A Step Tunable External Cavity Semiconductor Laser for WDM Network Deployment

We put forward a kind of tunable external cavity semiconductor laser with feedback on both chip facets. It outputs the single-frequency laser with high side-mode suppression ratio and the frequency could be step tuned.     

Effects of a novel ultrasound contrast agent with long persistence on right ventricular pressure: Comparison with SonoVue

This work investigated the effect of infusion of a self-made ultrasound contrast agent with long persistence (named ZHIFUXIAN) on rat right ventricular pressure and made a preliminary evaluation on the relative safety of the novel microbubbles. Normal saline, SonoVue and ZHIFUXIAN were injected through caudal vein at the total volume of 0.5 ml for each injection. The right ventricular systolic pressure (RVSP) and end-diastolic pressure (RVEDP) were monitored and the changes of the pressure were compared with baseline readings. RVSP increased when saline, SonoVue or ZHIFUXIAN were injected, the greatest change being after SonoVue (about 2 mm Hg), but there was no statistical significance compared with baseline (P > 0.05). There was no significant difference in RVSP between saline, SonoVue and ZHIFUXIAN at any time point. Also, there was no significant difference in RVEDP between groups at each time point and between different time points in each group. The results indicate that the self-made microbubbles effect on right ventricular hemodynamics is equivalent to that of normal saline at the same volume needed for effective enhanced imaging, demonstrating that it does not produce changes in right ventricular blood pressure under the study conditions. Pathological examination also showed it had no obvious influence on lung, liver and kidney.     

Characterizations of Tb:Zn2SiO4 films on silicon wafer prepared by sol-gel dip-coating and solid-phase reaction

Terbium-doped Zn_2SiO_4 films were successfully prepared on Si wafers by a simple sol-gel dip-coating and solid-phase reaction method of ZnO and SiO_2. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and UV－Vis absorption results revealed that films processed below 850℃ were ZnO in wurzite structure, and films processed above 850℃ were Zn_2SiO_4 in wellimite structure. Photoluminescence measurements of the Tb-doped Zn_2SiO_4 films showed two strong emission bands at 490 and 545nm. The photoluminescence lifetime was 4.6ms.     

A numerical investigation of the evolution of 2-D disturbances in hypersonic boundary layers and the effect on the flow structure due to the existence of shocklets

The evolution of 2-D disturbances in hypersonic boundary layer with Mach number 6,8, and 10 was investigated numerically by three different numerical schemes. At the entrance, second mode T-S waves with different amplitudes were introduced, and the relation between the Mach number and the amplitude of the disturbance when shocklets started to appear was investigated. By comparing the disturbance velocity profiles with those provided by linear stability theory, the effects of shocklets on flow structures were also investigated.     

基于近红外光谱技术的人体血糖浓度无创检测系统的研制

开发了一种小型化人体血糖浓度无创检测系统,该系统可实现人体血糖浓度的快速、实时、无创检测,主要由嵌入式系统、夹具、光源系统和微型光栅光谱仪四部分组成。提出了一种光源稳压驱动电路方案,可满足多种光谱采集条件对光源的要求。同时提出了一种一体化夹具设计方案,不仅简化了系统的光学结构,而且提高了测量条件的可重复性。分别用小波去噪和核偏最小二乘法对采集的光谱数据进行预处理和数学建模,并对系统进行性能评价,血糖浓度预测值与标准值的相关系数为0.95,预测均方根误差为0.6mmol.L-1,系统的重复性较好。     

Selective image encryption using a spatiotemporal chaotic system

A universal selective image encryption algorithm, in which the spatiotemporal chaotic system is utilized, is proposed to encrypt gray-level images. In order to resolve the tradeoff between security and performance, the effectiveness of selective encryption is discussed based on simulation results. The scheme is then extended to encrypt RGB color images. Security analyses for both scenarios show that the proposed schemes achieve high security and efficiency.     

On the Algebraic Index for Riemannian Étale Groupoids

In this paper, we construct an explicit quasi-isomorphism to study the cyclic cohomology of a deformation quantization over a Riemannian étale groupoid. Such a quasi-isomorphism allows us to propose a general algebraic index problem for Riemannian étale groupoids. We discuss solutions to that index problem when the groupoid is proper or defined by a constant Dirac structure on a 3-dimensional torus.     

Optical wavelet de-noising applied in multi-span nonlinear fiber links

In this work, optical wavelet de-noising with several different types of wavelets such as db4, coif4 and dmey wavelet was applied at the end of the 40 Gbit/s multi-span intensity-modulated fiber communication systems. The results of numerical simulations carried out in different fiber links demonstrated that the optical wavelet de-noising method could remove the random amplitude fluctuation induced by the interaction of EDFA’s ASE noise and optical fiber’s dispersion and nonlinearity. The SNR and BER curves of the optical bit sequence without and with optical wavelet de-noising in dispersion compensation fiber link were plotted to show the effectiveness of the wavelet de-noising in the fiber-optic communication systems and wavelet de-noising with demy wavelet can achieve better result than with other type wavelet.
