A 20% aqueous solution of (ethylene oxide) 99-(propylene oxide) 65-(ethylene oxide) 99, F127, was investigated by combining rheology in a cone/plate-geometry and surface-sensitive grazing incident neutron scattering. The crystalline structure formed by the polymer micelles becomes less pronounced for low shear rates, but correlations increase for higher shear rates. After stopping shear a slow relaxation of the micelles is found in the vicinity (50 mum thick layer) of a hydrophilic silicon wall (strong micelle-wall interaction), while a fast relaxation is observed in the boundary layer against the hydrophobic silicon wall (weak micelle-wall interaction). The results show that in the vicinity of the interface wall-particle interactions compete heavily with the shear force acting on the liquid. 相似文献

A cascade, composed of (i) oxovanadium(V)-catalyzed oxidation of bromide by tert-butyl hydroperoxide and (ii) stereoselective 6-endo-bromocyclization, affords 3-bromo-2-aryl-2,6,6-trimethyltetrahydropyrans from styrene-type tertiary alkenols in synthetically useful yields. (E)-Alkenols add the bromo- and the alkoxy substituent anti-selectively across the double bond, indicating a bromonium ion-mechanism for the ring closure. 6-endo-control of the alkenol cyclization thereby arises from the polar effect of the aryl substituent. Two methyl substituents bound to the alkene terminus are not similarly able to favor 6-endo-cyclization, because strain arising from methyl group repulsion, as the bromonium-activated π-bond and the hydroxyl oxygen approach, directs bromocyclization of tertiary prenyl-type substrates toward tetrahydrofuran formation. A hexasubstituted bromotetrahydropyran prepared from the oxidation/bromocyclization cascade served as starting material for synthesis of racemic aplysiapyranoid A, in a sequence of free radical and polar functional group interconversion. 相似文献

Radical reactions of i-PP are a well known technical process for the chemical degradation to increase the flowability of the i-PP melt. By decreasing the temperature and increasing the life time of the PP-radicals, a process to synthesize long chain branched i-PP, was developed. The long chain branched-i-PP allows to introduce the i-PP in processing technologies as blow moulding film technology or foaming technology. The mechanism will be discussed. The radical grafting of Polypropylene (PP) becomes more important for the developing of PP-alloys with extended properties. Methylmethacrylate and styrene were polymerized and grafted in PP at low temperatures in solid state. Grafting and polymerizing in solid state means solving the monomers in the PP-powder directly from the reactor without contacting with oxygen (air). The reaction is started by the thermal decomposition of a peroxide. The reactivity of the primary radicals from the peroxide and the transfer reactions of the polymer radical of the PMMA or PS influences the amount of the grafted polymer. The solubility of the monomers and the peroxide in the amorphous i-PP-phase was measured. The grafting yield and the dispersity of the second polymer depends on the solubility and dispersity of peroxide and monomers in the PP-powder particles. 相似文献

In this communication, we demonstrate the feasibility of 1H detection in MAS solid-state NMR for a microcrystalline, uniformly 2H,15N-labeled sample of a SH3 domain of chicken alpha-spectrin, using pulsed field gradients for suppression of water magnetization. Today, B0 gradients are employed routinely in solution-state NMR for coherence order selection and solvent suppression. We suggest to use gradients to purge water magnetization which cannot be suppressed using conventional water suppression schemes. The achievable gain in sensitivity for 1H detection is in the order of 5 compared to the 15N detected version of the experiment (at a MAS rotation frequency of 13.5 kHz). We expect that this labeling concept which achieves high sensitivity due to 1H detection, in combination with the possibility to measure long range 1H-1H distances as we have shown previously, to be a useful tool for the determination of protein structures in the solid state. 相似文献

Triethylenetetramine (L(4)) was used as a tetradentate blocking ligand that, after complexation with Ni(II), leaves two sites ready for ligation with tricyanomethanide. The formed binuclear complex [L(4)Ni(NCC(CN)CN)(2)NiL(4)](ClO(4))(2) exhibits a ferromagnetic coupling with J/hc = +0.15 cm(-1) and g(Ni) = 2.126; below 16 K, a ferromagnetic ordering is evidenced by ac magnetic susceptibility (both in-phase and out-of-phase), magnetization, field-cooled magnetization, and zero-field-cooled magnetization measurements. 相似文献

Alkaptonuria (AKU) is a rare disease characterized by high levels of homogentisic acid (HGA); patients suffer from tissue ochronosis: dark brown pigmentation, especially of joint cartilage, leading to severe early osteoarthropathy. No molecular mechanism links elevated HGA to ochronosis; the pigment's chemical identity is still not known, nor how it induces joint cartilage degradation. Here we give key insight on HGA‐derived pigment composition and collagen disruption in AKU cartilage. Synthetic pigment and pigmented human cartilage tissue both showed hydroquinone‐resembling NMR signals. EPR spectroscopy showed that the synthetic pigment contains radicals. Moreover, we observed intrastrand disruption of collagen triple helix in pigmented AKU human cartilage, and in cartilage from patients with osteoarthritis. We propose that collagen degradation can occur via transient glycyl radicals, the formation of which is enhanced in AKU due to the redox environment generated by pigmentation. 相似文献
