The reaction of arylboronic acids with L ‐O‐benzoyl‐tartaric acid and D ,L ‐malic acid has been studied. The obtained (acyloxy)boranes are moderately stable in solution and decompose to give boroxines. 5‐Carboxymethyl‐2‐(4‐methylthiophenyl)‐1,3,2‐dioxaborolan‐4‐one was obtained in the reaction of 4‐methylthiophenylboronic acid with D ,L ‐malic acid and characterized by X‐ray structural analysis. The use of L ‐(−)‐malic acid afforded the optically pure product which can be used as the powerful chiral reagent in the enantioselective reduction of ketones. The main purpose of the present paper was to apply the Laser Doppler Anemometry (LDA) technique to measure turbulent liquid flow in a Kenics static mixer. The LDA set-up was a one-channel backscatter system with argon-ion laser. Measurements in the static mixer were carried out for three values of the Reynolds number: 5000, 10000, and 18000. Water was used as the process liquid. Values of the axial and tangential components of the local, mean, and root mean square velocities were measured inside the static mixer. It was observed that the shape of the velocity profile depends strongly on the Reynolds number, Re, as well as on the axial, h, and radial, α, position of the measurement point. Strong dependence of the velocity fluctuations on the Reynolds number was found in the investigated range of Re and the measurement point position. Furthermore, one-dimensional energy spectra of the velocity fluctuations were also obtained by means of the Fast Fourier Transform. Fluctuation spectra of the axial and tangential velocities provided information about the energy density of velocity fluctuations in the observed range of Reynolds numbers. A study of the energy spectra led to the conclusion that the energy density increases with the increasing radial distance from the mixer walls at constant values of h, Re, and α. Minor variations in the mean value of the energy density, E, were observed together with variations of the measurement point angular position, α. In addition, it was observed that an increase of the Reynolds number causes significant increase of the power spectral density.  相似文献

MNDO calculations were made for triethylboroxin (EtBO)3 and triphenylboroxin (PhBO)3 using both X-ray determined and optimized geometry of these molecules. The results were compared with hypothetical “monomeric” molecules R---B=O. Calculated energies of trimerization are about −200 kJ mol−1 for both compounds and confirm the much higher stability of the “trimer”. Ebulliometric determination of molecular weight of triphenylboroxin in 2-pentanone confirms its trimeric character.  相似文献

Looking inside the human body fascinated mankind for thousands of years. Current diagnostic and therapy methods are often limited by inadequate sensitivity, specificity and spatial resolution. Raman imaging may bring revolution in monitoring of disease and treatment. The main advantage of Raman imaging is that it gives spatial information about various chemical constituents in defined cellular organelles in contrast to conventional methods (liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry, NMR, HPLC) that rely on bulk or fractionated analyses of extracted components. We demonstrated how Raman imaging can drive the progress on breast cancer just unimaginable a few years ago. We looked inside human breast ducts answering fundamental questions about location and distribution of various biochemical components inside the lumen, epithelial cells of the duct and the stroma around the duct during cancer development. We have identified Raman candidates as diagnostic markers for breast cancer prognosis: carotenoids, mammaglobin, palmitic acid and sphingomyelin as key molecular targets in ductal breast cancer in situ, and propose the molecular mechanisms linking oncogenes with lipid programming.  相似文献

The emulsification processes, during which acylglycerols/zinc stearate emulsifier, water, and oil phase formed ternary systems, such as water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions, oil-in-water (O/W) dispersions, and unstable oil-water mixtures, were investigated in order to characterize the progressive transformations of the dispersed systems. The type, structure, and phase transitions of the systems were found to be determined by temperature and water phase content. Crystallization of the emulsifier caused the destabilization and subsequent phase inversion of the emulsions studied, at a temperature of 60-61 degrees C. The observed destabilization was temporary and led, at lower temperature, to W/O emulsions, "O/W + O" systems, or O/W dispersions, depending on the water content. Simultaneous emulsification and cooling of 20-50 wt % water systems resulted in the formation of stable W/O emulsions that contained a number of large water droplets with dispersed oil globules inside them ("W/O + O/W/O"). In water-rich systems (60-80 wt % of water), crystallization of the emulsifier was found to influence the formation of crystalline vesicle structures that coexisted, in the external water phase, with globules of crystallized oil phase. Results of calorimetric, rheological, and light scattering experiments, for the O/W dispersions obtained, indicate the possible transition of a monostearoylglycerol-based alpha-crystalline gel phase to a coagel state, in these multicomponent systems.  相似文献

Flow visualization experiments were performed for supersonic and hypersonic nitrogen test gas flows over a cylinder. The results were used to quantify the influence of three-dimensional effects on optical line-of-sight visualization measurements. Images of cylindrical models of varying aspect ratios (length to diameter) were taken. Shock stand-off distance measurements for the models were compared with a two-dimensional approximation and numerical simulations. For aspect ratios of two and above, the two-dimensional approximation was acceptable within experimental uncertainty. The measured shock stand-off decreased by less than 5% from an asymptotic value for an infinite length cylinder. For smaller aspect ratios, a correction factor for the shock stand-off needs to be applied if comparisons between the two-dimensional approximation and experimental measurements are to be drawn. An estimate of this correction factor has been derived from an empirical fit to the available data.   相似文献

We prove the existence of global set-valued solutions to the Cauchy problem for partial differential equations and inclusions, with either single-valued or set-valued initial conditions. The method is based on the equivalence between this problem and problem of finding viability tubes of the associated characteristic system of ordinary differential equations.
