Untersuchung verschiedener Elektronenemissionsprozesse auf Mehrfachemission

A comparison of the pulse hight distribution of several electron emission processes is drawn. Thermionic electrons, photoelectrons, field electrons and exoelectrons are found to be emitted as single electrons.     

Zur Auswertung flammenspektrometrischer Absorptionsmessungen nach dem Quotientenverfahren

Zusammenfassung Es wird festgestellt, unter welchen Voraussetzungen die Auswertung flammenspektrometrischer Absorptionsmessungen nach dem Quotientenverfahren zulässig ist. Danach wird der relative Fehler der Konzentrationsermittlung berechnet, wenn man das Steigungsmaß der Eichgeraden willkürlich zu 1 annimmt. Für die annähernde Ermittlung bzw. Kontrolle des Steigungsmaßes wird ein einfaches Verfahren angegeben sowie der relative Fehler dieser Bestimmung.

Summary The presuppositions for the evaluation of flame photometric absorption measurements by the quotient method are examined. The relative error of the concentration is calculated for an arbitrary value = 1 of the gradient of the calibration curve. A simple method is described for the approximate determination and control of the gradient and the relative error of this determination is given.

Gamma-ray competition with neutron emission in the decay of 137I

Gamma-rays with energies above the neutron binding energy in ¹³⁷Xe have been observed at 3907 and 3994 keV in the decay of ¹³⁷I. Their combined intensity amounts to about 25% of the delayed neutron intensity and demonstrates that γ-ray widths are an important factor in defining the magnitude and energy distribution of the delayed neutron spectrum.

Theoretical Treatment of Nonstationary Scattering by Phonons and Polaritons Part II. Transient Raman Scattering by Polaritons and Dipole Active Phonons

The stimulated Raman scattering by polaritons and phonons generated by the fluctuations of the crystal vibrations is investigated for the transient regime. The transient gain and the scattering energy is given for the case of retarded or advanced Stokes and polariton pulses in relation to the laser pulse. Moreover, the influence of phase modulation of the laser pulse on the transient SRS by polaritons is discussed.
