In continuation of our efforts to find a new class of antimicrobial agents, a series of pyrazole, 1,2,4‐triazine, isoxazole, pyrimidine, and other related products containing a hydrazide moiety were prepared via the reaction of 2‐cyano‐N‐((2‐methoxynaphthalen‐1‐yl)methylene) acetohydrazide ( 1 ) with appropriate chemical reagents. These compounds were evaluated for their antimicrobial activities, and also their minimum inhibitory concentration against most of test organisms was performed. Among the tested compounds 4 , 5 , 6 , and 16 displayed excellent antimicrobial activity. All the synthesized products were confirmed by elemental analysis, IR, 1H‐NMR, 13C‐NMR, and mass spectral data. 相似文献
Two validated, simple and precise densitometric high-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC) quantification methods were proposed for both qualitative and quantitative estimation of oleuropein in Olea europaea leaves and a pharmaceutical product utilizing normal-phase and reversed-phase silica gel TLC plates. In method I, 10 × 20 cm glass plates coated with 0.2 mm thin layers of normal-phase silica gel 60 containing F254 (E-Merck, Germany) and a mixture of ethyl acetate‒methanol‒water (8:1:0.5, V/V) were used as the stationary and the mobile phase, respectively. Method II utilized 10 × 20 cm glass-backed plates supporting 0.2 mm layers of RP-18 silica gel 60 containing F254 (E-Merck, Germany) as the stationary phase and green solvents mixture composed of ethanol‒water (5.5:4.5, V/V) as the mobile phase. The two methods resulted in sharp, symmetrical, well-resolved peaks at RF values of 0.47 ± 0.02 and 0.78 ± 0.03 with linearity ranges 200‒1400 ng/spot (r2 = 0.9994) and 200‒1400 ng/spot (r2 = 0.9996) for method I and method II, respectively. Spots corresponding to oleuropein were scanned at 200 nm. The two methods complied with the ICH guidelines for validation. Due to simplicity, low cost and short analysis time, the methods can be good alternatives for the quality control of different products containing olive leaves extract or pure oleuropein.
Seventeen compounds, including a new lanostane triterpenoid, 24(Z)-1β-3β-dihydroxyeupha-7,24-dien-26-oic acid, have been isolated from the methanolic extracts of two samples of Jordanian propolis collected from two different places with different dominant flora. We study a combustion-radiation model which models premixed flames propagating in a gaseous mixture with inert dust. This model combines diffusion of mass and temperature with reaction at the flame front. We choose a free boundary model to describe the propagating flames and take a linearized approximation to model the radiation, but we keep a nonlinear reaction term which is temperature dependent. The radiative transfer of thermal energy emitted and absorbed by dust is modelled using the Eddington equation. We analyse the bifurcation diagram of the travelling wave solution curve. In a specific parameter plane, travelling waves are given by a single smooth curve which is parameterized by the flame temperature. 相似文献
This work presents the applicability of applying a fuzzy logic approach to the calculation of noontime erythemal UV irradiance for the plain areas of Egypt. When different combinations of data sets were examined from the test performance point of view, it was found that 91% of the whole series was estimated within a deviation of less than +/-10 mW/m(2), and 9% of these deviations lay within the range of +/-15 mW/m(2) to +/-25 mW/m(2). 相似文献

This paper demonstrates the development of an analytical method for detecting steroid hormones by coupling HPLC to electrochemical detection, using a nickel‐modified glassy carbon electrode. The method was evaluated in terms of sensitivity, linear dynamic range, limit of detection, and response stability. The developed method exhibited good figures of merit for the steroid hormones studied with no evidence of electrode fouling. As an example, the limit of detection (S/N=3) for E3 was 0.10 µM and the response precision (n=5) was 0.6 %. The application of the method for the analysis of a real river water sample is demonstrated. 相似文献
