Kinetic resolution of sterically hindered racemic α-tert-alkyl-α-hydroxy esters is performed by enantiomer-selective carbamoylation with the t-Bu-Box-Cu(II) catalyst (Box = bis(oxazoline)). The reaction with 0.5 equiv of n-C(3)H(7)NCO is carried out with a substrate-to-catalyst molar ratio of 500-5000 at -20 to 25 °C. The high enantiomer-discrimination ability of the catalyst achieves an excellent stereoselectivity factor (s = k(fast)/k(slow)) of 261 in the best case. The confined space synthesis method has been applied to the preparation of sodium tantalate (NaTaO(3)); hydrothermal reaction of NaOH and Ta(2)O(5) was carried out in the pores of a three-dimensional mesoporous carbon, which was replicated by the colloidal array of silica nanospheres (SNSs) 20 nm in size. This approach led to the formation of a colloidal array of NaTaO(3) nanoparticles 20 nm in size with a surface area of 34 m(2) g(-1). The photocatalytic performance of the colloidal array of NaTaO(3) nanoparticles for overall water splitting under UV irradiation (λ > 200 nm) was evaluated after loading a NiO cocatalyst onto NaTaO(3) samples. The NiO-loaded NaTaO(3) nanoparticles showed photocatalytic activity for overall water splitting more than three times as high as non-structured bulk NaTaO(3) particles. 相似文献

The duality between values and orderings is a powerful tool to discuss relationships between various information-theoretic measures and their permutation analogues for discrete-time finite-alphabet stationary stochastic processes (SSPs). Applying it to output processes of hidden Markov models with ergodic internal processes, we have shown in our previous work that the excess entropy and the transfer entropy rate coincide with their permutation analogues. In this paper, we discuss two permutation characterizations of the two measures for general ergodic SSPs not necessarily having the Markov property assumed in our previous work. In the first approach, we show that the excess entropy and the transfer entropy rate of an ergodic SSP can be obtained as the limits of permutation analogues of them for the N-th order approximation by hidden Markov models, respectively. In the second approach, we employ the modified permutation partition of the set of words which considers equalities of symbols in addition to permutations of words. We show that the excess entropy and the transfer entropy rate of an ergodic SSP are equal to their modified permutation analogues, respectively. 相似文献

Summary In order to identify the concentration of tritium (3H) in areas of fresh, brackish and sea water, bordered by nuclear fuel facilities at Rokkasho-Village, Aomori, Japan, water
samples were collected from 2001 to 2004 at six points in those areas. Concentration ranges of tritium in fresh river water,
brackish lake and seawater samples were 0.60 to 1.1 Bq. l-1(mean value 0.79 Bq. l-1), 0.20 to 0.87 Bq. l-1(mean value 0.41 Bq. l-1), and 0.08 to 0.25 Bq. l-1(mean value 0.15 Bq. l-1), respectively. Relationships between tritium concentrations and salinity in the samples showed a clear negative correlation.

The cross-linking structure of the ultra violet (UV)-cured resin prepared from dipentaerithritol hexacrylate (DPHA) was characterized by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS) combined with supercritical methanolysis. The MALDI-mass spectrum of the decomposition products obtained by supercritical methanolysis contained a series of peaks of sodium-cationized methyl acrylate (MA) oligomers up to around m/z = 4000 formed through selective cleavage and methylation occurred at ester linkages in UV-cured DPHA. Furthermore, in order to observe widely distributed sequence lengths in the cross-linking junctions, the decomposed products of the cured resin were then fractionated using size exclusion chromatography followed by the MALDI-MS measurements of the individual fractions. The MALDI-mass spectra of the lower molar mass fractions mainly consisted of a series of peaks of MA oligomers around m/z values of several thousands, whereas those of higher molecular weight showed a broad peak up to m/z ca. 180000. The observed distributions of the supercritical methanolysis products suggested that the network junctions in the given UV-cured resin were composed of up to around 2000 acrylate units. 相似文献

The wet processing of SU8 resist was modified in order to achieve a high-aspect ratio patterning with feature size of 100 nm.
A final rinse in water, which makes a large contact angle on the resist (less wetting) was added to the procedure. This allowed
considerable reduction of the capillary force, which is responsible for pattern distortions in three-dimensional (3D) lithography.
3D recording of high-aspect ratio (far=18) structures by holographic exposure using femtosecond pulses in SU8 resist was achieved using this modified development
procedure. The thickness of the free-standing planes was approximately 100 nm. High fidelity of this recording method was
confirmed by a Moiré pattern transfer into a developed SU8 pattern. In terms of focusing, the 100 nm feature size comprised
1/13-th of the diffraction limit. This modified development is applicable for wet processing when super-critical drying cannot
be used.
