In this article, we report a new method that involves headspace single-drop microextraction and ion chromatography for the preconcentration and determination of fluoride. The method lies in the in situ hydrogen fluoride generation and subsequent sequestration into an alkaline microdrop (15 μL) exposed to the headspace above the stirred aqueous sample. The NaF formed in the drop was then determined by ion chromatography. The influences of some crucial single-drop microextraction parameters such as the extraction temperature, extraction time, sample stirring speed, sulphuric acid concentration and ionic strength of the sample, on extraction efficiency were investigated. In the optimal condition, an enrichment factor of 97 was achieved in 15 min. The calibration working range was from 10 μg L−1 to 2000 μg L−1 (R2 = 0.998), and the limit of detection (signal to noise ratio of 3) was 3.8 μg L−1 of fluoride. Finally, the proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of fluoride in different milk samples. The recoveries of fluoride (at spiked concentrations of 200 μg L−1 and 600 μg L−1 into milk) in real samples ranged from 96.9% to 107.7%. Intra-day precision (N = 3) in terms of peak area, expressed as relative standard deviation, was found to be within the range of 0.24-1.02%. 相似文献

Ambient ionization based on liquid extraction is widely used in mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) of molecules in biological samples. The development of nanospray desorption electrospray ionization (nano-DESI) has enabled the robust imaging of tissue sections with high spatial resolution. However, the fabrication of the nano-DESI probe is challenging, which limits its dissemination to the broader scientific community. Herein, we describe the design and performance of an integrated microfluidic probe (iMFP) for nano-DESI MSI. The glass iMFP, fabricated using photolithography, wet etching, and polishing, shows comparable performance to the capillary-based nano-DESI MSI in terms of stability and sensitivity; a spatial resolution of better than 25 μm was obtained in these first proof-of-principle experiments. The iMFP is easy to operate and align in front of a mass spectrometer, which will facilitate broader use of liquid-extraction-based MSI in biological research, drug discovery, and clinical studies. 相似文献

A mild and simple synthesis process for large-scale vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFBs) energy storage systems is desirable. A graphite felt/MnO2 (GF-MNO) composite electrode with excellent electrocatalytic activity towards VO2+/VO2+ redox couples in a VRFB was synthesized by a one-step hydrothermal process. The resulting GF-MNO electrodes possess improved electrochemical kinetic reversibility of the vanadium redox reactions compared to pristine GF electrodes, and the corresponding energy efficiency and discharge capacity at 150 mA cm?2 are increased by 12.5% and 40%, respectively. The discharge capacity is maintained at 4.8 A h L?1 at the ultrahigh current density of 250 mA cm?2. Above all, 80% of the energy efficiency of the GFMNO composite electrodes is retained after 120 charge-discharge cycles at 150 mA cm?2. Furthermore, these electrodes demonstrated that more evenly distributed catalytic active sites were obtained from the MnO2 particles under acidic conditions. The proposed synthetic route is facile, and the raw materials are low cost and environmentally friendly. A chiral ligand exchange capillary electrophoresis (CLE-CE) method using Zn(II) as the central ion and l-4-hydroxyproline as the chiral ligand coordinating with γ-cyclodextrin (γ-CD) was developed for the enantioseparation of amino acids (AAs) and dipeptides. The effects of various separation parameters, including the pH of the running buffer, the ratio of Zn(II) to l-4-hydroxyproline, the concentration of complexes and cyclodextrins (CDs) were systematically investigated. After optimization, it has been found that eight pairs of labeled AAs and six pairs of labeled dipeptides could be baseline-separated with a running electrolyte of 100.0 mM boric acid, 5.0 mM ammonium acetate, 3.0 mM Zn(II), 6.0 mM l-hydroxyproline and 4.0 mM γ-CD at pH 8.2. The quantitation of AAs and dipeptides was conducted and good linearity (r2 ≥ 0.997) and favorable repeatability (RSD ≤ 3.6%) were obtained. Furthermore, the proposed method was applied in determining the enantiomeric purity of AAs and dipeptides. Meanwhile, the possible enantiorecognition mechanism based on the synergistic effect of chiral metal complexes and γ-CD was explored and discussed briefly. 相似文献

This work presents an automatic system, based on an electronic tongue, for resolution of mixtures of three pesticides. Inhibition detections were performed during the steady state of biosensors response. Three biosensors were built using two enzymes, electric eel (EE), genetically-modified Drosophila melanogaster (B131), and electric eel co-immobilized with drosophila melanogaster (BH). Calibrations curves for paraoxon, dichorlvos, and carbofuran were performed in the ranges 0.4–50.4 µM, 0.01–1.01 µM, 0.01–0.41 µM with LOD of 3.91 × 10?8, 6.30 × 10?11, and 5.84 × 10?10, respectively. An artificial neural network (ANN) was used to model the combined response of three pesticides. A set of 19 mixtures were prepared in order to train the artificial neural network, the modeling was validated with a set of 6 spiked samples of river water. Wetting behavior of a polymer resin used as matrix on fabric surfaces is one of the key attributes for making high quality
structural composites. Though incorporation of various functionalized nanoparticles can stimulate improvements to many properties
of epoxy resins, there has not been any report on wettability of any nano-modified epoxy on rough inclined fabric surfaces.
In this research work, wetting behavior of a previously developed nano-epoxy resin modified by a type of reactive graphitic
nanofibers (r-GNFs) was investigated. The observation results revealed that a unique wetting behavior was discovered from
the nano-epoxy on rough fabric surfaces due to the contribution of the r-GNFs. Based on this dramatically improved wettability
of the epoxy, a concept of dry–wet contact model was proposed to interpret the different wetting phenomenon observed from
the nano-epoxy and that of the pure epoxy. The improved wetting characteristics of the nano-epoxy system will be essential
for enabling future energy efficient infusion processing for manufacturing high quality and high-performance structural composite
