The ion exchange method was used to intercalate a poor water-soluble insecticide, isoprocarb into zinc layered hydroxide (ZLH). PXRD analysis indicated the successful intercalation with good crystallinity for the resulting nanocomposite, with a basal spacing of 33.1 Å. FTIR analyses showing the resemblance of an absorption peak of the nanocomposite with the host and the guest anion. The thermal analysis confirmed that the nanocomposite had better thermal stability compared to the pristine isoprocarb. The nanocomposite also characterized by elemental and surface morphology analysis. The surface analyses of the host and nanocomposite showed mesoporous-type material characteristics. On the whole, the intercalation process decreased the pore size of the nanocomposite compared to the pristine host, layered zinc layered hydroxide-sodium dodecyl sulphate (ZLH-SDS). The obtained material is believed has a great potential as an environmentally friendly insecticide.  相似文献

The activity concentrations of 226Ra, 228Ra and 222Rn were measured in 87 groundwater samples to estimate the activity concentrations of these radionuclides and health impact due to intake of these radionuclides in groundwater of Jordan. The mean activity concentrations of 226Ra, 228Ra and 222Rn in groundwater were found to be 0.293?±?0.005 Bq L?1, 0.508?±?0.009 Bq L?1 and 58.829?±?8.824 Bq L?1, respectively. They give a mean annual effective dose of 0.481 mSv with mean lifetime risk of 24.599?×?10?4, exceeding the admissible limit of 10?4. Most of the received annual effective dose (59.15% of the total) is attributed to 228Ra.

Hoogsteen DNA base pairs (bps) are an alternative base pairing to canonical Watson–Crick bps and are thought to play important biochemical roles. Hoogsteen bps have been reported in a handful of X‐ray structures of protein–DNA complexes. However, there are several examples of Hoogsteen bps in crystal structures that form Watson–Crick bps when examined under solution conditions. Furthermore, Hoogsteen bps can sometimes be difficult to resolve in DNA:protein complexes by X‐ray crystallography due to ambiguous electron density and by solution‐state NMR spectroscopy due to size limitations. Here, using infrared spectroscopy, we report the first direct solution‐state observation of a Hoogsteen (G–C+) bp in a DNA:protein complex under solution conditions with specific application to DNA‐bound TATA‐box binding protein. These results support a previous assignment of a G–C+ Hoogsteen bp in the complex, and indicate that Hoogsteen bps do indeed exist under solution conditions in DNA:protein complexes.  相似文献

Background: This study investigates the effect of tannic acid (TA) combined with pamidronate (PAM) on a human osteoblast cell line. Methods: EC50 for TA, PAM, and different combination ratios of TA and PAM (25:75, 50:50, 75:25) were measured by 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. The combination index value was utilized to analyze the degree of drug interaction, while trypan blue assay was applied to analyze the cells proliferation effect. The mineralization and detection of bone BSP and Osx genes were determined via histochemical staining and PCR test, respectively. Results: The EC50 of osteoblasts treated with TA and a 75:25 ratio of TA and PAM were more potent with lower EC50 at 0.56 µg/mL and 0.48 µg/mL, respectively. The combination of TA and PAM (75:25) was shown to have synergistic interaction. On Day 7, both TA and PAM groups showed significantly increased proliferation compared with control and combination groups. On Day 7, both the TA and combination-treated groups demonstrated a higher production of calcium deposits than the control and PAM-treated groups. Moreover, on Day 7, the combination-treated group showed a significantly higher expression of BSP and Osx genes than both the TA and PAM groups. Conclusion: Combination treatment of TA and PAM at 75:25 ameliorated the highest enhancement of osteoblast proliferation and mineralization as well as caused a high expression of BSP and Osx genes.  相似文献

Research on flow and heat transfer of hybrid nanofluids has gained great significance due to their efficient heat transfer capabilities.In fact,hybrid nanofluids are a novel type of fluid designed to enhance heat transfer rate and have a wide range of engineering and industrial applications.Motivated by this evolution,a theoretical analysis is performed to explore the flow and heat transport characteristics of Cu/Al2O3 hybrid nanofluids driven by a stretching/shrinking geometry.Further,this work focuses on the physical impacts of thermal stratification as well as thermal radiation during hybrid nanofluid flow in the presence of a velocity slip mechanism.The mathematical modelling incorporates the basic conservation laws and Boussinesq approximations.This formulation gives a system of governing partial differential equations which are later reduced into ordinary differential equations via dimensionless variables.An efficient numerical solver,known as bvp4c in MATLAB,is utilized to acquire multiple(upper and lower)numerical solutions in the case of shrinking flow.The computed results are presented in the form of flow and temperature fields.The most significant findings acquired from the current study suggest that multiple solutions exist only in the case of a shrinking surface until a critical/turning point.Moreover,solutions are unavailable beyond this turning point,indicating flow separation.It is found that the fluid temperature has been impressively enhanced by a higher nanoparticle volume fraction for both solutions.On the other hand,the outcomes disclose that the wall shear stress is reduced with higher magnetic field in the case of the second solution.The simulation outcomes are in excellent agreement with earlier research,with a relative error of less than 1%.  相似文献

α-Cyanoenamines have been prepared in high yield by the reaction of α-chloroaldimines with potassium cyanide in methanol.
