A Glivenko-Cantelli lemma and weak convergence for empirical processes of associated sequences

Summary With the help of an extension of Hoeffding's equality, we develop a way for estimating the covariance structures for empirical functions of associated sequences in terms of covariances of the original random variables. Based on these estimations, a Glivenko-Cantelli lemma for associated sequences and weak convergence for empirical processes of stationary associated sequences are obtained, all under the conditions on covariances of the original random variables.This research has been supported partially by a scholarship from the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research of Carleton University, Ottawa, and by an NSERC Canada grant of M. 合成香料β-大马酮的高效液相色谱分析

本文提出了用分析型HPLC仪器制备β-大马酮标准品的方法及用HPLC测定β-大马酮含量的方法。制备色谱柱为Zorbax SIL 9.4 mmφ×25cm,流动相为石油醚(30～60℃)/乙醚98.5/1.5。分析用色谱柱为Shim CLC SIL 6 mmφ×15cm(岛津全多孔硅胶柱),流动相为石油醚(60—90℃)/无水乙醇99.88/0.12,检测器为紫外可见分光光度检测器。波长253nm或302nm,标准曲线的线性范围0～1.4mg/ml。峰高或峰面积均可用于测定,回收率100.7%。     

5－（4－乙酰氧基苯基），10，15，20－三苯基卟啉金属配合物修饰的铂支撑双层脂膜的IV性质

合成并表征了５－（４－乙酰氧基苯基），１０，１５，２０－三苯基卟啉及其金属配合物，将它们作为修饰物，制得铂支撑的双层脂膜，用循环伏安法研究了抗坏血酸的氧化还原反应，并对其机理作了探讨。     

A metallo-capped polyrotaxane containing calix[4]arenes and cyclodextrins and its highly selective binding for Ca2+

A water-soluble nanometer-scale metallocapped polyrotaxane has been prepared by the inclusion complexation of azo-calixarenes with metallo-bridged bis(beta-CD)s, displaying highly selective binding for Ca(2+).

The reductive alkylation of amine with carbonyl compounds usingsodium hydrogen telluride has been investigated in recent years.Application of this method to the synthesis of N-alkyl derivativesof biologically important amino acids and their esters is described.     

Dichloro bis(η5) molybdenum catalysed reduction of organic halides by sodium borohydride

Summary Dichloro bis(⁵) molybdenum catalyses the reduction of organic halides by sodium borohydride smoothly and selectively. The reactions with representative organic monohalides and polyhalides are investigated. The ease of reduction depends on the structure of the halide and the solvent used. alkoxycarbonyl and cyano groups are unattacked in the reaction. An oxidative addition-reductive elimination mechanism is tentatively suggested.     

Synthesis of aryl ketones by the PD-catalyzed C-H activation of arenes and intermolecular carbopalladation of nitriles

The palladium-catalyzed reaction of simple arenes and nitriles provides good to excellent yields of aryl ketones or the corresponding hindered imines. The addition of a small amount of DMSO increases the yields dramatically. Both intermolecular and intramolecular examples of this process are successful. This novel chemistry is believed to involve palladium-catalyzed C-H activation, followed by carbopalladation of the nitrile.
