Periodic solutions of a second order forced sublinear differential equation with delay

In this paper, existence criteria are established for the existence of periodic solutions of a second order sublinear differential equation with delay and forcing function. Our method is based on careful a priori estimation and continuation theorems, and our sublinear condition is an improvement of the boundedness condition in some recent results.     

Optimal shape design for packaging containing heating elements by inverse heat transfer method

The present study is concerned with the determination of the optimal shape for a package containing multiple heating elements. The optimization tool has been developed based on the inverse heat transfer (IHT) approach, incorporating a direct problem solver, a numerical grid generator, a direct-differentiation sensitivity analyzer, and the conjugate gradient method. Shape design that leads to a specified outer surface temperature distribution is predicted by the approach. In this study, the effects of internal heat generation on optimal shapes of the packagings have also been evaluated. Several practical cases with various imbedded heating elements and thermal conditions are studied. Results show that the approach provides an efficient computer-aided design scheme for the shape profile determination.     

Two-function upward-downward minimax theorems

Two-function upward-downward minimax theorems are derived which contain Simons upward-downward minimax theorem as well as Domokos minimax theorem as special cases. Here the convexity assumptions on two functions are given by mixing up their values as means proposed by Lin and Quan.     

35Cr25Ni12奥氏体耐热钢中碳化物的电子显微分析

应用扫描电镜（SEM）和透射电镜（TEM）研究了长期使用前后的35Cr25Ni12奥氏体耐热钢中的碳化物演变行为；该钢固溶时效后的组织由初晶奥氏体及M23C6共晶碳化物组成，奥氏体基体中析出了二次M23C6，二次碳化物总是与基体保持立方－立方取向关系；长期使用（3、5年）后，奥氏体中析出的二次碳化物量明显增加，部分M23C6已转变为M6C，M6C与奥氏体基体以及二次碳化物M23C6保持[001]M6C//[221]A//[221]M23C6孪晶取向关系。     

Determination of low level85Kr and133Xe concentrations in the environment

This study was performed under the joint TRMC/INER program for the determination of low level⁸⁵Kr and¹³³Xe concentrations in the environmental air samples. Based on cryogenic adsorption of krypton and xenon on charcoal followed by chromatographic separation from other gases, the⁸⁵Kr and¹³³Xe recovered from 200 liters of atmospheric air can be determined by either on-line gas flow proportional counter or liquid scintillation counting. The recovery yields of krypton and xenon examined by using⁸⁵Kr and¹³³Xe tracers were nearly 100%. The minimum detectable activity of⁸⁵Kr and¹³³Xe by gas flow proportional counting is about 7.40 Bq. The method is satisfactory for environmental monitoring applications under abnormal conditions of nuclear facilities. However, for lower level environmental⁸⁵Kr and¹³³Xe measurements, the liquid scintillation counting method can be applied due to their extremely low detection limits (i.e. 0.107 Bq and 0.093 Bq for⁸⁵Kr and¹³³Xe, respectively). Using this method, the measurable limits of concentrations are 0.535 Bq/m³ and 0.466 Bq/m³ for⁸⁵Kr and¹³³Xe, respectively.     

Frequent oscillation in a nonlinear partial difference equation

This paper is concerned with a class of nonlinear delay partial difference equations with variable coefficients, which may change sign. By making use of frequency measures, some new oscillatory criteria are established. This is the first time oscillation of these partial difference equations is discussed by employing frequency measures.      

Fabricating blazing grating on NGD by photochemical etching

This paper tries to introduce the reader to the method of using photochemical re-action to copy holographic optical elements(HOEs)in relief.The holographic blazing gratingso copied is groove depth adjustable phase modulability enlarged through copying and 3.3times the diffraction efficiency(DE)of the original grating.It is expected that the newmethod will lead to the mass production of the light-weight HOEs at low cost.     

早期火灾图像监测技术的应用与比较

本文对可提供图像信息的火灾物理现象进行了具体分析，讨论了利用摄像技术进行早期火灾探测的可能性、使用条件以及图像监测技术在火灾探测中的地位和作用，进行了若干种图像监测技术的对比实验，得出了相应的结论。     

Diffusion study of multi-organic layers in OLEDs by ToF-SIMS

A model organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) with structure of tris(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum (Alq₃)/N,N′-diphenyl-N,N′-bis[1-naphthy-(1,1′-diphenyl)]-4,4′-diamine (NPB)/indium tin oxide (ITO)-coated glass was fabricated for diffusion study by ToF-SIMS. The results demonstrate that ToF-SIMS is capable of delineating the structure of multi-organic layers in OLEDs and providing specific molecular information to aid deciphering the diffusion phenomena. Upon heat treatment, the solidity or hardness of the device was reduced. Complicated chemical reaction might occur at the NPB/ITO interface and results in the formation of a buffer layer, which terminates the upper diffusion of ions from underlying ITO.
