Synthesis and comparative solution properties of single‐, twin‐, and triple‐tailed associating ionic polymers based on diallylammonium salts

The cycloterpolymerizations of single‐, twin‐, and triple‐tailed hydrophobes with hydrophilic monomer N,N‐diallyl‐N‐carboethoxymethylammonium chloride and sulfur dioxide afforded a series of cationic polyelectrolytes (CPEs) in excellent yields. These CPEs, upon the acidic hydrolysis of the pendent ester groups, gave the corresponding pH‐responsive cationic acid salts, which, upon a treatment with sodium hydroxide, were converted to polybetaines (PBs), anionic polyelectrolytes (APEs), and PB/APE polymers containing various proportions of zwitterionic (PB) and anionic fractions (APE) in the polymer chain. At a shear rate of 0.36 s⁻¹ at 30 °C, salt‐free water solutions of the CPEs (2 g/dL) containing 8, 4, and 2.67 mol % of the single‐, twin‐, and triple‐tailed hydrophobes (all having 8 mol % octyloxy tails) had apparent viscosity values of 70, 2800, and 396,000 cps, respectively. The PB/APE polymer with a ratio of 33:67 for the zwitterionic and anionic fractions in the polymer chain gave the highest viscosity value. The superior viscosity behavior of the polymers containing the triple‐tailed hydrophobe was attributed to the blocky nature of the comonomer. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 13.5—14.6MeV中子能区锗的同位素反应截面的测量

报道了在13.5—14.6MeV中子能区用活化法测得的⁷⁶Ge(n,2n)⁷⁵Ge, ⁷⁰Ge(n,2n)⁶⁹Ge, ⁷⁰Ge(n, p)⁷⁰Ga, ⁷²Ge(n,p)⁷²Ga, ⁷³Ge(n,p)⁷³Ga, ⁷²Ge(n,α)^69mZn和⁷⁴Ge(n, α)^71mZn的反应截面值. 中子注量用⁹³Nb(n,2n)^92mNb反应截面得到. 单能中子由T(d,n)⁴He反应获得. 同时还列举了已收集到的文献值以作比较.     

Design of Two-Dimensional Photonic Crystal Edge Emitting Laser for Photonic Integrated Circuits

An edge emitting laser based on two-dimensional photonic crystal slabs is proposed. The device consists of a square lattice microcavity, which is composed of two structures with the same period but different radius of air-holes, and a waveguide. In the cavity, laser resonance in the inner structure benefits from not only the anomalous dispersion characteristic of the first band-edge at the M point in the first Brillouin-zone but also zero photon states in the outer structure. A line defect waveguide is introduced in the outer structure for extracting photons from the inner cavity. Three-dimensional finite-difference time-domain simulations apparently show the in-plane laser output from the waveguide. The microcavity has an effective mode volume of about 3.2（λ/nslab）^3 for oscillation mode and the quality factor of the device including line defect waveguide is estimated to be as high as 1300.

对称双吡咯甲烷的合成与分子内氢键的研究

５－甲基吡咯－２－羧酸酯在磺酰氢，溴或四乙酸铅作用下，生成相应的在５－甲基上含取代基的产物，后者不经分离不便可自缩合得标题化合物，核磁共振氢谱研究和分子构象木匠，当３，３位的取代基为甲酸（酯）基或乙酸（酯）基时，可形成３，３位酯基与另一吡咯环上的氮氢之间的分子内氢键，而３，３位是其它取代基，如乙酰基，丙酸（酯）基，丁酸（酯）基时不能形成类似的分子内氢键。

Circles through two points that always enclose many points

This paper proves that any set of n points in the plane contains two points such that any circle through those two points encloses at least points of the set. INFLUENCE OF COMPOSITIONAL HETEROGENEITY ON MORPHOLOGY AND PROPERTIES OF SEGMENTED COPOLYMERS

Polyethylene terephthalate(PET)/polycaprolactone(PCL) segmented copolymers with different hard segment contents and a blend of two of them were studied by using DSC, WAXS, TEM and IR techniques and dynamic mechanical, stress-strain and isothermal crystallization measurements. Emphasis was laid on the studies of influence of compositional heterogeneity on the morphology and properties of these segmented copolymers. It was found that the solution cast specimens of the more heterogeneous sample exhibit better segregation of segments, high crystallinity and melting temperature. They have higher thermal stability of mechanical properties at small deformations. However, they are less stable against large deformations and may become softer than the more homogeneous ones.     

过氧铌杂多配合物位置异构体的合成、表征及催化性能

合成了6种钨硅杂多配合物异构体α、β_i-M₃H₂[SiW₁₁(NbO₂)O₃₉]·H₂O(M=Me₄N⁺(TMA),Bu₄N⁺(TBA),Et₄N⁺(TEA);β_i=β₁,β₂,β₃)。IR光谱、UV光谱、极谱、I^--S₂O₃^2-滴定证明合成的杂多配合物中有NbO₂基存在, ¹⁸³W NMR光谱证明其阴离子具有Keggin结构,催化实验结果表明,合成的化合物对烯烃环氧化反应具有催化活性,且过氧杂多配合物的催化活性高于非过氧杂多配合物,β异构体的催化活性高于α。
