Diels–Alder click reaction was successfully applied for the preparation of 3‐arm star polymers (A3) using furan protected maleimide end‐functionalized polymers and trianthracene functional linking agent (2) at reflux temperature of toluene for 48 h. Well‐defined furan protected maleimide end‐functionalized polymers, poly (ethylene glycol), poly(methyl methacrylate), and poly(tert‐butyl acrylate) were obtained by esterification or atom transfer radical polymerization. Obtained star polymers were characterized via NMR and GPC (refractive index and triple detector detection). Splitting of GPC traces of the resulting polymer mixture notably displayed that Diels–Alder click reaction was a versatile and a reliable route for the preparation of A3 star polymer. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Azidopropyl‐heptaisobutyl‐substituted polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS‐N3) was reacted with 1,1,1‐tris[4‐(2‐propynyloxy)phenyl]‐ethane ( 1 ) and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG)‐b‐poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) copolymer with alkyne at its center (PEG‐PMMA‐alkyne) affording the first time synthesis of 3‐arm star POSS and PEG‐PMMA‐POSS 3‐miktoarm star terpolymer, respectively, in the presence of CuBr/N,N,N′,N″,N″‐pentamethyldiethylenetriamine as catalyst and N,N‐dimethylformamide/tetrahydrofuran as solvent at room temperature. The precursors and the target star polymers were characterized comprehensively by 1H NMR, GPC, and DSC. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 47: 5947–5953, 2009  相似文献

A combination of ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) and click chemistry approach is first time utilized in the preparation of 3‐miktoarm star terpolymer. The bromide end‐functionality of monotelechelic poly(N‐butyl oxanorbornene imide) (PNBONI‐Br) is first transformed to azide and then reacted with polystyrene‐b‐poly(methyl methacrylate) copolymer with alkyne at the junction point (PS‐b‐PMMA‐alkyne) via click chemistry strategy, producing PS‐PMMA‐PNBONI 3‐miktoarm star terpolymer. PNBONI‐Br was prepared by ROMP of N‐butyl oxanorbornene imide (NBONI) 1 in the presence of (Z)‐but‐2‐ene‐1,4‐diyl bis(2‐bromopropanoate) 2 as terminating agent. PS‐b‐PMMA‐alkyne copolymer was prepared successively via nitroxide‐mediated radical polymerization (NMP) of St and atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of MMA. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Two types of multiarm star block copolymers: (polystyrene)m‐poly(divinylbenzene)‐poly(methyl methacrylate)n, (PS)m‐polyDVB‐(PMMA)n and (polystyrene)m‐poly(divinylbenzene)‐poly(tert‐butyl acrylate)k, (PS)m‐polyDVB‐(PtBA)k were successfully prepared via a combination of cross‐linking and Diels–Alder click reactions based on “arm‐first” methodology. For this purpose, multiarm star polymer with anthracene functionality as reactive periphery groups was prepared by a cross‐linking reaction of divinyl benzene using α‐anthracene end functionalized polystyrene (PS‐Anth) as a macroinitiator. Thus, obtained multiarm star polymer was then reacted with furan protected maleimide‐end functionalized polymers: PMMA‐MI or PtBA‐MI at reflux temperature of toluene for 48 h resulting in the corresponding multiarm star block copolymers via Diels–Alder click reaction. The multiarm star and multiarm star block copolymers were characterized by using 1H NMR, SEC, Viscotek triple detection SEC (TD‐SEC) and UV. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The double click reactions (Cu catalyzed Huisgen and Diels–Alder reactions) were used as a new strategy for the preparation of well‐defined heterograft copolymers in one‐pot technique. The synthetic strategy to the various stages of this work is outlined: (i) preparing random copolymers of styrene (St) and p‐chloromethylstyrene (CMS) (which is a functionalizable monomer) via nitroxide mediated radical polymerization (NMP); (ii) attachment of anthracene functionality to the preformed copolymer by the o‐etherification procedure and then conversion of the remaining ? CH2Cl into azide functionality; (iii) by using double click reactions in one‐pot technique, maleimide end‐functionalized poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA‐MI) via atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of MMA and alkyne end‐functionalized poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG‐alkyne) were introduced onto the copolymer bearing pendant anthryl and azide moieties. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A novel strategy was developed for tailoring of SiO2 and TiO2 nanoparticle surfaces with poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL). Thus, a self-curable polyester, poly(2-hydroxypropylene maleate) was adsorbed on the nanoparticle surfaces and heated to 180 °C to give a cross-linked polyester layer with residual hydroxyalkyl groups on their surfaces. Surface-initiated polymerization of ε-caprolactone from hydroxyalkyl groups on the surfaces yielded core-shell nanoparticles with cross-linked core and PCL shells (22.2–71.4%). The organic shell layers around the nanoparticle cores were evidenced by transmission electron microscopy, dynamic light scattering, and thermogravimetric analyses techniques. The core-shell nanoparticles were then employed in preparing the stable and the homogenous dispersions with poly(methyl methacrylate-stat-butyl acrylate) solutions. An application of the solutions onto glass substrates yielded uniform and nearly transparent free standing films (40–60 μm) with good homogeneity as inferred from scanning electron microscopy pictures.  相似文献

A series of crown ethers carrying an anthracene group with nitrogen–sulfur donor atom, which differ in having three, four and five sulfur atoms in the macrocycle was designed and synthesized by the reaction of the corresponding macrocyclic compound and 9-chloromethyl-anthracene. The influence of metal cations such as Al3+, Zn2+, Fe2+, Fe3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Mn2+, Cu2+, Cd2+, Hg2+ and Pb2+ on the spectroscopic properties of the ligands was investigated in acetonitrile–dichloromethane (1:1) by means of absorption and emission spectrometry. Absorption spectra show isosbestic points in the spectrophotometric titration of Al3+, Zn2+, Fe2+, Fe3+, Cu2+, Hg2+ and Pb2+ the results of which disclosed the complexation compositions and complex stability constants of the novel ligands with these cations. The monoazapentathia crown ether showed sensitivity for Al3+ with linear range and detection limit of 2.6 × 10−6 M–2.6 × 10−5 M and 8.1 × 10−7 M, respectively.  相似文献

Sodium 10-undecenyl sulfate (SUS), sodium 10-undecenyl leucinate (SUL) and their five different mixed micelles at varied percent mole ratios were prepared. The critical micelle concentration (CMC), C20, γCMC, partial specific volume, methylene group selectivity, mobilities and elution window were determined using a variety of analytical techniques. These surfactant systems were then evaluated as novel pseudostationary phases in micellar electrokinetic chromatography (MEKC). As a commonly used pseudostationary phase in MEKC, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) was also evaluated. The CMC values of SUS and SUL were found to be 26 and 16 mM, respectively, whereas the CMC of mixed surfactants was found to be very similar to that of SUL. The C20 values decreased dramatically as the concentration of SUL is increased in the mixed micelle. An increase in SUL content gradually increased the methylene group selectivity making the binary mixed surfactants more hydrophobic. Linear solvation energy relationships (LSERs) and free energy of transfer studies were also applied to predict the selectivity differences between the surfactant systems. The cohesiveness and the hydrogen bond acidic character of the surfactant systems were found to have the most significant influence on selectivity and MEKC retention. The SUS and SDS showed the strongest while SUL showed the weakest hydrogen bond donating capacity. The basicity, interaction with n and π-electrons of the solute and dipolarity/polarizability were the least significant factors in LSER model for the surfactant systems studied. Free energies of transfer of selected functional groups in each surfactant systems were also calculated and found to be in good agreement with the LSER data.  相似文献

We describe a platform technology, called metal-assisted and microwave-assisted evaporative crystallization (MA-MAEC), based on the combined use of silver nanoparticles and microwave heating for selective and rapid crystallization of small molecules. In this regard, the crystallization of a model small molecule (glycine) was achieved in several seconds. Glycine crystals grown on silver nanostructures with and without microwave heating were found to be larger than those grown on blank glass slides. The MA-MAEC technique has the potential to selectively grow the desired polymorphs of small molecules "on-demand" in a fraction of the time as compared to the conventional evaporative crystallization.  相似文献

We analyze the discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equation with a saturable nonlinearity through the (G/G)-expansion method to present some improved results. Three types of analytic solutions with arbitrary parameters are constructed; hyperbolic, trigonometric, and rational which have not been explicitly computed before.  相似文献
