The electrical properties of elastic alternating propylene-carbon monoxide copolymer (PCO-200) were investigated using the impedance spectroscopy technique. The results revealed a phase transition at about 70 °C where the material transforms from its insulating phase of conductivity in the order of 6×10−9 to about 9×10−5 (Ω m)−1, The second phase is characterized by temperature dependent electrical relaxation phenomena. The plot of the complex electric modulus and the complex impedance yields semicircles in the temperature range 70 up to 110 °C and a decreasing radius with increasing temperature. The activation energy was found to be in the order of 0.8 eV. 相似文献

This paper deals with the numerical solution of the integral equations of linear second kind Volterra–Fredholm. These integral equations are commonly used in engineering and mathematical physics to solve many of the problems. A hybrid of Bernstein and improved block-pulse functions method is introduced and used where the key point is to transform linear second-type Volterra–Fredholm integral equations into an algebraic equation structure that can be solved using classical methods. Dynamic mechanical measurements in tension and torsion on oriented tapes and monofilaments of a range of liquid crystalline polyesters have been combined with dielectric measurements to obtain a molecular understanding of the relaxation processes. This paper extends our previous work [1,2,3] on polyesters of hydroxybenzoic acid (HBA) and hydroxynaphthoic acid (HNA) to related polymers containing dihydroxynaphthalene (DHN) and terephthalic acid (TPA) or biphenyl (BP) and TPA in place of the HNA. It confirms the association of the β and γ processes with naphthyl and phenyl moieties but shows that the processes cannot be due simply to the independent motions of single units. 相似文献

The construction of a plasticised PVC matrix-type promazinium cation-selective membrane electrode and its use in the potentiometric
determination of promazine hydrochloride in pharmaceutical preparations are described. It is based on the use of the ion-associate
species, formed by promazinium cation and tetraphenylborate (TPB) counter ion. The basic electrode performance characteristics
are evaluated according to IUPAC recommendations. It exhibited a linear response for 1 × 10−2−1 × 10−5 M of promazine hydrochloride solutions with a cationic Nernstian slope over the pH range 2–6. Common organic and inorganic
cations showed negligible interference. Direct potentiometric determination of 1 × 10−2−1 × 10−5 M aqueous promazine hydrochloride using this membrane electrode system showed an average recovery of 99.5% with a mean standard
deviation of 1.5%. This electrode was successfully used for monitoring the titration of promazine hydrochloride with sodium
tetraphenyl borate and for determining promazine hydrochloride in ampoules.

In this paper we report the antimicrobial, antiradical and urease inhibitory potential along with photochemical investigation of the crude extracts of Cyphostemma digitatum Lam. Phytochemical screening of both the crude (hot/cold) alcoholic and aqueous extracts of C. digitatum showed the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, coumarins, steroids, terpenoids and tannins. The crude methanolic extract (hot/cold) exhibited good antioxidant activity, while the aqueous extract was a weak antioxidant. The crude methanolic extract was found to be more active against Bacillus subtilis, while both the extracts showed moderate antifungal potential, the methanolic crude extract showed good urease inhibitory activity compared with the aqueous crude extract. 相似文献

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease affecting the globe and its incidence is increasing pandemically. The use of plant-derived natural products for diabetes management is of great interest. Polar fraction of Artemisia annua L. leaves has shown antidiabetic activity in vivo. In the present study, three major compounds were isolated from this polar fraction; namely, 3,5-dicaffeoylquinic acid (1); 4,5-dicaffeoylquinic acid (2), and 3,4- dicaffeoylquinic acid methyl ester (3), using VLC-RP-18 and HPLC techniques. The potential protective effects of these compounds against diabetes and its complications were investigated by employing various in vitro enzyme inhibition assays. Furthermore, their antioxidant and wound healing effectiveness were evaluated. Results declared that these dicaffeoylquinic acids greatly inhibited DPPIV enzyme while moderately inhibited α-glucosidase enzyme, where compounds 1 and 3 displayed the most prominent effects. In addition, compound 3 showed pronounced inhibition of α-amylase enzyme. Moreover, these compounds markedly inhibited aldose reductase enzyme and exerted powerful antioxidant effects, among which compound 3 exhibited the highest activity implying a notable potentiality in impeding diabetes complications. Interestingly, compounds 2 and 3 moderately accelerated scratch wound healing. Our findings suggest that these dicaffeoylquinic acids can be promising therapeutic agents for managing diabetes and its complications. 相似文献

A very sensitive electrochemical stripping procedure for aluminum is reported. Accumulation is achieved by controlled adsorption of the aluminum/solochrome violet RS complex on the static mercury drop electrode. Optimal experimental parameters include an accumulation potential of ?0.45 V, solochrome violet RS concentration of 1 × 10?6 M, and a linear-scan stripping mode. The detection limit is 0.15 μg l?1, the response is linear over the 0–30 μg l?1 concentration range, and the relative standard deviation (at the 10 μg l?1 level) is 2%. Most cations do not interfere in the determination of aluminum. The interference of iron(III) is eliminated by addition of ascorbic acid. Results are reported for snow samples. 相似文献
