Poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) and its salt poly(acrylate) (PA) have been synthesized through modified free radical polymerization in environmentally begin aqueous medium under ultrasound to make the process robust. The synthesized polymer is well-characterized through conventional techniques. Its salt is employed to produce highly stable and stimuli sensitive colloidal silver (Ag-PA sol) without using any additional reducing chemical reagents like sodium borohydride, ascorbic acid, hydrazine, etc or UV/Gamma radiation. A detailed mechanistic path of the polymerization and reduction of Ag+ on polyacrylate chains has been evaluated. Finally Ag-PA sol is used for pH sensing through naked eye to eliminate the need for sophisticated instrument for data collection. The present work focuses mainly the development of a low cost pH sensing system based on colorimetric ‘smart polymer’ having high practical utility. The unique structural and photo-physical features of nano-scaled materials open new opportunities for the applications of colorimetric pH sensor. In the present work, Ag nano-clusters capped by PA? are employed as an effective colorimetric pH sensor for the first time, requiring no further functionalization. 相似文献

We show that the defect density n, for a slow nonlinear power-law quench with a rate tau(-1) and an exponent alpha>0, which takes the system through a critical point characterized by correlation length and dynamical critical exponents nu and z, scales as n approximately tau(-alphanud/(alphaznu+1)) [n approximately (alphag((alpha-1)/alpha)/tau)(nud/(znu+1))] if the quench takes the system across the critical point at time t=0 [t=t(0) not = 0], where g is a nonuniversal constant and d is the system dimension. These scaling laws constitute the first theoretical results for defect production in nonlinear quenches across quantum critical points and reproduce their well-known counterpart for a linear quench (alpha=1) as a special case. We supplement our results with numerical studies of well-known models and suggest experiments to test our theory. 相似文献

AbstractEnlightened by the Caputo fractional derivative, the present study deals with a novel mathematical model of generalized thermoelasticity to investigate the transient phenomena due to the influence of magnetic field and moving heat source in a rod in the context of three-phase lag (TPL) theory of thermoelasticity. Both ends of the rod are fixed and heat insulated. Employing Laplace transform as a tool, the problem has been transformed into the space-domain and solved analytically. Finally, solutions in the real-time domain are obtained by applying the inverse Laplace transform. Numerical calculation for stress, displacement, and temperature within the rod is carried out and displayed graphically. The effect of moving heat source speed on temperature, stress, and temperature is studied. It is found from the distributions that the temperature, thermally induced displacement and stress of the rod are found to decrease at large source speed. A series of copper (II) ( 1 and 3 ) and cobalt (II/III) ( 2 , 4 and 5 ) complexes comprising different imino‐phenolate ligands DCH , DTH and DBH 2 (where DCH = 2,4‐dichloro‐6‐((mesitylimino)methyl)phenol, DTH = 2,4‐di‐tert‐butyl‐6‐((mesitylimino)methyl) phenol and DBH 2 = 2,4‐dibromo‐6‐((mesitylimino)methyl)phenol) have been prepared with excellent yield and high purity. By utilizing different spectroscopic tools such as UV–visible, electrospray ionization (ESI)‐mass, Fourier‐transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometry and elemental analysis, the prepared complexes ( 1 – 5 ) were thoroughly characterized. The molecular structure of the synthesized complexes was ascertained by using single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction studies (SCXRDs). The experiment reveals that Complexes 1 – 5 bind to calf thymus DNA (CT‐DNA) through non‐intercalative way with good interacting abilities. However, 1 – 5 are excellent quenchers of the fluorescence intensity of bovine serum albumin (BSA) following the static pathway. Additionally, they had shown remarkable cytotoxic potential against MCF‐7 (mammary gland adenocarcinoma) and A549 (lung adenocarcinoma) cell lines. The IC50 values associated with these complexes were much lower than the conventional drug cisplatin. Apoptosis‐induced cell death was confirmed from the DNA fragmentation studies and Hoechst 33342 staining. The 2′,7′‐dichlorofluorescein diacetate (DCFDA) assay indicates that the complex mediated reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation is accountable for governing the apoptosis mechanism via oxidative cell distress. Apart from these studies, by carrying out density functional theory (DFT) method, highest occupied molecular orbital–lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (HOMO–LUMO) energy gap calculations and optimized structures of the synthesized complexes were accomplished. 相似文献

Building upon our earlier results on the synthesis of electron‐precise transition‐metal–boron complexes, we continue to investigate the reactivity of pentaborane(9) and tetraborane(10) analogues of ruthenium and rhodium towards thiazolyl and oxazolyl ligands. Thus, mild thermolysis of nido‐[(Cp*RuH)2B3H7] ( 1 ) with 2‐mercaptobenzothiazole (2‐mbtz) and 2‐mercaptobenzoxazole (2‐mboz) led to the isolation of Cp*‐based (Cp*=η5‐C5Me5) borate complexes 5 a , b [Cp*RuBH3L] ( 5 a : L=C7H4NS2; 5 b : L=C7H4NOS)) and agostic complexes 7 a , b [Cp*RuBH2(L)2], ( 7 a : L=C7H4NS2; 7 b : L=C7H4NOS). In a similar fashion, a rhodium analogue of pentaborane(9), nido‐[(Cp*Rh)2B3H7] ( 2 ) yielded rhodaboratrane [Cp*RhBH(L)2], 10 (L=C7H4NS2). Interestingly, when the reaction was performed with an excess of 2‐mbtz, it led to the formation of the first structurally characterized N,S‐heterocyclic rhodium‐carbene complex [(Cp*Rh)(L2)(1‐benzothiazol‐2‐ylidene)] ( 11 ) (L=C7H4NS2). Furthermore, to evaluate the scope of this new route, we extended this chemistry towards the diruthenium analogue of tetraborane(10), arachno‐[(Cp*RuCO)2B2H6] ( 3 ), in which the metal center possesses different ancillary ligands. 相似文献

A molecularly defined NiII‐complex catalyzing the chemoselective acetalization of aldehydes with alcohols under neutral conditions is reported. The reaction is general, efficient and showed a wide substrate scope (including aliphatic aldehydes) as well as excellent functional group tolerance. A one-pot Sonogashira coupling, hydroamination of alkyne and CH arylation reactions for the synthesis of indole-fused benzosultams are described. This method allows access to a variety of indole-fused seven membered benzosultams in good to excellent yields. The free indolyl nitrogen containing indole-fused benzosultams are also prepared by this method. The structures of the synthesized compounds are confirmed by single crystal XRD studies. 相似文献
