Thin films of lanthanum-cerium hexaboride, the promising thermoelectric material for low-temperature applications, are deposited on various substrates by the electron-beam evaporation, pulsed laser deposition and magnetron sputtering. The influence of the deposition conditions on the films X-ray characteristics, composition, microstructure and physical properties, such as the resistivity and Seebeck coefficient, is studied. The preferred (100) orientation of all films is obtained from XRD traces. In the range of 780-800 °C deposition temperature the highest intensity of diffractions peaks and the highest degree of the preferred orientation are observed. The temperature dependence of the resistivity and the Seebeck coefficient of films are investigated in the temperature range of 4-300 K. The features appropriate to Kondo effect in the dependences ρ(T) and S(T) are detected at temperatures below 20 K. Interplay between the value of the Seebeck coefficient, metallic parameters and Kondo scattering of investigated films is discussed. 相似文献

The interaction of light with a layer of a chiral photonic crystal is considered. Features of the Borrmann effect at a strong anisotropy are studied. The natural polarizations are considered, and it is shown that in the limit δ << 1 (δ = (?1 ? ?2)/(?1 + ?2), where ?1 and ?2 are the principal values of the dielectric permittivity tensor in the plane perpendicular to the medium axis) these polarizations are orthogonal and quasi-circular, while in the limit δ >> 1 they are orthogonal but linearly polarized. It is established that in the general case the chiral photonic crystals show a complete selectivity not to the circular polarizations (as at δ << 1), but to the natural polarizations. 相似文献

It is well known that Korn inequality plays a central role in the theory of linear elasticity. In the present work we prove new asymptotically sharp Korn and Korn-like inequalities in thin curved domains with a non-constant thickness. This new results will be useful when studying the buckling of compressed shells, in particular when calculating the critical buckling load. 相似文献
