Based on the generic two-gluon-exchange dynamical mechanism for deeply inelastic scattering at low , we stress the intimate direct connection between the total virtual photoabsorption cross section, deeply virtual Compton scattering and vector-meson electroproduction. A simple expression for the cross section for deeply virtual Compton scattering is derived. Parameter-free predictions are obtained for deeply virtual Compton forward scattering and vector-meson forward production, once the parameters in the total virtual photoabsorption cross section are determined in a fit to the experimental data on deeply inelastic scattering. Our predictions are compared with the experimental data from HERA. Layered silica/surfactant mesostructured thin films containing chlorophyllous pigments [C13(2)-demethoxycarbonyl-pheophytin b (pyroPheo b) or zinc C13(2)-demethoxycarbonyl-chlorophyll b (Zn-pyroChl b)] have been prepared on an indium tin oxide (ITO) electrode grafted with a chlorophyll derivative possessing a triethoxysilyl group (copper C13(2)-demethoxycarbonyl-chlorophyllide a 3-triethoxysilyl propylamide, Cu-APTES-Chl a) to achieve effective light harvesting and successive photocurrent generation by the mesostructured films. The incorporation of pyroPheo b and Zn-pyroChl b in the mesostructured film resulted in 1.2- and 1.6-fold increases of the photocurrent density, respectively, as compared to the case of an antenna pigment-free film also grafted to a surface-modified ITO electrode. The difference action spectra, between the electrodes with and without the antenna pigments, coincided well with the absorption spectra of the immobilized pigments. Because direct electron injection from the antenna pigments in the mesostructured films to the ITO electrode was scarcely observed, the energy transfer from the antenna pigments to Cu-APTES-Chl a plays an important role for the increase in photocurrent density. The usefulness of the mesostructured films as model systems is discussed in relation to the photosynthetic primary processes of higher plants.  相似文献

A capillary electrochromatography (CEC) method has been developed for the separation of caffeine and its two metabolites 1-methylxanthine (1-MX) and 1,7-dimethylxanthine (1,7-DX). The stationary phase was 3-(1,8-naphthalimido) propyl-modified silyl silica gel (NAIP) and the best separations were achieved with 4.0 mM citrate buffer (pH 5.0) containing 80% methanol at an applied voltage of 25 kV. The compounds were completely separated in less than 3.5 min with good repeatability, which was approximately 3-times less than that in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with NAIP. The proposed method coupled with microdialysis was successfully applied to the monitoring of caffeine concentration in rat brain with detection limits of 1.11 microg/mL.  相似文献

We have used a radio frequency quadrupole decelerator to decelerate antiprotons emerging from the CERN Antiproton Decelerator from MeV- to keV-scale energy, and collected five decelerated pulses in a multiring trap. Some 5 x 10(6) antiprotons were stacked in this way. Cooling of the trapped antiprotons by a simultaneously trapped electron plasma was studied nondestructively via shifts in plasma mode frequencies. We have also demonstrated the first step in extracting a 10-500 eV antiproton beam from the trap.  相似文献

A marked difference in spin relaxation behavior due to hemoglobin magnetism was found for positive muons (μ+) in deoxyhemoglobin in comparison with that observed in oxyhemoglobin in aqueous solution at room temperature under zero and external longitudinal magnetic fields upto 0.4 Tesla. At the same time, small but significant unique relaxation pattern was observed in nonmagnetic oxyhemoglobin. Combined with our previous measurements on hemoglobin in human blood, application of this type of measurement to the studies of the level of oxygenation in various regions of the human brain is suggested.  相似文献

We improved an ultrafast time-resolved fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) spectroscopy system and measured directly the decrease in the fluorescence decay time of the FRET signal, without any entanglement of components in the picosecond time scale from the donor-acceptor protein pairs (such as cameleon protein for calcium ion indicator, and ligand-activated GRIN-Go proteins pair). The drastic decrease in lifetime of the donor protein fluorescence under the FRET condition (e.g. a 47.8% decrease for a GRIN-Go protein pair) proves the deformation dynamics between donor and acceptor fluorescent proteins in an activated state of a mixed donor-acceptor protein pair. This study is the first clear evidence of physical contact of the GRIN-Go proteins pair using time-resolved FRET system. G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) are the most important protein family for the recognition of many chemical substances at the cell surface. They are the targets of many drugs. Simultaneously, we were able to observe the time-resolved spectra of luminous proteins at the initial stage under the FRET condition, within 10 ns from excitation. This new FRET system allows us to trace the dynamics of the interaction between proteins at the ligand-induced activated state, molecular structure change and combination or dissociation. It will be a key technology for the development of protein chip technology.  相似文献

We generalize the notion of ground states in the Pirogov-Sinai theory of first order phase transitions at low temperatures, applicable to lattice systems with a finite number of periodic ground states to that of restricted ensembles with equal free energies. A restricted ensemble is a Gibbs ensemble, i.e. equilibrium probability measure, on a restricted set of configurations in the phase space of the system. When a restricted ensemble contains only one configuration it coincides with a ground state. In the more general case the entropy is also important.An example of a system we can treat by our methods is theq-state Potts model where we prove that forq sufficiently large there exists a temperature at which the system coexists inq+1 phases;q-ordered phases are small modifications of theq perfectly ordered ground states and one disordered phase which is a modification of the restricted ensemble consisting of all perfectly disordered (neighboring sites must have different spins) configurations. The free energy thus consists entirely of energy in the firstq-restricted ensembles and of entropy in the last one.Our main motivation for this work is to develop a rigorous theory for phase transitions in continuum fluids in which there is no symmetry between the phases, e.g. the liquid-vapour phase transition.
