Background  

Two main genes encoding the catalytic subunits Cα and Cβ of cyclic AMP dependent protein kinase (PKA) have been identified in all vertebrates examined. The murine, bovine and human Cβ genes encode several splice variants, including the splice variant Cβ2. In mouse Cβ2 has a relative molecular mass of 38 kDa and is only expressed in the brain. In human and bovine Cβ2 has a relative molecular mass of 47 kDa and is mainly expressed in lymphoid tissues.  相似文献

Inclusion is the meaningful participation of students with disabilities in general education classrooms. The CLASS project (Creating Laboratory Access for Science Students) is a unique initiative offering training and resources to help educators provide students with a variety of physical, sensory and learning disabilities equal access in the science laboratory or field. To determine whether participants believed a 2‐week residential workshop sponsored by CLASS raised disability awareness and provided teacher training in inclusive science teaching practice, a multipoint Likert scale survey and questionnaire was completed by all participants (N= 20) in four workshops. Participants reported large gains in their preparedness to teach science to students with disabilities. Participants also reported gains in their familiarity with instructional strategies, curricula, and resources and their ability to design, select, and modify activities for students with disabilities. Finally, shifts in attitudes about teaching science to students with disabilities were noted.  相似文献

Asymmetric transfer hydrogenation (ATH) is an important process in organic synthesis for which the Noyori‐type RuII catalysts [(arene)Ru(Tsdiamine)] are now well established and widely used. We now demonstrate for the first time the catalytic activity of the osmium analogues. X‐ray crystal structures of the 16‐electron OsII catalysts are almost identical to those of RuII. Intriguingly the precursor complex was isolated as a dichlorido complex with a monodentate amine ligand. The OsII catalysts are readily synthesised (within 1 h) and exhibit excellent enantioselectivity in ATH reactions of ketones.  相似文献

In this work, we describe the efficient use of improved directions of negative curvature for the solution of bound-constrained nonconvex problems. We follow an interior-point framework, in which the key point is the inclusion of computational low-cost procedures to improve directions of negative curvature obtained from a factorisation of the KKT matrix. From a theoretical point of view, it is well known that these directions ensure convergence to second-order KKT points. As a novelty, we consider the convergence rate of the algorithm with exploitation of negative curvature information. Finally, we test the performance of our proposal on both CUTEr/st and simulated problems, showing empirically that the enhanced directions affect positively the practical performance of the procedure.  相似文献

We are concerned with the existence of infinitely many solutions for the problem \(-\Delta u=|u|^{p-2}u+f\) in \(\Omega \), \(u=u_0\) on \(\partial \Omega \), where \(\Omega \) is a bounded domain in \(\mathbb {R}^N\), \(N\ge 3\). This can be seen as a perturbation of the problem with \(f=0\) and \(u_0=0\), which is odd in u. If \(\Omega \) is invariant with respect to a closed strict subgroup of O(N), then we prove infinite existence for all functions f and \(u_0\) in certain spaces of invariant functions for a larger range of exponents p than known before. In order to achieve this, we prove Lieb–Cwikel–Rosenbljum-type bounds for invariant potentials on \(\Omega \), employing improved Sobolev embeddings for spaces of invariant functions.  相似文献

A series of neutral oxamato‐bridged heterobimetallic chains of general formula [MCu(Lx)2(S)2] ? p S ? q H2O [p=0–1, q=0–2.5; L1=N‐2,6‐dimethylphenyloxamate, S=DMF with M=Mn ( 1 a ) and Co ( 1 b ); L2=N‐2,6‐diethylphenyloxamate, S=DMF with M=Mn ( 2 a ) and Co ( 2 b ) or S=DMSO with M=Mn ( 2 c ) and Co ( 2 d ); L3=N‐2,6‐diisopropylphenyloxamate, S=DMF with M=Mn ( 3 a ) and Co ( 3 b ) or S=DMSO with M=Mn ( 3 c ) and Co ( 3 d )] were prepared by treating the corresponding anionic oxamatocopper(II) complexes [Cu(Lx)2]2? (x=1–3) with M2+ cations (M=Mn and Co) in DMF or DMSO as the solvent. The single‐crystal X‐ray structures of 2 a and 3 a reveal the occurrence of well‐isolated, zigzag, oxamato‐bridged manganese(II)–copper(II) chains. The intrachain Cu ??? Mn distances across the oxamato bridge are 5.3761(7) and 5.4002(17) Å for 2 a and 3 a , respectively, whereas the shortest interchain Mn ??? Mn distances are 9.4475(16) and 8.1649(14) Å for 2 a and 3 a , respectively. All of these MIICuII chains (M=Mn and Co) exhibit 1D ferrimagnetic behaviour with moderately strong intrachain antiferromagnetic coupling between the square‐planar CuII and octahedral high‐spin MII ions across the oxamato bridge [?J=31.4–35.2 and 33.4–44.8 cm?1, respectively; H =∑i?J S M,i( S Cu,i+ S Cu,i?1)]. Only the CoIICuII chains show slow magnetic relaxation effects characteristic of single‐chain magnets (SCMs). Analysis of the magnetic relaxation dynamics of 3 d shows a thermally activated mechanism (Arrhenius law dependence) with values of the pre‐exponential factor (τ0=2.6×10?9 s) and activation energy (Ea=7.7 cm?1) that are typical of SCMs. In contrast, two relaxation regimes are observed for 2 d in different temperature regions (τ0=3.2×10?10 s and Ea=24.7 cm?1 for T<4.5 K and τ0=3.2×10?14 s and Ea=37.5 cm?1 for T>4.5 K).  相似文献

Dried blood spot (DBS) technology is an emerging alternative for sample collection in bioanalysis. Dilution for DBS samples is a challenge due to its solid sample format. Currently, DBS samples requiring dilution were first extracted as regular samples and then diluted with extracted blank samples containing internal standard (IS). Since the dilution step is a volume-critical step, extra care has to be taken to achieve accurate dilution when dealing with limited volume extracted samples. Here, we introduce an alternative sample dilution for liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) assays using IS to track the dilution step. Dilution factor-adjusted IS working solution was first added to the sample requiring dilution before sample processing; subsequently, the processed sample was approximately diluted into the assay linear response range before LC/MS/MS analysis. We define this approach as "IS-tracked dilution". The advantage of this approach is that the diluting step is tracked by the IS and is no longer a volume-critical step. Another recognized challenge related to sample dilution is automatic sample dilution using a liquid handler. This "IS-tracked dilution" may also help address some of the challenges for automatic sample dilution of liquid samples. This new dilution approach was proven to be effective and convenient in both plasma assays and DBS assays using omeprazole as a probe compound.  相似文献

Flexible and biodegradable film substrates prepared by solvent casting from poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) (PHBHV) solutions in chloroform were microperforated by ultraviolet laser ablation and subsequently characterized using infrared (IR) microspectroscopy and imaging techniques and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Both transmission synchrotron IR microspectroscopy and attenuated total reflectance microspectroscopy measurements demonstrate variations in the polymer at the ablated pore rims, including evidence for changes in chemical structure and crystallinity. SEM results on microperforated PHBHV substrates after cell culture demonstrated that the physical and chemical changes observed in the biomaterial did not hinder cell migration through the pores.  相似文献

Self-assembly of the rigid rodlike ligand N,N'-4,4'-diphenylethynebis(oxamate) (dpeba) and Cu(2+) ions affords a novel dinuclear copper(II) metallacyclophane (nBu(4)N)(4)[Cu(2)(dpeba)(2)]·4MeOH·2Et(2)O (1) featuring a very long intermetallic distance (r = 15.0 ?). Magnetic susceptibility measurements for 1 reveal a moderately weak but nonnegligible intramolecular antiferromagnetic coupling between the two metal centers across the double para-substituted diphenylethynediamidate bridge (J = -3.9 cm(-1); H = -JS(1)S(2), where S(1) = S(2) = S(Cu) = (1)/(2)). Density functional electronic structure calculations on 1 support the occurrence of a spin polarization mechanism.  相似文献

Various impregnated metallic salts on magnetite have been prepared, including cobalt, nickel, copper, ruthenium, and palladium salts, as well as a bimetallic palladium-copper derivative. Impregnated ruthenium catalyst is a versatile, inexpensive, and simple system for the selective N-monoalkylation of amino derivatives with poor nucleophilic character, such as aromatic and heteroaromatic amines, sulfonamides, sulfinamides, and nitroarenes, using in all cases alcohols as the initial source of the electrophile, through a hydrogen autotransfer process. In the case of sulfinamides, this is the first time that these amino compounds have been alkylated following this strategy, allowing the use of chiral sulfinamides and secondary alcohols to give the alkylated compound with a diastereomeric ratio of 92:8. In these cases, after alkylation, a simple acid deprotection gave the expected primary amines in good yields. The ruthenium catalyst is quite sensitive, and small modifications of the reaction medium can change the final product. The alkylation of amines using potassium hydroxide renders the N-monoalkylated amines, and the same protocol using sodium hydroxide yields the related imines. The catalyst can be easily removed by a simple magnet and can be reused up to ten times, showing the same activity.  相似文献
