs. In addition, we also discuss the value of PDT in comparison with cryotherapy or 5-fluorouracil. The efficacy and the low risk of side effects of PDT have resulted in a high patient preference in clinical trials. 相似文献

In the course of this investigation, a method for the characterization and differentiation of paper pulps was developed. After hydrolyzation of the papers and the respective raw pulps with trifluoroacetic acid, the hydrolyzates were analyzed with respect to their carbohydrate composition using ion exchange chromatography. The variations in carbohydrate composition mainly arise from the various hemicelluloses of the papers and pulps. Understanding the conformation, orientation, and specific activity of proteins bound to surfaces is crucial for the development and optimization of highly specific and sensitive biosensors. In this study, the very efficient enzyme beta-lactamase is used as a model protein. The wild-type form was genetically engineered by site-directed mutagenesis to introduce single cysteine residues on the surface of the enzyme. The cysteine thiol group is subsequently biotinylated with a dithiothreitol (DTT)-cleavable biotinylation reagent. beta-Lactamase is then immobilized site-specifically via the biotin group on neutral avidin-covered surfaces with the aim to control the orientation of the enzyme molecule at the surface and study its effect on enzymatic activity using Nitrocefin as the substrate. The DTT-cleavable spacer allows the release of the specifically bound enzyme from the surface. Immobilization of the enzyme is performed on a monolayer of the polycationic, biotinylated polymer PLL-g-PEG/PEG-biotin assembled on niobium oxide (Nb2O5) surfaces via neutral avidin as the docking site. Two different assembly protocols, the sequential adsorption of avidin and biotinylated beta-lactamase and the immobilization of preformed complexes of beta-lactamase and avidin, are compared in terms of immobilization efficiency. In situ optical waveguide lightmode spectroscopy and colorimetric analysis of enzymatic activity were used to distinguish between specific and unspecific enzyme adsorption, to sense quantitatively the amount of immobilized enzyme, and to determine Michaelis-Menten kinetics. All tested enzyme variants turned out to be active upon immobilization at the polymeric surface. However, the efficiency of immobilized enzymes relative to the soluble enzymes was reduced about sevenfold, mainly because of impaired substrate (Nitrocefin) diffusion or restricted accessibility of the active site. No significant effect of different enzyme orientations could be detected, probably because the enzymes were attached to the surface through long, flexible PEG chain linkers. 相似文献
