We demonstrate theoretically that laser-induced coherent quantum interference control of asymptotic states of dissociating molecules is possible--even in the (one-photon) weak-field limit starting from a single vibrational eigenstate--when resonances are in play. This is illustrated for the NaI molecule, where it is shown that the probability of observing atomic fragments as well as the distribution of their relative momenta can be changed by a phase modulated pulse with a fixed bandwidth. This type of control is restricted to finite times during the indirect fragmentation.  相似文献

The radicals formed by radiation in 2-thiobarbituric acid single crystals have been studied by E.S.R. spectroscopy. The main radical is formed by abstraction of one of the protons bonded to C5. The electronic structure of this radical has been compared to that of the related radical formed in ordinary barbituric acid. Both the experimental data as well as the MO calculations show that when oxygen is substituted by sulphur the isotropic proton splitting is reduced and the g-value anisotropy increased. This is explained by a transfer of unpaired spin density from C5 to the sulphur atom.  相似文献

A total of 4302 healthy blood donors were screened for elevated serum ferritin and transferrin saturation. Fifteen had increased serum ferritin at a follow-up examination. Five relatives of these donors also entered the study. Eleven patients had elevated liver iron concentrations, while five had normal liver iron concentrations. The R2 relaxation rate in the liver was first measured with a conventional multi-spin-echo imaging sequence, and then by a volume-selective spectroscopic multi-spin-echo sequence, in order to achieve a minimum echo time of 4 msec. No correlation was found between the relaxation rate R2 and the liver iron concentration, when R2 was calculated from the imaging data. Multi-exponential transverse relaxation could be resolved when the spectroscopic sequence was used. A strong correlation between the initial slope of the relaxation curve and the liver iron concentration was found (r = 0.90, p < 0.001). Signal intensity ratios between liver and muscle were calculated from the first three echoes in the multi-echo imaging sequence, and from a gradient echo sequence. A strong correlation between the logarithm of the signal intensity ratios and the liver iron concentration was found. Although both spectroscopic T2 relaxation time measurements and signal intensity ratios could be used to quantify liver iron concentration, the gradient echo imaging seemed to be the best choice. Gradient echo imaging could be performed during a single breath hold, so motion artifacts could be avoided. The accuracy of liver iron concentration estimates from signal intensity ratios in the gradient echo images was about 35%.  相似文献

We consider the parallel computation of flows of integral viscoelastic fluids on a heterogeneous network of workstations. The proposed methodology is relevant to computational mechanics problems which involve a compute-intensive treatment of internal variables (e.g. fibre suspension flow and deformation of viscoplastic solids). The main parallel computing issue in such applications is that of load balancing. Both static and dynamic allocation of work to processors are considered in the present paper. The proposed parallel algorithms have been implemented in an experimental, parallel version of the commercial POLYFLOW package developed in Louvain-la-Neuve. The implementation uses the public domain PVM software library (Parallel Virtual Machine), which we have extended in order to ease porting to heterogeneous networks. We describe parallel efficiency results obtained with three PVM configurations, involving up to seven workstations with maximum relative processing speeds of five. The physical problems are the stick/slip and abrupt contraction flows of a K.B.K.Z. integral fluid. Using static allocation, parallel efficiencies in the range 67%–85% were obtained on a PVM network with four workstations having relative speeds of 2:1:1:1. Parallel efficiencies higher than 90% were obtained on the three PVM configurations using the dynamic load-balancing schemes.  相似文献

The aqueous solution chemistry of niobium is rather unexplored, and well characterized aqua complexes are scarce. In this work, a new niobium aqua ion is obtained upon treatment of Zn-reduced ethanolic solutions of NbCl5 with HCl in the presence of a sulfide source. The red aqua ion, obtained upon cation-exchange chromatography, forms readily the thiocyanate complex which has been crystallized as Cs(4.26)Na(1.74)[Nb4SO5(NCS)10] . 0.33H2O. X-ray crystallography revealed an unprecedented metal-metal bonded tetranuclear Nb4(mu4-S)(mu2-O)5(4+) core with a capping mu4-S ligand.  相似文献

A completely regular space X is called nearly pseudocompact if υX?X is dense in βX?X, where βX is the Stone-?ech compactification of X and υX is its Hewitt realcompactification. After characterizing nearly pseudocompact spaces in a variety of ways, we show that X is nearly pseudocompact if it has a dense locally compact pseudocompact subspace, or if no point of X has a closed realcompact neighborhood. Moreover, every nearly pseudocompact space X is the union of two regular closed subsets X1, X2 such that Int X1 is locally compact, no points of X2 has a closed realcompact neighborhood, and Int(X1?X2)=?. It follows that a product of two nearly pseudocompact spaces, one of which is locally compact, is also nearly pseudocompact.  相似文献

An improved phosphoramidite method is described to prepare oligonucleotides modified with the acyclic, achiral monomers 1. Examination of dimers, prepared on solid support or in solution, showed that phosphortriester dimers containing the allylic unit 1 were unstable towards bases, whereas phosphordiester dimers were stable. Phosphordiester dimers were obtained by replacing cyanoethyl phosphoramidites 2 with phosphoramidites 3, which gave phosphordiesters directly upon oxidation. The phosphordiester dimers were found to be stable towards capping and oxidation, but were somewhat labile towards acids. By reducing the contact time to acids during detritylation it was possible to prepare oligonucleotides containing 4 or 8 modified A, G or T units. The modified oligonucleotides hybridized to complementary DNA and RNA, although with reduced affinity (DeltaT(m) per modification -1 to -5 degrees C).  相似文献

Abstract

Some tracks are obtained in several plastics using an organic solvent track etching procedure. The described results are those obtained with ethyl alcohol. The samples (PMMA) are submitted to pure alcohol effect then to water effect. By this way one can get 6 MeV α-tracks but the phenomenon is not reproducible.
