The steady state and time domain spectroscopy of 9-aminoacridinium hydrochloride have been studied. 9-aminoacridine (I), 9-aminoacridinium (II) and the double protonated ion (III) follow Waterman’s principle with respect to their spectra and lifetimes. It is established that the excimer formation in (II) is from the ground state dimers which undergo either thermally-activated radiationless excimer conversion or a geometrical rearrangement in the excited state at room temperature. The quenching of monomer emission by dimers or foreign quenchers (KI) is found to be of transient nature as suggested by the continuum model. The authors felicitate Prof. D S Kothari on his eightieth birthday and dedicate this paper to him on this occasion.  相似文献

The authors examine the characteristics of the classical radiation emitted by a relativistic electron beam that propagates perpendicularly through a large amplitude relativistic plasma wave. Such a study is useful for evaluating the feasibility of using relativistic plasma waves as extremely short wavelength undulators for generating short wavelength radiation. The electron trajectories in a plasma wave undulator are obtained using perturbation techniques and are then compared to numerical simulation results. The frequency spectrum and angular distribution of the spontaneous radiation emitted by a single electron and the stimulated radiation gain are obtained analytically, and are then compared to 3-D numerical simulations. The characteristics of the plasma wave undulator are compared to the AC free-electron laser (FEL) undulator and the conventional FEL  相似文献

Some compounds with fluorite structures in the system CaF2–YF3 were prepared by precipitation followed by thermal annealing at 1000 °C. Photoluminescence spectra of Ce3+ and Eu2+ were studied. In this host, Ce3+ exhibits PL, which is totally different from that observed for the constituent fluorides. Eu2+ emission, on the other hand, is almost the same as that for CaF2. The changes are explained in terms of the defect structure of Ca1?xYxF2+x.  相似文献

In the present work, for the first time, heterojunction has been fabricated using electrochemically deposited isotype p-selenium-p-polyaniline from a single solution bath. The structural characterization of selenium and polyaniline thin film was carried out using XRD technique. Polyaniline exhibited amorphous structure while selenium offered monoclinic (β) phase. The junction was formed by electrodepositing polyaniline over selenium film and heating at 423 K. The current density versus voltage (J-V) plot showed the formation of a junction with ideality factor of 1.16. From J-V characteristics at different temperatures, static resistance (Rs), dynamic resistance (Rd), and rectification ratio of diodes were determined. Heat treatment above 448 K caused junction breakdown.  相似文献

By combining the generalized exterior algebra of forms over a noncommutative algebra with the gauging of discrete directions and the associated Higgs fields, we consider the construction of the bosonic sector of left-right symmetric models of the form SU(2) L SU(2) R U(1). We see that within this formalism maximal use can be made of the gauge connection associated with the noncommutative graded algebra.  相似文献

Commercial supply, from several steel manufacturers, of low-silicon non-grain-oriented electrical steel was monitored over a span of several years. A total of 51 samples were selected—selected from many hundreds on the basis of large differences in magnetic properties, but absence of significant variations in chemistry (other than differences in silicon percentage). The selected samples were analyzed for crystallographic texture and for grain size.  相似文献

Many existing methods for the recovery of optical parameters from turbid materials rely on the diffusion approximation, which does not permit the recovery of the degree of anisotropy in the scattering phase function. These methods also make the explicit assumption that light is normally incident at the top surface of the material. We demonstrate a steady-state imaging technique that uses nonnormally incident light to determine anisotropy parameter g by fitting Monte Carlo simulation results to high dynamic range images of the intensity profiles of samples. The proposed method is simpler than existing methods and does not rely on thin samples to produce reasonable results.  相似文献

Using empirical pseudopotential method Γ-L crossover is found for the Ga0.74Al0.26Sb. The conduction band minimum is observed to switch at the (0.87, 0, 0) point for Ga0.51Al0.49Sb which shifts to the X point for Ga0.21Al0.79Sb and remains at X leading finally to indirect band gap in AlSb. Band structure calculations for a large number of alloys are performed and bowing parameters bX and bL are proposed for the EX and EL respectively. Our findings may serve as directive to select the materials in a range of composition to examine the bowing parameters and thereby effective mass experimentally for the GaxAl1-xSb alloys.  相似文献

This paper presents improved equivalent circuits for the analysis and design of acoustic plate wave devices. The method uses a mixed equivalent circuit for the interdigital transducer consisting of both active and passive sections placed on the surface of a piezoelectric plate. The values of the various circuit elements are obtained by carrying out a best fit between theoretical and experimental frequency dependence of the real and imaginary parts of transducer input impedance. Knowledge of the equivalent circuit parameters allows one to optimize design of the devices. The method has been successfully employed for the design of one-port shear-horizontal wave resonators on Y-X lithium niobate plates. The proposed method can also be utilized for determining acoustic wave velocity with high accuracy.  相似文献
