We present a measurement of the partial branching fractions and mass spectra of the exclusive radiative penguin processes B-->Kpipigamma in the range m(Kpipi)<1.8 GeV/c(2). We reconstruct four final states: K(+)pi(-)pi(+)gamma, K(+)pi(-)pi(0)gamma, K(S)(0)pi(-)pi(+)gamma, and K(S)(0)pi(+)pi(0)gamma, where K(S)(0)-->pi(+)pi(-). Using 232 x 10(6) e(+)e(-)-->BB events recorded by the BABAR experiment at the SLAC PEP-II asymmetric-energy storage ring, we measure the branching fractions B(B(+)-->K(+)pi(-)pi(+)gamma)=[2.95+/-0.13(stat)+/-0.20(syst)] x 10(-5), B(B(0)-->K(+)pi(-)pi(0)gamma)=[4.07+/-0.22(stat)+/-0.31(syst)] x 10(-5), B(B(0)-->K(0)pi(+)pi(-)gamma)=[1.85+/-0.21(stat)+/-0.12(syst)] x 10(-5), and B(B(+)-->K(0)pi(+)pi(0)gamma)=[4.56+/-0.42(stat)+/-0.31(syst)] x 10(-5). 相似文献

High resolution neutron scattering is used to study excitations in the organometallic magnet (CH3)2NH2CuCl3 (DMACuCl3). Combined with bulk magnetization and susceptibility studies, the new results imply that DMACuCl3 is a realization of the S=1/2 alternating antiferromagnetic-ferromagnetic (AFM-FM) chain. Coupled-cluster calculations indicate that the AFM and FM interactions have nearly the same strength, while analysis of scattering intensities shows evidence for interdimer spin correlations. Results are discussed in the context of recent ideas concerning quantum entanglement. 相似文献

Temperature- and field-dependent measurements of the Hall effect of pure and 4% Rh-doped URu2Si2 reveal low density (0.03 hole/U) high mobility carriers to be unique to the "hidden order" phase and consistent with an itinerant density-wave order parameter. The Fermi surface undergoes a series of abrupt changes as the magnetic field is increased. When combined with existing de Haas-van Alphen data, the Hall data expose a strong interplay between the stability of the "hidden order," the degree of polarization of the Fermi liquid, and the Fermi surface topology. 相似文献

The syntheses and crystal structures of the layered coordination polymers M(C8H8NO2)2 [M = Mn (1), Co (2), Ni (3) and Zn (4)] are described. Childhood sun exposure is linked to excessive pigmented mole development and melanoma risk. Clothing provides a physical barrier, protecting skin from ultraviolet radiation (UVR). Extending sleeves to elbow length and shorts to knee length has been shown to significantly reduce mole acquisition in preschoolers from tropical Queensland. We used publicly available uniform images and guidelines from primary schools in Townsville (latitude 19.25°S, n = 43 schools), Cairns (16.87°S, n = 46) and the Atherton Tablelands (17.26°S, n = 23) in tropical Australia to objectively determine the body surface proportion covered by regulation school uniforms. Uniforms of nongovernment, large (≥800 students), urban, educationally advantaged schools with comprehensive sun protection policies covered more skin than those of government schools (63.2% vs 62.0%; P < 0.001), smaller schools (63.4% vs 62.3%; P = 0.009), rural (62.7% vs 61.9%; P = 0.002) and educationally disadvantaged schools (62.8% vs 62.3%; P < 0.001) with underdeveloped sun protection policies (62.8% vs 62.2%; P = 0.002). Overall, SunSmart and non‐SunSmart school uniforms covered identical body surface proportions (62.4%, P = 0.084). Although wearing regulation school uniforms is mandatory at most Australian primary schools, this opportunity to improve children's sun protection is largely overlooked. Recent evidence suggests that even encouraging minor alterations to school uniforms (e.g. slightly longer sleeves/dresses/skirts/shorts) to increase skin coverage may reduce mole acquisition and melanoma risk, especially in high‐risk populations. 相似文献

Chemosensors are developed to image zinc ions. Fluorescence enhancement due to Zn2+ binding is an excellent way to detect its presence. A chemosensor for Zn2+ based on dipicolylamine (DPA) groups connected by a pyridyl amide backbone has been synthesized. Addition of 2-chloroacetyl chloride to 2,6-diaminopyridine affords 2,6-bis(chloroethylamido)pyridine, which is converted to the sensor BADPA-P by 2,2′-dipicolylamine displacement of chlorine. This compound along with two others, the mono-DPA, ADPA-P and the benzyl in place of pyridyl, BADPA-B, present three potential Zn2+ sensors. It was found that BADPA-P in the presence of Zn2+ shows a large increase in fluorescence, whether in polar organic or aqueous environments. Its fluorescence in the presence of Cd2+, unlike with Zn2+, is not enhanced when excited at longer wavelengths. Proton NMR measurements, indicate two Zn2+ ions bind to BADPA-P. Also, Zn2+ enhances fluorescence even when other metal ions are present. 相似文献

Systematically modified octyl galactosides and octyl N-acetyllactosamines were assessed as inhibitors of, and substrates for, T. cruzi trans-sialidase (TcTS) in the context of exploring its acceptor substrate binding site. These studies show that TcTS, which catalyses the α-(2→3)-sialylation of non-reducing terminal β-galactose residues, is largely intolerant of substitution of the galactose 2 and 4 positions whereas substitution of the galactose 6 position is well tolerated. Further studies show that even the addition of a bulky sugar residue (glucose, galactose) does not impact negatively on TcTS binding and turnover, which highlights the potential of 'internal' 6-substituted galactose residues to serve as TcTS acceptor substrates. Results from screening a 93-membered thiogalactoside library highlight a number of structural features (notably imidazoles and indoles) that are worthy of further investigation in the context of TcTS inhibitor development. 相似文献

For the d(0) complex [{Zr(CpSiMe(2)H)Cl(3)}(2)] which contains a linear Si-H···Zr interaction across the dimer, DFT calculations are in good agreement with X-ray structures. The BP86 functional shows a slightly stronger interaction than B3LYP but for qualitative purposes either functional is sufficient. QTAIM analysis shows a bond critical point (bcp) for the interaction, a small negative value for the total energy density [H((r))] and the H atomic basin decreases in energy, E(H), and atomic volume compared to the free ligand. NBO analysis showed E(2) for Si-H σ to Zr(dz(2)) donation at 42.8 kcal mol(-1) and a 34% spatial overlap for the interaction consistent with an inverse hydrogen bond. The Wiberg bond index for the interaction is 0.1735 (0.7205 for the Si-H bond), ν((Si-H)) and (1)J((Si-H)) at 2060 cm(-1) and 145.4 Hz compared to 2183 cm(-1) and 172.1 Hz in the free ligand. Using a "synthesis by computation" approach to forming like complexes, similar features were found for [{Hf(CpSiMe(2)H)Cl(3)}(2)]. The titanium complex [{Ti(CpSiMe(2)H)Cl(3)}(2)] does not contain any Si-H···Ti interaction as rotation about the C-Si bond of the ligand occurs to place the Si-H bond hydrogen closer to a terminal chloro ligand across the dimer. An increase in electron density on the metal in the d(2) complex [{Mo(CpSiMe(2)H)Cl(3)}(2)] results in a stronger interaction with a distinct QTAIM analysis bcp [ρ((r)) 0.0448 a.u.], a small negative value for H((r)) and a much reduced H atomic volume. NBO analysis shows E(2) for Si-H σ to Mo(dz(2)) donation at 143.1 kcal mol(-1) and a 29% spatial overlap. Mo(dz(2)) to Si-H σ* donation (back donation) is minimal [E(2) 1.3 kcal mol(-1), ~1% spatial overlap]. The Wiberg bond index is 0.3114 (0.5667 for the Si-H bond), ν((Si-H)) 2015 cm(-1) and (1)J((Si-H)) 120.6 Hz. 相似文献

The main water-soluble carbohydrates in temperate forage grasses are polymeric fructans. Fructans consist of fructose chains
of various chain lengths attached to sucrose as a core molecule. In grasses, fructans are a complex mixture of a large number
of isomeric oligomers with a degree of polymerisation ranging from 3 to >100. Accurate monitoring and unambiguous peak identification
requires chromatographic separation coupled to mass spectrometry. The mass range of ion trap mass spectrometers is limited,
and we show here how monitoring selected multiply charged ions can be used for the detection and quantification of individual
isomers and oligomers of high mass, particularly those of high degree of polymerization (DP > 20) in complex plant extracts.
Previously reported methods using linear ion traps with low mass resolution have been shown to be useful for the detection
of fructans with a DP up to 49. Here, we report a method using high-resolution mass spectrometry (MS) using an Exactive Orbitrap
MS which greatly improves the signal-to-noise ratio and allows the detection of fructans up to DP = 100. High-sugar (HS) Lolium perenne cultivars with high concentrations of these fructans have been shown to be of benefit to the pastoral agricultural industry
because they improve rumen nitrogen use efficiency and reduce nitrous oxide emissions from pastures. We demonstrate with our
method that these HS grasses not only contain increased amounts of fructans in leaf blades but also accumulate fructans with
much higher DP compared to cultivars with normal sugar levels. 相似文献
