The bonding situation in a series of biphenylene analogues – benzo[b]biphenylene and its dication, 4,10‐dibromobenzo[b]biphenylene, naphtho[2,3‐b]biphenylene and its dianion, benzo[a]biphenylene, (biphenylene)tricarbonylchromium, benzo[3,4]cyclobuta[1,2‐c]thiophene, benzo[3,4]cyclobuta[1,2‐c]thiophene 2‐oxide, benzo[3,4]cyclobuta[1,2‐c]thiophene 2,2‐dioxide, 4,10‐diazabenzo[b]biphenylene, biphenylene‐2,3‐dione, benzo[3,4]cyclobuta[1,2‐b]anthracene‐6,11‐dione, and 3,4‐dihydro‐2H‐benzo[3,4]cyclobuta[1,2]cycloheptene – where one of the two benzo rings of biphenylene is replaced by a different π‐system (B) was investigated on the basis of the NMR parameters of these systems. From the vicinal 1H,1H spin‐spin coupling constants, the electronic structure of the remaining benzo ring (A) is derived via the Q‐value method. It is found that increasing tendency of B to tolerate exocyclic double bonds at the central four‐membered ring of these systems favors increased π‐electron delocalization in the A ring. The analysis of the chemical shifts supports this conclusion. NICS (nucleus‐independent chemical shift) values as well as C,C bond lengths derived from ab initio calculations are in excellent agreement with the experimental data. The charged systems benzo[b]biphenylene dication and naphtho[2,3‐b]biphenylene dianion ( 7 2−) are also studied by 13C NMR measurements. The charge distribution found closely resembles the predictions of the simple HMO model and reveals that 7 2− can be regarded as a benzo[3,4]cyclobuta[1,2‐b]‐substituted anthracene dianion. It is shown that the orientation of the tricarbonylchromium group in complexes of benzenoid aromatics can be derived from the vicinal 1H,1H coupling constants. 相似文献

Coordination Chemistry of P‐rich Phosphanes and Silylphosphanes. XXII. The Formation of [η2‐{tBu–P=P–SiMe3}Pt(PR3)2] from (Me3Si)tBuP–P=P(Me)tBu2 and [η2‐{C2H4}Pt(PR3)2] (Me3Si)tBuP–P = P(Me)tBu2 reacts with [η2‐{C2H4}Pt(PR3)2] yielding [η2‐{tBu–P=P–SiMe3}Pt(PR3)2]. However, there is no indication for an isomer which would be the analogue to the well known [η2‐{tBu2P–P}Pt(PPh3)2]. The oxidation behaviour of the oxide-dispersion strengthened (ODS) high-temperature alloys MA 956 (an aluminium oxide former) and MA 754 (a chromium oxide former) has been compared with that of two model alloys, Fe-20Cr-5Al and Ni-25Cr. The morphology and composition of the oxide scales were investigated by metallography, X-ray diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscopy. For analysis of the oxide layer growth mechanisms, twostage oxidation experiments with18O as tracer were used, the distribution of the oxygen isotopes in the oxide scale being determined by SIMS. The ODS alloys show a more selective oxidation than the two model alloys; moreover, the protective oxides on the ODS alloys have a lower growth rate and better adhesion than those on the two model alloys. From the SIMS investigations it can be deduced that the improved properties of the layers on the ODS alloys result from a change in the transport processes in the protective layer; whereas the aluminium and chromium oxide films on the conventional alloys grow by cation and anion transport, the scales on the ODS alloys grow almost exclusively by anion transport. It is shown that the observed properties of the oxide scales on the ODS alloys can be explained by this change in transport mechanism.Dedicated to Professor Günther Tölg on the occasion of his 60th birthday 相似文献

All four stereoisomers of (E)-vitamin Kb i. e. (21E, 7R, 111R)-l (= 1a), (21E, 71 R, l11S)-1 (= 1b), (21E, 71 S, 111S) 1 ( = 1c), and (21E, 71S, 111R)-l ( = Id), have been synthesized in a state of high chemical and stereoisomeric purity. The synthesis of stereoisomers lb-d relied on the use of the optically active Cf1* and C*10-building blocks (R)- or (S)-4-(benzyloxy)-3-methylbutanal ((R)- or (S)-2) and (R)- or (S)-citronellal ((R)- or (S)- 3 ) which had been secured by the Rh1-catalyzed allylamine-to-enamine isomerization technology. For the synthesis of the natural (E)-vitamin-K1 stereoisomer 1a , a new route starting from natural phylol was developed, based on an O-alkylation/rearrangement procedure. A HPLC method was developed which separates with remarkable efficiency all four stereoisomers of (E)- as well as three out of the four stereoisomers of (Z)-vitamin K1 on optically active poly(trityl methacrylate) as the chiral stationary phase supported on Nucleosil. By this method, the stereoisomeric content of the stereoisomers 1b-d synthesized was shown to be in the range of 96-98 %, while the natural isomer 1a was configurationally uniform. The biological activity of the four (E)-vitamin-K1 stereoisomers was determined by means of the curative prothrombin time test with vitamin-K-depleted chicks. A high precision of the results was obtained with the recently introduced up-and-down organization of the test and the statistical evaluation according to an estimation procedure. With the natural (E)-vitamin-K1 stereoisomer 1a as standard (set at 1. 0), activities of 0. 93, 1. 19, and 0. 99 were found for stereoisomers 1b, 1c , and 1d , respectively. Within the confidence limits, these activity ratios can be regarded as identical, A very similar efficacy was obtained by comparison of (E, all-rac )-vitamin K1 ((21E, RS, 11′ RS)- 1 ; equimolar mixture of the four stereoisomers 1a-d) with the natural (E)-vitamin-K1 stereoisomer 1a ). A synergistic effect was not detectable, as was the case with the eight α-tocopheryl-acetate stereoisomers. 相似文献

The adsorption behavior of 2H‐tetrakis(3,5‐di‐tert‐butyl)phenylporphyrin (2HTTBPP) on Cu(110) and Cu(110)–(2×1)O surfaces have been investigated by using variable‐temperature scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) under ultrahigh vacuum conditions. On the bare Cu(110) surface, individual 2HTTBPP molecules are observed. These molecules are immobilized on the surface with a particular orientation with respect to the crystallographic directions of the Cu(110) surface and do not form supramolecular aggregates up to full monolayer coverage. In contrast, a chiral supramolecular structure is formed on the Cu(110)–(2×1)O surface, which is stabilized by van der Waals interactions between the tert‐butyl groups of neighboring molecules. These findings are explained by weakened molecule–substrate interactions on the Cu(110)–(2×1)O surface relative to the bare Cu(110) surface. By comparison with the corresponding results of Cu–tetrakis(3,5‐di‐tert‐butyl)phenylporphyrin (CuTTBPP) on Cu(110) and Cu(110)–(2×1)O surfaces, we find that the 2HTTBPP molecules can self‐metalate on both surfaces with copper atoms from the substrate at room temperature (RT). The possible origins of the self‐metalation reaction at RT are discussed. Finally, peculiar irreversible temperature‐dependent switching of the intramolecular conformations of the investigated molecules on the Cu(110) surface was observed and interpreted. 相似文献

The twofold glyoxylic Perkin reaction of perylene‐3,9‐diglyoxylic acid with thiophene‐diacetic acid followed by oxidative photocylization and reaction with α‐branched primary alkylamines yields columnar liquid‐crystalline diimides with two sulfur atoms in the condensed arene system. A broad temperature range of the hexagonal columnar mesophase is induced by racemic doubly branched alkyl chains. The HOMO and LUMO energy levels of these thiophene‐derived diimides qualify them as electron donors with respect to perylene diimides. 相似文献

The ability to control and pump high ionic strength fluids inside microchannels forms a major advantage for clinical diagnostics and drug screening processes, where high conductive biological and physiological buffers are used. Despite the known potential of AC electro‐thermal (ACET) effect in different biomedical applications, comparatively little is known about controlling the velocity and direction of fluid inside the chip. Here, we proposed to discretize the conventional electrodes to form various asymmetric electrode structures in order to control the fluid direction by simple switching the appropriate electric potential applied to the discretized electrodes. The ACET pumping effect was numerically studied by solving electrical, thermal and hydrodynamic multi‐physic coupled equations to optimize the geometrical dimensions of the discretized system. PBS solutions with different ionic strength were seeded with 1 μm sized fluorescent particles and electrothermally driven fluid motion was observed inside the channel for different electrode structures. Experimental analyses confirm that the proposed micropump is efficient for a conductivity range between 0.1 and 1 S/m and the efficiency improves by increasing the voltage amplitude. Behavior of the proposed electrode–electrolyte system is discussed by lumped circuit model. Frequency response of system illustrated that the optimal frequency range increases by increasing the conductivity of medium. For 0.18 S/m PBS solution, the constant pumping effect was observed at frequency range between 100 kHz and 1 MHz, while frequency range of 100 kHz to 5 MHZ was observed for 0.42 S/m. The characteristics of experimental results were in good agreement with the theoretical model. 相似文献

A novel method for the sensitive and selective identification and quantification of N‐acylphosphatidylethanolamine molecular species was developed. Samples were prepared using a combination of liquid–liquid and solid‐phase extraction, and intact N‐acylphosphatidylethanolamine species were determined by reversed‐phase high‐performance liquid chromatography coupled to positive electrospray tandem mass spectrometry. As a result of their biological functions as precursors for N‐acylethanolamines and as signaling molecules, tissue concentrations of N‐acylphosphatidylethanolamines are very low, and their analysis is additionally hindered by the vast excess of other sample components. Our sample preparation methods are able to selectively separate the analytes of interest from any expected biological interferences. Finally, the highest selectivity is achieved by coupling chromatographic separation and two N‐acyl chain specific selected reaction monitoring scans per analyte, enabling identification of both the N‐acyl chain and the phosphatidylethanolamine moiety. The validated method is suitable for the reliable quantification of N‐acylphosphatidylethanolamine species from rat brain with a lower limit of quantification of 10 pmol/g and a linear range up to 2300 pmol/g. In total, 41 N‐acylphosphatidylethanolamine molecular species with six different N‐acyl chains, amounting to a total concentration of 3 nmol/g, were quantified. 相似文献

Classical linear low density polyethylenes (LLDPEs) are copolymers of ethylene and 1‐octene or 1‐hexene, respectively. In the past, other 1‐olefins have been tested as comonomers but the resulting LLDPEs were never commercialized as large scale products. The present study focuses on the use of 1‐heptene as an interesting comonomer for the synthesis of LLDPE. For a comparison of the molecular structure and the physical properties of 1‐heptene‐ and 1‐octene‐based LLDPEs, five Ziegler–Natta LLDPEs of varying comonomer contents based on 1‐heptene and 1‐octene, respectively, were acquired and analysed using advanced methods. The comonomer contents of the resins were between 0.35 and 6.4 mol %. Crystallization‐based techniques revealed similar bimodal distributions that are due to the formation of copolymer and polyethylene homopolymer fractions. The compositional distribution of the copolymers was studied by high‐temperature (HT) HPLC and HT‐2D‐LC. The analytical results indicate similar chemical heterogeneities and molar mass distributions of the two sets of LLDPE up to a comonomer content of 3 mol %. Similar to the molecular structure, the physical properties of the materials are quite similar. At comonomer contents of ≥3 mol % differences between the two sets of samples are seen that are attributed to differences in the abilities of 1‐heptene and 1‐octene in disrupting the crystal arrangements of the polymer chains in solid state. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
