Synthesis of a novel macroinimer comprising poly(ε‐caprolactone) (PCL) and thiophene (Th) and its use in electrochromic device (ECD) application have been reported. First, a novel Th monomer ( 5 ) with miktofuntional initiator groups (primary hydroxyl and tertiary bromide at the third position of the thiophene ring) was synthesized in a four‐step reaction sequence. Density functional theory‐predicted bond lengths, angles, and vibrations of 5 were in good agreement with available experimental vibrational spectra. Subsequently, ring‐opening polymerization of ε‐caprolactone (ε‐CL) was carried out in bulk using 5 as the initiator and tin(II) 2‐ethylhexanoate (Sn(Oct)2) as the catalyst at 115 °C, which led to α‐thiophene end‐capped PCL macroinimer (PCL‐Th). Furthermore, PCL‐Th macroinimer was used in electrochemical copolymerization with pyrrole (Py) and Th. PCL‐Th/PTh copolymer film synthesized on indium tin oxide‐coated glass slide showed electrochromic behavior. Optical analyses of the PCL‐Th/PTh copolymer film indicated that the copolymer film was suitable to be used as an anodically coloring material for ECD applications. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Abstract

The novel S-, S,S-, and S,S,S-substituted nitrobutadienes were synthesized from the reactions of 2-nitrobutadiene compounds with some thiols. The new N,S-substituted nitrobutadienes were obtained from the reaction of the mono-thiosubstituted butadienes with morpholine, thiomorpholine, homopiperazine, and piperazine derivatives. The structures of new compounds were determined by spectroscopic techniques.

The novel substituted 2,3-dichloro-1,4-naphthoquinone derivatives were synthesized from the reactions of (1) and related nucleophilles in sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) solution of ethanol, chloroform with Et3N, or potassium carbonate (K2CO3) solution of acetonitrile. The structures of novel compounds were characterized by using microanalysis, Fourier transform–infrared, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass spectrometry, and cyclic voltammetry (CV).

In this paper, we deal with Bernstein-type operators defined by Cárdenas-Morales et al. as \({B_{n}(f \circ \tau^{-1}) \circ \tau}\), where \({B_{n}}\) is the nth Bernstein polynomial (Comput Math Appl 62(1):158–163, 2011). Assuming that \({\tau}\) and f are absolutely continuous functions on \({[0, 1]}\) and inf \({\tau ^{\prime} (x) \geq m > 0}\) as well as \({\tau (0) = 0}\) and \({\tau (1) = 1,}\) we study the convergence of Bernstein-type operators to f in variation seminorm. Moreover, we give a Voronovskaja-type formula and a Jackson-type estimate in the sense of Bardaro et al. (Analysis 23:299–340, 2003).  相似文献

The present paper is concerned with the approximation properties of discrete version of Picard operators. We first give exact equalities for the moments of the operators. In calculations of these moments, Eulerian numbers play a crucial role. We discuss convergence of these operators in weighted spaces and give Voronovskaya‐type asymptotic formula. The weighted approximation of the operators in quantitative mean in terms of different modulus of continuities is also considered. β‐Amyloid (Aβ) oligomers are neurotoxic and implicated in Alzheimer's disease. Neuronal plasma membranes may mediate formation of Aβ oligomers in vivo. Membrane components sphingomyelin and GM1 have been shown to promote aggregation of Aβ; however, these studies were performed under extreme, non‐physiological conditions. We demonstrate that physiological levels of GM1, organized in nanodomains do not seed oligomerization of Aβ40 monomers. We show that sphingomyelin triggers oligomerization of Aβ40 and that GM1 is counteractive thus preventing oligomerization. We propose a molecular explanation that is supported by all‐atom molecular dynamics simulations. The preventive role of GM1 in the oligomerization of Aβ40 suggests that decreasing levels of GM1 in the brain, for example, due to aging, could reduce protection against Aβ oligomerization and contribute to the onset of Alzheimer's disease.  相似文献

Kınkor (Ferulago stellata) is Turkish medicinal plant species and used in folk medicine against some diseases. As far as we know, the data are not available on the biological activities and chemical composition of this medicinal plant. In this study, the phytochemical composition; some metabolic enzyme inhibition; and antidiabetic, anticholinergic, and antioxidant activities of this plant were assessed. In order to evaluate the antioxidant activity of evaporated ethanolic extract (EEFS) and lyophilized water extract (WEFS) of kınkor (Ferulago stellata), some putative antioxidant methods such as DPPH· scavenging activity, ABTS•+ scavenging activity, ferric ions (Fe3+) reduction method, cupric ions (Cu2+) reducing capacity, and ferrous ions (Fe2+)-binding activities were separately performed. Furthermore, ascorbic acid, BHT, and α-tocopherol were used as the standard compounds. Additionally, the main phenolic compounds that are responsible for antioxidant abilities of ethanol and water extracts of kınkor (Ferulago stellata) were determined by liquid chromatography-high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS). Ethanol and water extracts of kınkor (Ferulago stellata) demonstrated effective antioxidant abilities when compared to standards. Moreover, ethanol extract of kınkor (Ferulago stellata) demonstrated IC50 values of 1.772 μg/mL against acetylcholinesterase (AChE), 33.56 ± 2.96 μg/mL against α-glycosidase, and 0.639 μg/mL against α-amylase enzyme respectively.  相似文献
