Asymmetric hydrogenation has evolved as one of the most powerful tools to construct stereocenters. However, the asymmetric hydrogenation of unfunctionalized tetrasubstituted acyclic olefins remains the pinnacle of asymmetric synthesis and an unsolved challenge. We report herein the discovery of an iridium catalyst for the first, generally applicable, highly enantio‐ and diastereoselective hydrogenation of such olefins and the mechanistic insights of the reaction. The power of this chemistry is demonstrated by the successful hydrogenation of a wide variety of electronically and sterically diverse olefins in excellent yield and high enantio‐ and diastereoselectivity. 相似文献

Interfaces play an important role in enhancing the energy conversion performance of dye‐sensitized solar cells (DSCs). The interface effects have been studied by many techniques, but most of the studies only focused on one part of a DSC, rather than on a complete solar cell. Hence, monitoring the interface evolution of a DSC is still very challenging. Here, in situ/operando resonance Raman (RR) spectroscopic analyses were carried out to monitor the dynamics of the photovoltaic conversion processes in a DSC. We observed the creation of new species (i.e., polyiodide and iodine aggregates) in the photosensitization process. We also obtained molecular‐scale dynamic evidence that the bands from the C=C and C=N bonds of 2,2′‐bipyridyl (bpy), the S=C=N bonds of the NCS ligand, and photochemical products undergo reasonably strong intensity and frequency changes, which clearly demonstrates that they are involved in charge separation. Furthermore, RR spectroscopy can also be used to quickly evaluate the performance of DSCs. 相似文献

We have successfully prepared biocompatible and biodegradable hollow microspheres using carboxyl‐functionalized polystyrene particles as core template and the chitosan cross‐linked with glutaraldehyde as the shell. The monodisperse carboxyl‐functionalized polystyrene particles were made by emulsifier‐free emulsion polymerization. The structure, morphology, and constitution of the carboxyl‐functionalized polystyrene particles were characterized by FTIR, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The structure, morphology, and formation process of the hollow cross‐linked chitosan microspheres were characterized by FTIR, SEM, and TEM. The results revealed that the latex particles were removed by exposed to solvent and the microspheres exhibited the hollow structure. This work confirmed that the hollow microspheres were accomplished by fabricating on the basis of chemical cross‐linking on the surface of the carboxyl‐functionalized polystyrene particles and then removing off the cores of particles. Moreover, with the increase of carboxyl‐functionalization degree at the surface of latexes and the increase of cross‐linking period, the thicker and firmer monodisperse hollow microspheres were obtained. Acid‐treated g‐C3N4‐Cu2O was prepared by hydrothermal reduction followed by high temperature calcination and acid exfoliation. The structures and properties of as‐synthesized samples were characterized using a range of techniques, such as X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, Photoluminescence Spectroscopy and the Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) theory. The photocatalytic activity was evaluated by measuring the photodegradation of methyl orange under visible‐light irradiation. Based on the results of TEM, XPS, EPR and other techniques, it was verified that a heterojunction was formed. The acid treatment process can increase the specific surface area to form abundant heterojunction interfaces as channels for photo‐generated carrier separation, thereby enhancing its light utilization and quantum efficiency. Results indicate that acid‐treated g‐C3N4‐Cu2O possesses a large specific surface area, which provides plentiful activated sites for heterojunctions to form; in addition, it showed a high visible light effect and the minimum charge‐transfer resistance. Furthermore, the g‐C3N4‐Cu2O material exhibits high levels of effectiveness and stability. Electron paramagnetic resonance and a series of radical trapping experiments demonstrate that the holes and ?O2? could be the main active species in methyl orange photodegradation. This work could provide new insights into the fabrication of composite materials as high‐performance photocatalysts, and facilitate their application in addressing environmental protection issues. 相似文献

Continuous-wave operation of InAs/InP quantum dot tunable external-cavity laser grown by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition

We demonstrate high-performance broadband tunable external-cavity lasers(ECLs) with the metal-organic chemical vapor deposition(MOCVD) grown In As/In P quantum dots(QDs) structures. Without cavity facet coatings, the 3-d B spectral bandwidth of the Fabry–Perot(FP) laser is approximately 10.8 nm, while the tuning bandwidth of ECLs is 45 nm.Combined with the anti-reflection(AR)/high-reflection(HR) facet coating, a 92 nm bandwidth tuning range has been obtained with the wavelength covering from 1414 nm to 1506 nm. In most of the tuning range, the threshold current density is lower than 1.5 k A/cm2. The maximum output power of 6.5 m W was achieved under a 500 m A injection current.All achievements mentioned above were obtained under continuous-wave(CW) mode at room temperature(RT). 相似文献

Urea, sodium hydroxide and sodium sulfide were used to treat the cuticle layer of wool before graft copolymerization and amidoximation to enhance the uranium uptaking capacity of amidoximated wool fiber based adsorbent (Wool-g-AOs). The wool-g-AOs were used for recovery of U(VI) from aqueous solutions. The simulated nuclear industry effluent was used for investigating the selectivity and industrial applicability of Wool-g-AOs. The adsorption of uranium(VI) on Wool-g-AOs was pH dependent. The Langmuir model fitted well with the equilibrium data. Kinetic data were fitted well to pseudo second order model.

Nano-Mg(OH)2 (nanometre magnesium hydroxide, nano-MH) was successfully introduced into the esterification and polycondensation system by in situ polymerization to obtain PET/magnesium salt composites (PETMS). The thermal properties and flame retardancy of PETMS were investigated by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), UL-94 vertical burning and limited oxygen index (LOI) test. The DSC and TGA results show that magnesium salts in the PET matrix have little effect on the thermal properties of PET, but a significant effect on the thermal stabilities of the composites. The results of LOI and UL-94 test show PETMS have higher LOI values (≥25%) and V-0 rating without melt dripping in the UL-94 test, indicating that PETMS have good flame retardancy and anti-dripping property. Moreover, the residues of magnesium salts and composites after TGA test were also studied by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) to better understand the mechanism of flame retardancy, which reveals that magnesium salts accelerate the degradation of PET and catalyze the formation of char. The SEM results show the morphological structures of the char effectively protect the composites’ internal structures and inhibit the heat, smoke transmission and reduce the fuel gases when the fire contacts them. 相似文献
