Solvent-free synthesis of 1-amidoalkyl-2-naphthols using magnetic nanoparticle-supported 2-(((4-(1-iminoethyl)phenyl)imino)methyl)phenol Cu (II) or Zn (II) Schiff base complexes

Two magnetic nanoparticle-supported 2-(((4-(1-iminoethyl)phenyl)imino)methyl)phenols were successfully synthesized, characterized, and applied in the one-pot three-component reaction of substituted benzaldehydes, 2-naphthol, and amides for synthesis of 1-amidoalkyl-2-naphthols. These three-component processes occurred under solvent-free reaction conditions at 80 °C. The magnetically recoverable supported Schiff base metal catalysts can be reused several times in the model reaction. The synthesized catalysts are also easily separated from the reaction mixture by applying an external magnet. This procedure offers the advantages of simple, operational procedure as well as no use of hazardous organic solvents.

     

Fatou’s lemma for Sugeno integral

Fatou’s lemma plays an important role in classical probability and measure theory. Non-additive measure is a generalization of additive probability measure. Sugeno’s integral is a useful tool in several theoretical and applied statistics which have been built on non-additive measure. In this paper, a Fatou-type lemma for Sugeno integral is shown. The studied inequality is based on the classical Fatou lemma for Lebesgue integral. To illustrate the proposed inequalities some examples are given.

Catalytic Performance of Divanadium-Substituted Molybdophosphate Acid,H5PMo10V2O40, in Liquid-Phase Esterification of Hexanoic Acid

Divanadium-substituted molybdophosphate acid, H₅PMo₁₀V₂O₄₀, efficiently catalyzes the synthesis of ethylhexanoate from hexanoic acid and ethanol at reflux temperature and under solventless conditions. Comparison of H₅PMo₁₀V₂O₄₀ with the other heteropolyacids showed that this catalyst gives the highest total yield of ethylhexanoate. The effects of the molar ratio of acid:alcohol, reaction times, and temperatures were studied.     

Pre-equilibrium effects on proton, deuteron, and alpha induced reactions for the production of 72As as a PET imaging radioisotope

In this study, the production methods and the applications of ⁷²As are reviewed with special attention to the feasibility of the cyclotron production of ⁷²As. TALYS-1.4 and ALICE/ASH codes were employed to illustrate the formation of the ⁷²As via ^natGe(p, xn)⁷²As, ^72,73,74Ge(p, xn)⁷²As, ⁷²Ge(d, 2n)⁷²As, and ⁶⁹Ga(α, n)⁷²As reactions. Hybrid model and geometry dependent hybrid model were used in ALICE/ASH code to calculate the pre-equilibrium neutron-production cross sections. The excitation functions of the reactions were taken from the TENDL-2011 database and compared with the reported experimental measurement. The equilibrium and pre-equilibrium effects on the reactions were also discussed. An optimum energy range and the level of impurities for each reaction were determined. The ⁷²As production yield was evaluated with concentration on the excitation function calculations and the stopping powers of the projectiles in the targets.     

Hölder and Minkowski type inequalities for pseudo-integral

There are proven generalizations of the Hölder’s and Minkowski’s inequalities for the pseudo-integral. There are considered two cases of the real semiring with pseudo-operations: one, when pseudo-operations are defined by monotone and continuous function g, the second semiring ([a, b], sup, ⊙), where ⊙ is generated and the third semiring where both pseudo-operations are idempotent, i.e., ⊕ = sup and ⊙ = inf.     

Salicylaldiminato-based cobalt(III)-, iron(III)-, and chromium(III)/methyl aluminoxane catalyst systems for polymerization of <Emphasis Type="Italic">t</Emphasis>-butyl acrylate

A new series of penta-coordinated Co(III)-, Fe(III)-, and Cr(III)- complexes (6–10) bearing N-salicylidineisopropylaniline and sodium N-(4-sulfonitsalicylidineisopropyl-aniline) ligands has been synthesized and utilized, after activation with methyl aluminoxane, as catalysts for the polymerization of tert-butylacrylate (t-BA). High molar mass P(t-BA) polymers with very low molecular weight distributions were produced (M _w/M _n = 1.06–1.09). Cobalt- and chromium-based precatalysts showed higher activity towards the polymerization reaction than those of the iron complexes. The presence of sulfonated groups on the para position of the aryl group in the backbone of the ligand decreases the catalytic activity of the complexes. The ortho alkyl substituents on the aryl groups of the ligand have a favorable influence on the polymerization activity compared to the alkyl-free analogue (11).     

Berwald type inequality for Sugeno integral

Nonadditive measure is a generalization of additive probability measure. Sugeno integral is a useful tool in several theoretical and applied statistics which has been built on non-additive measure. Integral inequalities play important roles in classical probability and measure theory. The classical Berwald integral inequality is one of the famous inequalities. This inequality turns out to have interesting applications in information theory. In this paper, Berwald type inequality for the Sugeno integral based on a concave function is studied. Several examples are given to illustrate the validity of this inequality. Finally, a conclusion is drawn and a problem for further investigations is given.
