The microwave spectra of the natural substance coumarin, a planar aromatic molecule with the specific scent of maibowle, a popular fruit punch served in spring and early summer, were recorded using a molecular jet Fourier transform microwave spectrometer working in the frequency range from 4.0 to 26.5 GHz. The rotational constants and centrifugal distortion constants were determined with high precision, reproducing the spectra to experimental accuracy. The spectra of all singly-substituted 13C and 18O isotopologues were observed in their natural abundances to determine the experimental heavy atom substitution rs and semi-experimental equilibrium reSE structures. The experimental bond lengths and bond angles were compared to those obtained from quantum chemical calculations and those of related molecules reported in the literature with benzene as the prototype. The alternation of the C−C bond lengths to the value of 1.39 Å found for benzene reflects the localization of π electrons in coumarin, where the benzene ring and the lactone-like chain −CH=CH−(C=O)−O− are fused. The large, negative inertial defect of coumarin is consistent with out-of-plane vibrations of the fused rings. 相似文献

Molecular functions depend on conformations and motions of the corresponding molecular species. An air–water interface is a suitable asymmetric field for the control of molecular conformations and motions under a small applied force. In this work, double‐paddled binuclear PtII complexes containing pyrazole rings linked by alkyl spacers were synthesized and their orientations and emission properties dynamically manipulated at the air–water interface. The complexes emerge from water with concurrent variation of interface orientation of the planes of the PtII complexes from perpendicular to parallel during mechanical compression suggesting a unique ‘submarine emission‘. Phosphorescence of the complexes is quenched at the air–water interface prior to monolayer formation with intensities subsequently rapidly increasing during monolayer compression. These results indicate that asymmetric reactions and motions might be controlled by applying mechanical force at the air–water interface. 相似文献

The spin-orbit coupling constants of BH+ and CH have been calculated using ab initio molecular SCF wavefunctions with the gaussian lobe function basis set. instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA). Five biological certified reference materials, NIST SRM were used for analytical

We show theoretically that in quantum wells subjected to a strong magnetic field the intersubband current peaks at magnetic field values, which reveal the underlying specific intersubband scattering mechanism. We have designed and grown a superlattice structure in which such current oscillations are clearly visible, and in which the transition from the purely single-electron to the mixed single- and two-electron scattering regimes can be observed by tuning the applied voltage bias. The measurements were conducted in ultrahigh magnetic fields (up to 45 T) to obtain the full spectrum of the current oscillations. 相似文献

Fiber couplers made with photonic crystal fibers (PCF) are reported. Two types of PCF were fabricated by means of stacking a group of silica tubes around a silica rod and drawing them. The fiber couplers were made by use of the fused biconical tapered method. With a fiber that had five hexagonally stacked layers of air holes, a 33/67 coupling ratio was obtained, and with a one-layer four-hole fiber, a 48/52 coupling ratio was obtained. A curtain-type airbag is a safety device designed to protect passengers from the side collisions of a car. The curtain-type
airbag system consists of an inflator, a fill-hose, and a curtain-airbag. The fill-hose is a passageway and distributor of
the exploded gases from the inflator to the airbag through vent-holes. Although the design of vent-holes is important for
proper deployment of the airbag, it is very difficult to measure the exceedingly high speed flow issuing from the vent-holes
by using conventional measurement methods. In this study, we employed a dynamic PIV technique to measure the temporal evolution
of instantaneous velocity fields of the flow ejecting from the vent-holes. From the velocity field data measured at a frame
rate of 2000 fps, the temporal variation of the volume flux from vent-holes was also evaluated for the diagnosis of airbag
performance. The flows ejecting from the vent-holes showed high velocity fluctuations, and the maximum velocity was about
480 m/s. The instantaneous velocity fields in the initial stage showed a swaying motion of a high-speed jet. The accumulated
volume flux from the vent-holes was also compared at each vent-hole region. 相似文献
